MOYA -- Anthony F. "Tony" Moya, 66, lifelong resident of Albuquerque passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, December 11, 2008. He is survived by his wife, Ramona; his children, Michelle and Jason Moya all of Albuquerque; two sisters, Lucy Romero of Albuquerque, and Evelyn Jaramillo of California; two brothers, Wilfred Moya and Chris Moya, both of California; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; and a very special aunt. Tony graduated from Las Cruces High School. He served his country in the United States Air Force having seen duty during the Vietnam War. Tony worked for the United States Post Office 40 years, retiring in 2007. A rosary service will be held on Monday, December 15, 2008, 6:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2008, 11:00 a.m., at St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church, 300 Mildred Ave NW at 4th Street, with interment at Santa Fe National Cemetery to follow at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the UNM Cancer Research Center, 900 Camino de Salud NE, MSC 084630. GALLEGOS -- Manuelita Gallegos, 94 years old, from Vallecitos, New Mexico, went home with the Lord on Wednesday, December 10, 2008. She was born to Ambrosio Martinez and Emilia Maestas all residents of Vallecitos. Mane was preceded in death by her husband Crestino Gallegos; and her two sons Eli and Joe Max Gallegos. She is survived by her family Mary Frances and Carlos Santistevan, Walter Gallegos and Yvonne Gonzales, Lorraine and Sam Baca, Mike and Amanda Gallegos, Sally and Skip Skinner, all from Albuquerque; Benny and Linda Gallegos from Oklahoma; Billy and Elizabeth Gallegos from Flagstaff, AZ, and Charlene and Gary Burriss from Virginia. Mane is also survived by her younger sister Carlotta Jaramillo; and was blessed with 22 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and many friends. Manuelita dearly loved all of her children and grandchildren, and like any matriarch, enjoyed cooking and caring for all of them. She brought love and laughter and great inspiration to her entire family and to everyone she met. She will be greatly missed. Public Viewing and Rosary will be held at Risen Savior Catholic Church on Wyoming on Friday, December 12, 2008 beginning at 6:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint John the Baptist- San Juan Catholic Church in San Juan Pueblo (just north of Espanola) on Saturday, December 13, 2008 at 12:30 p.m.; a Reception will follow with the body lying in State for one hour, followed by interment in the Vallecitos cemetery. BENAVIDEZ -- Boleslo P. Benavidez (Tata), 93, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on December 8, 2008. Mr. Benavidez is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Mrs. Josefita C. Benavidez; his children, Jennie Sanchez, Lillie Jaramillo and husband, Paul, James Benavidez and wife, Rosemary, Dorothy Benavidez; his sisters, Adelia Sanchez and Mary Centeno and husband, Frank; his brother, Benny Benavidez; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Benavidez was preceded in death by his brother Tony. ORONA -- Marcelina Orona, 71, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on December 7, 2008. Mrs. Orona is survived by her children, Christine Turrietta, Donald Orona and Jeanette Orona, Debbie Chavez and Mark Chavez, George Orona, Ida Lopez and husband, Lawrence, Rebecca Orona and Allen Thayer; companion, Cruz Alonzo; sister, Stella Garza; brothers, Henry Jaramillo and wife, Nena, Manuel Jaramillo, Lalo Jaramillo and wife, Patsy, Jerry Jaramillo, and Louie Jaramillo; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and one on the way. Mrs. Orona was preceded in death by her husband Edward (Lalo) Orona; sons, Bobby and Michael; parents, Natividad and Sophie; granddaughter, Tracy Orona; sister, Shanna Rambes, brother-in-law, Larry Rambes; brothers, Johnny, Pete, Melcor and wife, Lala; and nephew, Julian. JARAMILLO -- Raquel "Rachel" Jaramillo, age 101, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her children. Raquel was born in Albuquerque, NM, the daughter of Vivian Castillo and Estanislada Dimas. A kind and generous soul, Raquel extended her life in the service of those in need; as a life-long member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church, member and active participant in the following organizations: Third Order of Servites, League of the Sacred Heart, St. Vincent de Paul Society, Charter member of the Rio Communities Fire Department Auxiliary, and with Nestor, served as Padrinos of the 1966 Belen Fiesta. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nestor Jaramillo on July 26, 1995 and grandson, Mario Gabaldon. Raquel is survived by her children, Andrea Camp, Lala Gabaldon, Sally "Celia" Birner and husband, John, Tom Garcia and wife, Jean and Sr. Eileen Jaramillo, O.P; 19 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. The family would gratefully acknowledge the loving care extended by Lorena Lovato and Julie Ann Grooms, R.N. from Heartland Hospice. JARAMILLO -- Rogerio Jaramillo, 93, was called home to the Lord on Tuesday November 25, 2008. He was born on August 30, 1915, in Luis Lopez, NM. He is preceded in death by his wife Ofelia. He is survived by his five children Lillie Robles and Husband Sonny, Max Jaramillo and wife Jeannette, Lucy Aguilar and Husband Enrique, Judy Bassett and husband James, Jerry Jaramillo and wife Cheryl, 18 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren and a brother Phil Jaramillo. Rogerio was a life long member to the Catholic Church. A Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2008 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., with Rosary following at 10:00 a.m..
