SIMPSON -- Walter Simpson, 78, a resident of Albuquerque, NM, died suddenly at UNM Hospital January 9, 2004 from complications of a stroke. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Colleen Simpson; five sons, Gary Simpson and wife Marianne, Richard Simpson, Randy Simpson and wife Leta, Les Simpson and fiancee, Patricia Kincaid, Kevin Simpson and wife, Chelle; two daughters, Cindy Turner and husband, Harold, Elizabeth Hayes and husband, Robert. Walter had 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2004 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Strong-Thorne Mortuary. Services will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. in Palm Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary. Interment will follow at Sandia Memory Gardens Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers will be Randy Simpson, Les Simpson, Kevin Simpson, James Downey, Jason Downey, and Robert Hayes. Honorary Pallbearers will be Richard Simpson and Jeremy Simpson. REYNOLDS -- Ollie Mildred (Millie) Reynolds, a resident of Albuquerque since 1953, died on Friday, January 9, 2004, due to complications from Alzheimer's. Millie was married in 1933 in Durant, OK, to her husband, Boss, and they settled in Albuquerque in 1953. She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandparent, devoting her life to caring for them. She loved pets, gardening, cooking, music and dancing. She was greatly loved and will be missed by her family. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Boss Reynolds; son, Charles "Chuck" H. Reynolds and his wife, Jann; daughter, Mitzi R. Andermann and her husband, Robert, all of Albuquerque; 7 granddaughters; 9 great grandchildren. Millie was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Maggie Burgess; brother, Huston Burgess and son, David Reynolds. Services will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2004, at 10:00 a.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. ST CYR -- Virginia W. St. Cyr, born December 27, 1922 in McPherson, Kansas passed into the hands of her Lord Jesus Christ on January 5, 2004 after losing a three-year battle with leukemia. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Voorhies; brother, Howard Wilson; children, Alan, Walter, Christine, and Brian; daughters-in-law, Victoria and Elizabeth; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and niece, Sheila Park. She served in the U.S. army as a nurse during WWII at the rank of 2nd Lieutenant followed by a long medical career at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque and as a RN for Dr. Jack Redman until her retirement. Services will be held at Fitzgerald & Sons on Carlisle and Comanche: a viewing on Thursday, January 8th from 3-7 pm and Memorial at 9 am Friday. Interment at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 pm. Flowers may be sent to Fitzgerald & Sons. She will be missed dearly.

SCHEIDT -- Theresa D. (Terry) Scheidt (75) was a resident of Albuquerque from 1981 - 1999 and unexpectedly passed away in her sleep on January 2, 2004. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Walter F. Scheidt, whom she devotedly cared for until his passing on March 24, 2002. Terry was born in Rochester, NY on August 16, 1928 and resided there until she and her family moved to Roswell, NM in 1977. In Roswell, she worked at McGaffey Animal Hospital and was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. The family moved to Albuquerque in 1981 where Terry worked at Sunwest Bank until her retirement in 1992, during which time she was a proud recipient of the Sun Best Award. She was also active in eucharistic ministry at the UNM Newman Center. She and Walt moved to Hemet, CA in 1999 for the remainder of their lives on earth, and are now together again with our Lord Jesus Christ. Terry made many good friends in Hemet and was recently elected President of the Neighborhood Social Committee. Terry will be missed greatly by her daughter, Marge Payne and husband, Frank of Rochester, NY; son, Skip and wife, Barb of Stevenson's Ranch, CA; daughter, Jackie Portman of Vista, CA; daughter, Betsy Banks and husband, Michael of Glenwood Springs, CO, son, Jon and wife, Lois of Southlake, TX; and daughter, Amy Sanchez and husband, Duncan of Albuquerque; as well as her ten grandchildren; extended family members and numerous friends. A Memorial Service will be held later this week in San Jacinto, CA with Miller-Jones Mortuary handling arrangements.

ANGELUS -- Kean Constantine Angelus, 82 and a 29-year resident of the Albuquerque area, died Jan. 1, 2004. The son of William Nicholas Angelus and Flossie Gladys Kean, he was born September 3, 1921 in Alma, Mich. Kean was fascinated by antiques, and after "retiring" opened his own antique shop called Pennysworth. Due to his declining health, he closed the shop Dec. 31, 2002. Before moving to Albuquerque, Kean owned a German cuisine restaurant in Alexandria, Va., called The Heidelburg and prior to that he owned Sweden Point Marina near Indianhead, MD. He was preceded in death by his three brothers, Burt Anastus, Grant Nicholis and Theos Allen. He is survived by his wife, Eve; two children, Frank Daniel Angelus and wife Anjanet of Oakdale, Conn., Rae Dawn "Donna" Angelus-Hoyt of Albuquerque, and former daughter-in-law Denise Angelus of Jewett City, Conn; his sister, Xanta Marie Bronstetter of Ukiah, Calif., and his brother William Ellis Angelus of Albuquerque; six grandchildren, Lee, Casey, Jillian, Amanda, Michael and Ryan; and his beloved Sheltie, Taffy. Visitation will be today, Jan. 4, 2004, 4-8 p.m., at Vista Verde Mortuary, 4310 Sara Rd. in Rio Rancho. Funeral service will be Monday, Jan. 5, 2004, at 1:30 p.m. in Vista Verde Mortuary Chapel with The Rev. Walter F. Smith III and Chaplain Christine Montoya officiating. Pallbearers will be Frank Daniel Angelus, Lee Flynn-Angelus, Jeffery Kean Angelus, Ellis William Angelus, William Ellis Angelus and Daniel Bert Angelus. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Thomas Angelus and Thomas Mullin. Interment Interment follows in Vista Verde Memorial Park. HORNE -- Helen Alice Horne was born in Gibson County, Indiana on October 29, 1913. She passed away on December 28, 2004 at the Medical Center in Muleshoe, TX. She had been living in the Farwell Convalescent Center in Farwell, TX for the last seven years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lemual and Floy Waters; her infant sister, Birdie Lucille; her daughter, Carolyn Riddle; her son, Tom Beckwith; and stepdaughter, Doris Hazlett. Helen is survived by her brother, Walter Waters; and sister, Martha Moore both of Mt. Vernon, IN; and her sister, Mary Strum of Morganfield, Ky; her son, Jim Beckwith and wife, Geraldine of Winters, TX; son, Steve Breeze and wife, Claudia of Edgewood, NM; stepdaughter, Mary Lou Feeney of Jonesville, MT; and stepdaughter, Jeanine Breeze of Evansville, IN also survive her. She also leaves 13 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. She also leaves many friends and acquaintances in Indiana, NM and Texas. Funeral Services will be held at First Spanish Fruit Ave. Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 2, 2003. Reverend Keith Riddle will conduct the service.

JONES -- Thomas D. Jones was born on December 3, 1930 in Enid, Oklahoma and died on December 23, 2003 in Peoria, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Howard and mother, Lillian E. MacDonald Jones. Tom served in the Korean War as a Marine. He attended UNM where he played basketball and baseball. In 1953 he married Sue Cooper and they had a daughter, Julie of Albuquerque. They divorced in 1953. Tom worked as a sales engineer for 31 years with General Electric. He married Judith Walton in 1989. After they both retired, they began wintering in Phoenix. The lives he touched were many. Tom had many friends through his business and golf and horse racing activities. Special friends include, Bernie Buhr, Bob Davis, Bob D'lamater, Harry Gamblin, Gary Gross, Monte Newson, Ray Polanis, Bob Rodgers, Bob Tiano, Russ Walker and numerous others. Tom will be remembered as a caring, fun loving, quick-witted person. He is survived by his French Poodle, Sunny; wife, Judith; daughter, Julie; brother, Walter Mac Jones and wife, Betty of Lawton, Oklahoma. Service will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at French Mortuary - Westside Chapel.
