Mr. John R. Maes, 46, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on December 26, 2003. Mr. Maes is survived by his beloved wife of 22 years, Cynthia (Cindy) Maes; three sons, Jonathan Maes, Jeremy Maes, and James Maes; Father, Juan Maes Jr.; two sisters, Wanda Rodriguez and husband, Oscar, and Yolanda Barela and husband, Greg; one brother, Rudy Maes and wife, Erma; father in law, Manuel Trejo; sister in law, Johnice Trejo; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Maes was a member of the Catholic Church. His hobbies included radio controlled cars and riding his motorcycle. A visitation will be Sunday evening from 4:00pm until 4:30pm in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 OId Coors Rd. SW, with a Rosary to be recited at 4:30pm. A final visitation will be Monday afternoon from 12:30pm until 1:00pm at the Church of the Ascension, 2150 Raymac SW, with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 1:00pm. Father Edmund Savilla, Presider of the Mass. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Vincent Maes, Oscar Rodriguez Jr., Dominick Maes, Rudy Maes Jr., Louie Garcia, and Dan Thomas.
