Butterbaugh -- Cheryl A. Butterbaugh, 57, a resident of New Mexico for 38 years, loving wife, mother, sister and friend, died Wednesday, December 19, 2001. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, James F. Butterbaugh of Tijeras; son, James"Skip" Butterbaugh and wife, Renay and son, Scott A. Butterbaugh, all of Albuquerque; mother, Lorraine Broussard; brother, Patrick J. Broussard and wife, Dorothy ¯Tune¯; nephew, Patrick J. Broussard, Jr. and wife, Amenthe and their children, Alissa and Stuart, all of New Iberia, LA; and mother-in-law, Bernice K. Butterbaugh of Albuquerque. Cheryl was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence ¯Growler¯ Broussard; daughter, Jacqueline K. Butterbaugh; father-in-law, William H. Butterbaugh, Jr.; and brother-in-law, William H. Butterbaugh III. She was a member of John XXIII Catholic Community. Cheryl made quilts for the Linus Foundation, which supplies blankets for critically ill children. Mass will be celebrated Saturday, 11:00 a.m., at John XXIII Catholic Community, 4831 Tramway Ridge Dr. NE, with Rev. Arkad Biczak, Celebrant. Carder -- Charles H. Carder, 83, passed away in Mesa, AZ on December 18, 2001. Charlie was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque until the last few years. His sons, Ray Carder of Phoenix, AZ, Porky (Larry) Carder and wife, Gini of Woodsville, TX; and daughter, DeDe Arwood and husband, John survive him. He is also survived by his second wife, Phyllis Carder of AZ. Charlie is also survived by his grandchildren, Audra and Carder Arwood and fiance, Ginger, JD Ellis and husband, Robb and daughter Ashley, Cheryl Carder, Meshelle Mahan and husband, Chip and children, Keara and Jenna, Leland Bonlarron and son, Cruz; and five step-children and grandchildren. Charlie was a General Contractor for many years in Albuquerque in business with his brother-in-law. They owned Carder and Eden Construction. Later he owned Carder Construction Co. In the early years, he helped build the racetrack on Eubank and enjoyed owning and racing stock cars. He was active for many years in Temple Lodge Six, Scottish Rite, Ballut Abyad Shrine Temple, Airplane & Horse Units, member of the NM Mounted Patrol, and was a charter member of the Four Hills Country Club. His first love was always his Palomino Quarter Horses. He was active in NMPHBA & NMQHA and was for five years the National Palomino President. Cremation has taken place in AZ. A Memorial Service and interment at the Santa Fe National Cemetery will take place after the first of year.

Carli -- Gino Carli, 77, passed away on Monday, December 17, 2001. Beloved by family and friends for his quick wit, kind heart and insatiable curiosity, Gino will be truly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a first-generation American, born to Italian immigrants and raised in New York City. Recognized early on for his exceptional intelligence, teachers handpicked Gino to attend the prestigious Stuyvesant High School, where he graduated with full academic honors. Later, Gino attended the University of Kentucky. With his trademark focus and determination, he graduated in three years with a degree in Electrical Engineering. In 1952, he moved to Albuquerque and began a long and dedicated career with Sandia National Laboratories. As a Department Manager, Gino played an integral role testing equipment and designing information systems. After his retirement in 1990, Gino devoted his time to civic involvement, travel, and his favorite sport, golf. Among his several causes, Gino was active in initiating state legislation for tougher DUI laws and volunteered his time fixing donated computers for use in public schools. His favorite interests included jazz, good food and lively conversation, but his greatest love of all was his family. Gino Carli will always be cherished and remembered by his devoted wife, Patricia; his sons, Louis and Chris; his daughters-in-law, Christine and Tricia; and his grandson, Joseph. Gino was a member of John XXII Catholic Community. Durward -- David W. Durward, 84, a resident of Albuquerque since 1956, died Monday, December 17, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Georgia Durward; daughters, Linda Kolle and husband, Ed and Marjory Collins and husband, Robert, all of Albuquerque; five grandchildren, David F. Kolle and wife, Valerie, Marjory A. Schreiber and husband, Fred; Eddie W. Kolle and wife, Jennifer, Heidi L. Vaught and husband, Daryl and Heather L. Collins; seven great-grandchildren, Shelby, Aubrey, Logan and Tiler Schreiber, Jodie and Jordan Vaught and Hunter Kolle. Mr. Durward was preceded in death by his brother, John. He was a faithful servant of the Lord at Temple Baptist Church, past president of Mended Hearts, St. Andrews Scottish Rite. Mr. Durward was a decorated WWII Army Veteran. George -- Ada George, 91, a resident of New Mexico since 1972 passed away on December 19, 2001. She is survived by her two nephews, Willis George and wife, Jana of Rio Rancho, NM and Richard George and wife, Betty of Corvallis, OR; three great-nieces, Elaina Freese and husband, Jim, Diana George and husband, Will Rindom, and Linda Lett and husband, Timothy; two great-nephews, David and William George, she is also survived by four great-great-grandnephews and nieces. Ada retired from Chicago Bridge & Iron Construction Co. after 32 years. She was a member of Paradise Hills United Methodist Church. Harrison -- Langdon Dewey Harrison, Col., US Air Force Retired, 78, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2001, following a long illness. He is survived by his wife, Michele Harrison of Albuquerque; daughter, Courtney Denton and husband, Terry of Denton, TX and son, Langdon Harrison Jr. of Phoenix, AZ. He also leaves behind a daughter, Murielle Protiere and son, Charles Protiere, both of Paris, France; several relatives; and friends. Mr. Harrison graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of New Mexico and was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He served with the 15th Air Force during WWII as a B-24 Pilot, accomplishing 50 missions and also as a B-57 Pilot for A.E.C. Nuclear Sampling in the South Pacific. Mr. Harrison was honored with numerous medals and decorations for combat in Europe. As a Test Pilot at Holloman Air Force Base, he also received numerous awards for Nuclear Weapons Testing. He was active with the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite of Santa Fe and the Shrine Temple, Ballut Abyad Shrine. Mr. Harrison was Owner and President of Harrison Companies, Real Estate Broker and Gas Producer. Cremation has taken place and Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, December 26, 2001, at 11:00 a.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Holland -- "Sonny" Clyde C. Holland, 60, a resident of Albuquerque for many years, was called to be God's newest Angel on Wednesday, December 18, 2001. He was born October 12, 1941 in Hixson, TN. He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph C. Holland. A devoted son, brother, uncle, he leaves his mother, Lorina L. Holland of Albuquerque; sister, Yvonne Boggs and husband, Brian of Ooltewah, TN; and nieces, Lee Burleson and Dawn S. Burleson of Albuquerque. He also leaves a son, Jeffrey Holland of Albuquerque. He graduated from Highland High School. He served in the US Army and fought for this country in Vietnam. Sonny retired from Sandia National Laboratories. He was a gentle, caring, kindhearted man who was an avid Dale Earnhart and Dallas Cowboys fan. He will be missed by his family and many friends. Graveside services will be held Friday, December 21, 2001, 12:00 noon, at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Kehoe -- Dorothy Sutherland Kehoe, R.N., B.S.N., 84, a resident of Albuquerque for nine years, died Wednesday, December 19, 2001. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, George A. Kehoe of Albuquerque; daughters, Leslee Ann Schmitt of Driggs, Idaho and Johnee Laurene Simrell and husband, Richard of Albuquerque; son, Sean Purvis Kehoe and wife, Jennifer of Barrett, MN; grandsons, Barry Schmitt of Park City, UT, Carl Schmitt of Boulder, CO and Tyler Kehoe of Barrett, MN; and granddaughters, Elizabeth Renee Cabot and husband, Michael of Las Cruces, Katee Simrell, Colleen Davis and husband, Matthew, all of Albuquerque and Alexandra Kehoe of Barrett, MN. She was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada, the daughter of J.T.S. and Maud Purvis. After graduation from Moose Jaw High School, she entered Royal Columbian Hospital Nursing School from which she graduated in 1941. Mrs. Kehoe entered the Royal Canadian Air Force and served as an RN in Gander, Newfoundland where she met and married George A. Kehoe in 1943. She worked at Jeffrey Hale Memorial Hospital in Quebec City and Montreal Neurological Institute and Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal, Quebec. Following the war, she moved to California and worked at Torrance Memorial, Anaheim Memorial, and Whittier Hospitals, and retired as a medical utilization reviewer for the State of California in 1984. Mrs. Kehoe moved with George to Reedsport, OR and finally to Albuquerque in 1993. Rosary will be recited Friday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Deacon Frank See reciting. Matthew -- Georgia Baca Matthew. Born February 22, 1939 went to be with the Lord on December 17, 2001 in San Diego, CA. Georgia was born in Pena Blanca, NM. Graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1957. Georgia worked for the NM-DMV until she moved to San Diego. Georgia retired from Ca.-DMV in San Diego when she discovered she had cancer. She is preceded by her father and mother, Albert and Isabel Baca; and six brothers. She left behind her siblings and husband, William Matthew; daughters, Theresa, husband, Tom Mason, Patty Matthew, and Sandra, husband, James Ellison.; four grandchildren, Cory, Jessica, Garret and Krysa; three sisters, Priscilla Moran, Marcella Tartaglia and Rita Bustamante; two brothers, Ernesto and Rubel Baca; several nephew and nieces who loved her and thought the world of her who all live in Albuquerque. We will all miss her dearly, she had many friends everywhere. She was a person who didn't know a stranger and made friends with everyone right away. Mitchell -- Rose Mitchell was taken home by our Lord on Tuesday morning, December 20, 2001. She was 86 years old. Rose was born in Magdalena, NM., on October 8, 1915 and was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, NM. Rose was preceded in death by her husband John Mitchell and is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Johnny Bencomo; four sons, Mike and wife, Gloria, Raymond and wife, Erma, Richard and wife, Lori, Johnny Roy and wife, Jeanette; a special grandson and his friend, Jerry Mitchell and Frank Garcia; 19 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; numerous other family members and friends who loved and will miss her. Ortiz -- Josephine "Fita" Vigil Ortiz, 90, went home to be with the Lord on December 13, 2001. She was born on August 22, 1911 in NM Territory a descendent of Spanish pioneer colonists. She was a longtime resident of Plaza Vieja"Old Town". She resided and was raised on the historical property now known as the High Noon Restaurant. The original owners of the property were her parents Carlos and Felicita Vigil. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benito Ortiz; her four sons, Paul, Charlie, Able, and Frank Oritz; brothers, Jake and Louie Vigil. She is survived by he son, Joe W. Ortiz, a retired Fire Chief; and Lillian Nuanes, her granddaughter who she raised from childhood. Both cared for her until her death. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Cathy and Ron Carden Hayward CA, Susan Horton Benicia CA, Peter and Lillian Nuanes, Julia and Lance Basham, Lucy Sanchez, Donald Ortiz all from Alb. Westover -- Georgiann Westover, 88, a resident of Rio Rancho for the past 34 years, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2001. Georgiann was born January 26, 1913 the daughter of George and Rhea F. Rice Harbaugh in Wisconsin. She had a wonderful sense of humor, loved to shop, liked to read, and she enjoyed a challenging crossword puzzle. Georgiann was always there to help her daughters, and she will be dearly missed by them both. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard in 2000; and her son, Richard H. in March of 2001. Georgiann is survived by two daughters, Nancy Jo McKenzie and husband, Ron of Springtown, TX and Sherry Hsiao of Rio Rancho; six grandchildren, Rachelle Beer, Robin Shaffer, Rick Sanchez, Jennifer Hsiao, Terri Embry, and William Watson; five great-grandchildren, Samantha, Ryan, Julia, Kristopher and Michael. The Service will be Friday, December 21, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, with The Rev. Walter F. Smith III officiating. Entombment will follow in Vista Verde Memorial Park. Younger -- Arthur H. Younger, 90, passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2001 with his family at his side. He was born in New York City, NY and lived there until 1979 when he moved to the Albuquerque and Rio Rancho areas. He was a retired government civilian supervisor at the Navy/Army base in Bayonne, New Jersey. Mr. Younger was a loving father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Irene. He is survived by his sons, Arthur G. Younger and his wife, Michelle, and Peter A. Younger and his wife, Elizabeth; grandchildren, James, Natalie, Jaclyn, and Amanda; nephew, Richard A. Younger, Sr. and his wife, Clemma and their family; great-nephew, Richard A. Younger and his wife, Julie and their children, Lauren and Richard. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made in Mr. Youngers name to Sandia Hospice, Hospice Memorial Foundation, 4725 Indian School Rd NE, Ste 100, Albuquerque, NM 87110. Mr. Younger will be greatly missed by all who loved him. A Mass will be celebrated at the Vista Verde Memorial Park, 4310 Sara Road, Rio Rancho, NM on Friday, December 21, 2001 at 3:00 p.m., Father Frank Prieto officiating.
