Obituary for Holland

"Sonny" Clyde C. Holland, 60, a resident of Albuquerque for many years, was called to be God's newest Angel on Wednesday, December 18, 2001. He was born October 12, 1941 in Hixson, TN. He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph C. Holland. A devoted son, brother, uncle, he leaves his mother, Lorina L. Holland of Albuquerque; sister, Yvonne Boggs and husband, Brian of Ooltewah, TN; and nieces, Lee Burleson and Dawn S. Burleson of Albuquerque. He also leaves a son, Jeffrey Holland of Albuquerque. He graduated from Highland High School. He served in the US Army and fought for this country in Vietnam. Sonny retired from Sandia National Laboratories. He was a gentle, caring, kindhearted man who was an avid Dale Earnhart and Dallas Cowboys fan. He will be missed by his family and many friends. Graveside services will be held Friday, December 21, 2001, 12:00 noon, at Santa Fe National Cemetery. A reception will be held at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, Friday, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1330 San Pedro NE, Suite 205, 87110 or Veterans of Foreign Wars.
