In 1982, after 16 years of success, Bob and Greg amicably terminated their association. He was an avid reader. He enjoyed being around people and engaging them in conversation. He loved to travel with Bernie and friends throughout the United States and overseas. Tennis was his athletic passion, but he found time enough to become a proficient downhill skier and passable racquetball player. Bob obtained a private pilot's license and enjoyed the challenges of flying. More recently, Bob received great satisfaction from overseeing his cattle operations on his ranch north of Dolores, Colo. Bob was an inspiration to all of his family and friends. Even when dealing with poor health, he was always positive, upbeat and supportive. Shoberg -- Duncan Shoberg, (1944-2002) Father, Brother, Son, Marine. Duncan passed on December 12, 2002 in Houston, TX due to complications during heart surgery. Duncan had two honorable careers with the Federal Aviation Administration where he developed strong relationships in his early service, and treasured his new comrades during his renewed career. Duncan also had a rewarding career with Sweetheart Cup Company during his break in service with the FAA. Anyone would enjoy pheasant hunting on the Swinburn plantation, and Duncan, in particular, loved that annual event. All of the things that Duncan cherished came together in the hunt¯family, best of friends, early winter, single purpose and a light beer. Whether it was Sunday football, golf, hunting, or a breath of fresh air, Duncan appreciated simple pleasures like very few do. Duncan is survived by his only son, Matthew; his three brothers, Dick, Jim, and Eric; his aunt, Wanda Lee Shoberg; his nephews, Pete, Luke, and Ivan McCrey; his nieces, Kerstin, Meg Gandy, and Adrienne; and many close and loving friends. Services will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2002, at 1:00 p.m. at French Mortuary Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Memorial contributions may be made in Duncan¯s honor to the American Heart Association. French Mortuary ¯ Wyoming Blvd Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE.
