AFFELDT -- Mary Susan Affeldt, 76, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2003. Born July 12, 1927 to Hungarian immigrants, Paul and Susan Curtas, in Toledo, Ohio, Mary earned a Bachelor's degree and an M.B.A. from the University of Toledo. While studying, she served as Secretary to two Presidents of the University and married law professor, Robert J. Affeldt in 1959. Mary taught business courses for many years at Maumee High School in Maumee, Ohio and then served as Office Manager and paralegal for her husband's civil rights law firm in Sylvania, Ohio. There, they successfully prosecuted several class action discrimination cases on behalf of minorities and women against some of the country's largest companies, including McDonald's, Jeep Corporation, and Owens-Corning Fiberglass. After retiring and moving to Albuquerque with her husband in 1991, Mary became active in the local community, serving as Secretary to the Academy Park Homeowners' Association, a representative on the District 4 Neighborhood Coalition, a member of Albuquerque's Peace and Social Justice Commission, and an active member of the Aquinas Newman Center at UNM. Mary is survived by her husband, Robert; daughter, Elizabeth of Santa Fe; son, John and his wife, Karen Hoy, of Emeryville, California; son Robert, Jr., of Edinburgh, Texas; & sister, Helen Bordner of Toledo, Ohio. A funeral mass will be held Mon., Dec. 29, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at the Aquinas Newman Center, 1815 Las Lomas, NE,with reception for family & friends to follow.

AKEY -- Mary M. Akey, 67, a resident of Albuquerque since 1968 died from complications of Multiple Sclerosis with her family at her bedside on December 27, 2003. She is survived by her husband of 47 years Allen P. Akey; son, Gary A. Akey and wife Susan of Little Elm, Texas; daughter, Connie M. Foshee and husband Tim of Fayetteville, Arkansas; grandsons, Dr. Chris L. Akey and wife Taisa of Elkins, Arkansas; Peter J. Akey of Charlottesville, Virginia; Kenneth B. Biesterveld of Fayetteville, Arkansas; Thomas A. Akey of Hamilton, Ohio and Jeffrey James Byrd of Little Elm, Texas; great-granddaughter, Maria Luisa P. Akey; great-grandson Noah P. Akey both of Elkins, Arkansas; grand-dogs Luc, Mandy, Bryndle, B.J. and grand-cat, Ivy. Mary is the youngest of 13 children of a well established dairy farm family in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. She is survived by 8 brothers and sisters. Cremation has taken place. Interment of cremains will be at a later date in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. ALEXANDER -- Charles D. Alexander Jr., 20, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away December 22, 2003. He was born September 27, 1983, to Charles D. Alexander Sr. and Emma Cook. He attended Albuquerque High School where he completed the 11th grade. He is survived by his mother, Emma J. Cook; father, Charles D. Alexander Sr. and wife, Marie; grandmothers, Mary A. ARMIJO -- Esther Armijo, age 86, beloved and devoted mother, sister, aunt, and Godmother was called to our Father's heavenly home, Tuesday, December 23, 2003. Esther was born in Casa Salazar, NM to the late Daniel and Barbarita Gonzales on December 24, 1916. Esther is survived by her loving daughter, Fedolina A. Aranda and husband Amalio of Algodones, NM; one brother, Cleofas Gonzales also of Algodones; eleven precious nieces and nephews; friends and neighbors. Esther will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those who knew and loved her. Visitations will be held Sunday afternoon from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary; where a rosary will be recited at 5:00 p.m. this evening. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Bernalillo. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery. BECERRA -- Virginia Becerra, 66, a lifetime resident of Albuquerque, NM died December 25, 2003. She is preceded in death by her father, Cresencio Turrietta; brother, Cresencio Turrietta Jr.; and cousin, Eugene Aragon. Mrs. Becerra is survived by her mother, Rosella Turrietta; husband, Ernest Becerra; children, Ernest Becerra and wife Silvia. and Elizabeth Espinoza and husband Jose Luis; and five granddaughters, Rosella Espinoza, Pearl Espinoza, Ashley Becerra, Virginia Becerra and Olivia Espinoza. She will be missed by all that loved her for who she was. We all love you Grandma Virgie. The rosary will be recited Monday evening at the San Jose Catholic Church at 7:00. BERRY -- David Norman Berry, a.k.a. "Lanky Dave" left us on December 23, 2003 at the age of 55. He is survived by his wife Patty Berry, mother Juanita Berry, father Norman Berry, daughters Sara Berry and Megan Phillips, sons, Odin Berry and Damon Phillips. He was a loving husband and father who cared far more than he ever showed. Dave was born on February 14, 1948 in Port Authur, Texas. He served 4 years in the Marine Corp and served in Vietnam in 1967-68. Dave was proud of being an Eagle Scout. He was an active freedom fighter for the motorcycling community. He served as the Sergeant at Arms for the New Mexico Motorcycle Rights Organization and was a very active lobbyist in Santa Fe. He was also the State Deputy Coordinator for American Bikers Aimed Toward Education, a previous Chapter Coordinator for the 1st Mountain Chapter of A.B.A.T.E. and represented both groups in the Coalition of Clubs. Dave hosted and produced a regular TV show on Public Access Channel 27 called "Dave's World" which featured news of interest to the motorcycling community and featured local bands. He was honored to be associated with the recently produced documentary film "In the Shadow of the Blade" which dealt with the effect of the Vietnam War on the entire nation, military and civilian, in an attempt to provide final closure for many people. He owned and operated "TNT, Your Unauthorized Harley Dealer" in Winston/Salem, North Carolina and participated in numerous motorcycle races back East with his drag racing team "Flaming A Race Team" all over the east coast, including Boozie Creek and Daytona among others and held several records. When he moved back to New Mexico, he set up shop as "Route 66, Your Unauthorized Harley Dealer" first in Edgewood, then Moriarty and later in Albuquerque. Dave was an avid fisherman and always looked forward to camping with his family and friends. Dave touched the lives of an amazing number of people and will be sorely missed by all. No one who ever met him will ever forget him. His friends and family would like everyone who knew him to celebrate his life at a Memorial Service this Sunday, December 28, 2003 at the Canon de Carnue Land Grant Hall, 364 Highway 66 East, just west of Tijeras from 12:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Call 281-3493 for further information.

BEWLEY -- Troy D. Bewley, 77, a resident of New Mexico since 1958, died Tuesday morning, December 23, 2003. Troy was born in Foss, Oklahoma on May 12, 1926. Troy is survived by sons Robert Bewley and Tim Bewley; daughter Marilyn Johnson; three grandchildren, Bradley Kistler, Matthew Bewley and Kayla Severin. Troy was preceded in death by daughter Kathy Austin and infant grandson Clay Bewley. Troy served in the U.S. Army from November 1944 to November 1946 in infantry and Medical Corps. He worked as a NC Machinist for Sandia Laboratories, retiring on January 31, 1984 after 25 years of service. He was a member of the machinist union. Troy was also a lifetime member of Trail Riders Horse Club where he served as the arena director. A visitation will be held on Monday, December 29, 2003 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Strong-Thorne Mortuary. EGGER -- Hazel M. Egger, 89, a resident of Farmington, NM for 14 years and a former resident of Albuquerque, NM for 45 years, died Thursday, December 25, 2003. She is survived by son, John Hamilton and wife, Darline of Cortez, CO; daughter, Margaret Lightle and husband, Mark of Farmington, NM; 11 grandchildren and EIGHT great-grandchildren. Hazel was preceded in death by husband, Edwin T. Egger and son, Sgt. Richard Hamilton. She retired from Levi Strauss in 1973. Hazel was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Aztec, NM and a member of the San Juan Regional Medical Center Auxiliary. FICHTNER -- Leonora (Lee) Irene Prestel Fichtner. A Memorial Service will be held for Leonora (Lee) Irene Prestel Fichtner on Monday, December 29, 2003 at Mount Calvary Chapel , 1900 Edith Blvd. at 1:00 p.m. in the afternoon. A reception will follow at the home of Gary Fichtner, 6009 Bear Grass Ct. Lee was born on November 24, 1923 and lived her entire life in Albuquerque. Lee was a graduate of St. Mary's High School. In her lifetime she worked as a beautician, was employed by St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School and proudly served several years as a technician at GTE Lenkurt. In her retirement she enjoyed watching hummingbirds in her garden, collecting items made of brass, and curling up with a good book. Family and friends were especially important to her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Clara Prestel, and siblings, John Prestel, Joann Barrett, and Paul Prestel. She is survived by siblings, Mary Lou Farinelli, and Clara Prestel, and by her children, Judy Martin, Gary Fichtner, Don Fichtner, Carol Klinger and Gail Bryant. She has nine loving and supportive grandchildren, Kathy Williamson, Karen Stefan, Kim Mitchell, Kristyn De Gross, Garrett Fichtner, Carrie and Jeremy Klinger, and Hannah and Jonathan Bryant. She was especially proud to be G.G. to her six great grandchildren, Cassidy and Meredith Williamson, Noah and Liam Mitchell, and Dillan and Rylee De Gross. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and dear friend, Sachiko Carroll. Lee was lovingly cared for by family and friends during the last days of her life including the time of her passing, early Friday morning, August 15, 2003. Cremation has taken place. FRAZIER -- Robert G. (Jerry) Frazier came November 21 1945 and left December 21 2003 to join his mom and dad, Fred and Susie Frazier. Born in Albuquerque, Jerry lived most of his life here. He worked at many different jobs and enjoyed helping his brother in his locksmith business for the last few years. Jerry was a very kind hearted person and never met a stranger. He leaves behind one son, Robbie Frazier; grandsons, James and Benjamin of San Diego; two brothers Fred (Bud) and Marie, Andrew and Norma of Albuquerque; three sisters, Virginia Edwards and Bill, Etta Skinner and Jim, all of Albuquerque, Patricia Dodd and Alan of Portales; many nieces and nephews. HERRERA -- Ms. Rosalie A. (Rose) Herrera, a resident of Albuquerque born in Gallup, New Mexico passed away on December 24, 2003 with her loving family by her side on her last peaceful day. Bless our beautiful Rose. Ms. Herrera is survived by her beloved mother, Jose G. Herrera; a brother, Manuel Herrera; her loving nephew and Godson, Justin Herrera from Albuquerque; two half brothers, Mark and Michael Herrera; loving caregivers, Auntie Martha D. Chavez from Gallup, cousins Patricia L. Chavez from Albuquerque and Debra Lucero of Albuquerque; other relatives, Theresa D. Alonzo and family from Gallup, Donna M. Chavez and family from Albuquerque, Derrick Chavez and family from Gallup, Uncle Anthony Gurule and family from Phoenix, Uncle Joey Herrera and family from Gallup, her Godson, Dominic Everett of Albuquerque and other relatives from Albuquerque, Gallup and California. Ms. Herrera was preceded in death by her father, Manuel Herrera and grandparents, Tony and Rose Gurule and an uncle, John E. Chavez. Ms. Herrera was a graduate of Rio Grande High School. She was employed with Ethicon Johnson and Johnson. Her hobbies included watching her favorite NFL team, Atlanta and also enjoyed the sport of boxing and her many trips to Miami. Ms. Herrera was a member of the Catholic Church. A visitation will be Monday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with a Memorial Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Lewis and Beatrice Trujillo. ISABELLE -- Henry Isabelle of Port Charlotte, Florida died Monday December 22. He was born in Fitchburg, MA and was a WWII Navy veteran. He resided in Albuquerque for many years and retired from Electric Supply Co. before moving to Florida. He is survived by his wife, Melvina Jo Isabelle of Port Charlotte, his daughters; Bernice Isabelle of Albuquerque, Denise Minsky of Salem, MA, and Sheila Palmer of Bryson, TX; three sisters, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Lorraine Isabelle. Funeral services were held at Roberson Funeral Home in Port Charlotte and Interment with military honors followed in Hollywood, Florida.

JENSEN -- Neal Frederick Jensen, 88, passed away in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on November 24, 2003, following a short illness. Dr. Jensen was born October 4, 1915, in Hazen, North Dakota to Nels P. and Sophie Frederickson Jensen, homesteading ranchers of the Red Butte area. He attended the Red Butte grade school and Hazen High School. In 1939 he graduated from North Dakota Agricultural College with a B.S. degree in Agronomy. In 1943 he received the Ph.D. degree from The Graduate School of Cornell University. Dr. Jensen joined the U.S. Navy as an Ensign in October, 1942. He participated in the Iwo Jima and Okinawa invasions in the Intelligence Section of Admiral Richmond Kelly Turner on board the USS Eldorado. He served three and one half years on active duty in the Navy and retired from the Naval Reserve in 1963 with the rank of Lieutenant Commander. On June 22, 1946, in Washington, D.C., he married Mary Willard Webb of Nashville, Tennessee. They moved to Ithaca, New York, where Dr. Jensen was Assistant Professor in the Department of Plant Breeding and Biometry of Cornell University, and raised a family of four children. Dr. Jensen conducted research and taught at Cornell University for 32 years, was named Liberty Hyde Bailey Professor of Plant Breeding, and upon retirement in 1978 was granted Emeritus status. After retirement, the Jensens lived in Arizona until 1984, when they moved to Albuquerque. Dr. Jensen lived a full and productive life. He was known world-wide for his work in plant breeding and wrote numerous articles and a major textbook on the subject. Privately, he devoted time to growing new varieties of peonies. In retirement, Dr. Jensen was working on a number of western-themed stories and his memoirs of World War II and Cornell University. He was also an artist and completed many paintings and three-dimensional works. Recreationally, he kept active with gold panning and coin hunting. He is greatly missed by his family and many friends. Dr. Jensen is survived by three children, Barbara L. Jensen, of Amsterdam, The Netherlands; Lawrence W. Jensen, wife, Rebecca, and granddaughters Elizabeth and Katherine, of Peacham, Vermont; and Thomas F. Jensen, of Archer, Florida. He is also survived by his five brothers, Raymond, Forrest, Orrie and David Jensen of North Dakota and Warren Jensen of Minnesota; and his sister, Grace Benz of New Mexico, as well as their spouses and numerous nieces and nephews. Dr. Jensen was predeceased by Mary, his wife of 57 years; a daughter, Margaret N. Jensen; his brother, John Jensen; and two brothers, Kenneth and Curtis Jensen, who died as infants.

JONES -- Mark Warren Jones, 50, a resident of Albuquerque for 6 months, died Tuesday, December 23, 2003. He is survived by mother, Betty Jones of Roanoke, VA; sister, Carol Davis and husband, David of Clifton Forge, VA. Mark was preceded in death by his father, Charles Jones. Mark was best known for his creative work as a musician, songwriter, and an author of books on spiritual matters. He was devoted to the practice of T'ai Chi Chih, and received fulfillment instructing others. A great lover of the outdoors, he enjoyed hiking and cross country skiing. JONES -- Thomas D. Jones was born on December 3, 1930 in Enid, Oklahoma and died on December 23, 2003 in Peoria, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Howard and mother, Lillian E. MacDonald Jones. Tom served in the Korean War as a Marine. He attended UNM where he played basketball and baseball. In 1953 he married Sue Cooper and they had a daughter, Julie of Albuquerque. They divorced in 1953. Tom worked as a sales engineer for 31 years with General Electric. He married Judith Walton in 1989. After they both retired, they began wintering in Phoenix. The lives he touched were many. Tom had many friends through his business and golf and horse racing activities. Special friends include, Bernie Buhr, Bob Davis, Bob D'lamater, Harry Gamblin, Gary Gross, Monte Newson, Ray Polanis, Bob Rodgers, Bob Tiano, Russ Walker and numerous others. Tom will be remembered as a caring, fun loving, quick-witted person. He is survived by his French Poodle, Sunny; wife, Judith; daughter, Julie; brother, Walter Mac Jones and wife, Betty of Lawton, Oklahoma. Service will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at French Mortuary - Westside Chapel. KIRK -- Carter Webb Kirk died Tuesday, December 23, 2003 at Albuquerque Regional Medical Center. Born January 2, 1916 in Falls City, Nebraska, Mr. Kirk moved to New Mexico in 1947. He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Marjory; daughter, Kristin Hakanson, and husband John of Alamogordo; two grandsons, John Hakanson and wife of Decatur, Texas, and Eric Hakanson of Alamogordo; two great-grandsons, Carter and Seth; a dear niece, Patricia Blake, and a much-loved caring friend, Annie Achay. To them and additional friends and relatives, comrades, compadres and associates, employers and employees, he expresses thanks for making his life at worst tolerable, and at best joyful and exciting. A veteran of World War II and Korea, Mr. Kirk was an Appraiser and Realtor. Mr. Kirk served as Bernalillo County Assessor in 1957-58. Disturbed by the discrepancies in assessment of like properties within the County, Mr. Kirk unilaterally established and published a County assessment rate of 16% of value and originated the advance mailing of notices of proposed assessments. The property owner was urged to report questionable figures and appraisers were assigned to review the properties. The Albuquerque Board of Realtors was supportive and many members thereof volunteered time to help in this effort. Mr. Kirk was also the first to employ a computer (punch card). He was elected to head the NM Association of County Assessors. He helped found the original Albuquerque Chapter of the Society of Residential Appraisers and served as the first president thereof. In later years Mr. Kirk helped in founding the New Mexicans for Improvement of the Judicial System, later renamed Court Update, and served as President for two years. This group sought appointment of Justices in the various courts as opposed to election. The New Mexico Bar Association granted the Outstanding Citizen's Award for this effort in 1976. Mr. Kirk served as a New Mexico Representative to WICHE (Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education) in the late 60's and in the 70's was a member of the New Mexico Amigos. As a resident of Deming from 1961 -1982, while associated with the Deming Ranchettes, a nationally advertised subdivision, Mr. Kirk served as State Representative from the then district of Luna and Hidalgo Counties. Upon retirement in 1983, Mr. Kirk returned to Albuquerque. Since 1985 he has spent part of each year in Lady Lake, Florida. Mr. Kirk was a member of the Albuquerque Country Club. LARGE -- Harvey D. Large passed away on December 22, 2003 in Red River, NM at the age of 74. He was preceded in death by his mother and father; three brothers; and one sister. He is survived by his children, daughter, Jayne Hopper; son, Harvey "David" Large; daughter, Becky Waltz and husband; daughter, Linda Loushine and husband; his longtime caregiver, Willie Hopper; two sisters, Esther Jane Tucker and Beth Jones; brother, Dan Large; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was born in Denton, TX in 1929 and relocated to Albuquerque, New Mexico as a teenager. He was employed for many years at Sandia Corporation. He moved to Red River, NM in 1969 where he and his wife, Marie, managed the Deer Lodge. His greatest joy was fishing and spending time with friends. He will be missed and loved forever by his family and friends. Cremation to take place. Memorial service will be held at a later date. LOVE -- William (Bill) Osborne Love, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on December 25, 2003. Bill was born on January 6, 1910 in Ontario, Canada to Robert and Mary Osborne Love. He came to New Mexico from Puerto Rico in 1978. Bill was a member of the St. Mark's on the Mesa Church in Albuquerque. PAXTON -- Hugh C. Paxton passed away in Albuquerque on December 25, 2003. Born on April 29, 1909 in Los Angeles, California to Charles and Grace Dorn Paxton, Hugh enjoyed a life filled with many diverse experiences. His interests ranged from his work with colleagues in the field of nuclear physics to bird watching excursions with friends, observing wildlife, writing, photography, and treasured reunions with his brothers and sister and their extended families. Growing up in California, Hugh graduated from Inglewood High School in 1924, was awarded an A.B. degree from UCLA in 1930, and in 1937 earned his doctorate at UC Berkeley under Professor E.O. Lawrence. He married his sweetheart, Jean Nellis Thomson, soon after. Hugh's early work in nuclear physics included cyclotron technology at the College of France in Paris and Columbia University. Following were jobs involving wartime support in New York, Oak Ridge and Philadelphia. In 1948 he accepted a position as leader of the critical assemblies group at Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory, where he worked until his retirement in 1976. His responsibilities involved development of peaceful uses of nuclear energy and nuclear reactor safety standards. Hugh is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jean; son Alan and wife Merideth; daughter, Susan and husband Joseph Gomez; granddaughter Jennifer and husband Gustav Verhulsdonck; granddaughter Carrie; brother Donald D. and wife Pat; brother Norman L.; sister Grace and husband Alfred L.(Les) Whear; many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Hugh was preceded in death by his brother Charles N. and by sisters-in-law Anna and Dorothy. A memorial service has been held by the immediate family, and cremation has taken place. ROBERSON -- Cecil T. "Robby" Roberson, aged 90, died in his sleep on December 9, 2003 at the Loving Light Center shelter care home in Rio Rancho, NM. His wife Lucy preceded him in death a mere 100 days earlier. They had been married 64 years. Cecil was born and raised on a farm in northern Kentucky and graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in Civil Engineering. The Robersons moved to Albuquerque in 1951 when he went to work for the U.S. Corps of Engineers. When he retired in the early 1970's they moved to Rio Rancho. They were actively involved in several area churches including Sombra Del Monte Christian Church, Harwood United Methodist Church, and St. Paul's United Church of Christ. He was a member of the Rio Rancho Host Lions Club and was a Mason for many years. Cecil is survived by his daughter, Lynn Stelzer and her husband Milt; granddaughter Lisa May and husband Greg; and one beloved great-granddaughter, Allison May. Private services were held and interment was at Vista Verde Memorial Park in Rio Rancho. STEVENS -- Clarice Irene Stevens, 90, a resident of Olathe, Kansas, and formerly of Albuquerque, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2003. Clarice was born May 24, 1913 the daughter of James Alpheos and Lydia Drawz Pettit in Browerville, Minnesota. She had lived in Albuquerque from 1953 until 1998. Clarice was a member of University Heights United Methodist Church. She was active as the teacher of the Keystone Sunday School class for almost 30 years. Clarice was involved in the church music program and was the church historian. She and her husband also volunteered at The Storehouse. She was a registered nurse and retired from Lovelace Clinic. When she moved to Kansas, Clarice attended the United Methodist Church in DeSoto. Clarice was preceded in death by her husband Elvin Lawrence Stevens in 1999. She is survived by two daughters, Lydia Rodgers and husband Jim of Olathe, KS, and Kathie Goodrich and husband Sam of Simsbury, CT.; three grandchildren, Kim Glasgow, Sami Hobbs, and Brian Rodgers; and nine great-grandchildren. The Service for Clarice will be on Tuesday, December 30, 2003 at 1:30 PM at the University Heights United Methodist Church, 2210 Silver Ave. SE, Albuquerque, with Rev. Craig Mull officiating. THORNE -- George Orr Thorne, 86, a long time resident of Albuquerque, died Thursday, December 25, 2003. George was a play by play Baseball announcer, and owned and operated his own diner. He worked at Sandia National Laboratories in the security department, where he retired. TOPE -- Dwight H. Tope, born August 29, 1918, died peacefully at home on December 25, 2003. He was born in Grand Junction, CO, to Richard and Elizabeth Tope. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carolyn Stagg Tope; son, Rock Tope and wife, Deborah; son, Col. Chris Tope and wife, Dolores; grandchildren, Michael and Susan Tope; sisters-in-law, Josephine Tope, Marjorie Tope and Marcia Cantrell; niece, Patty Clearman and husband, John; nephew, Michael Eddy and wife, Beth; niece, Carol Ramel, his primary caregiver; other dear relatives on his wife's side of the family; and many wonderful friends. He was one of the good guys and everybody loved him. Dwight was educated in Grand Junction and attended George Washington University in Washington, DC before entering the U.S. Army in 1941. He served as an artillery officer until separating from the service in 1945 as a major. Dwight owned his own insurance business, the Dwight Tope State Agency, until his retirement in 1987 and was active in the Scottish Rite Bodies of Santa Fe, Ballut Abyad Temple of the Shrine, and the Rotary Club of Albuquerque (Paul Harris Fellow). The family would like to thank the dedicated caregivers who helped Dwight, particularly Tina, Conner, Danny, Peggy, Susan and Diana. She was born in Levelland, TX on Aug. 27, 1926. She and Dick Windsor, now deceased, moved to Albuquerque in 1953 and built one of the southwest's largest egg produceing farms. She was an Albuquerque resident until 2000 when she moved to Cottonwood, AZ to be closer to her son. A memorial service for the family were held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 27th at First Family Church, 4701 Wyoming N.E. in Albuquerque.
