Obituary for ST CYR

Virginia W. St. Cyr, born December 27, 1922 in McPherson, Kansas passed into the hands of her Lord Jesus Christ on January 5, 2004 after losing a three-year battle with leukemia. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Voorhies; brother, Howard Wilson; children, Alan, Walter, Christine, and Brian; daughters-in-law, Victoria and Elizabeth; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and niece, Sheila Park. She served in the U.S. army as a nurse during WWII at the rank of 2nd Lieutenant followed by a long medical career at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque and as a RN for Dr. Jack Redman until her retirement. Services will be held at Fitzgerald & Sons on Carlisle and Comanche: a viewing on Thursday, January 8th from 3-7 pm and Memorial at 9 am Friday. Interment at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 pm. Flowers may be sent to Fitzgerald & Sons. She will be missed dearly.
