Alvey -- Jessie Nora Alvey Sr., age 89, a long time resident of Albuquerque, passed away on November 4, 2001 at the VA Hospital. Jessie was born in Hillsboro, TX the third child of four children. He is survived by his daughter, Arlieta Allen of Austin, TX, her husband, Clayton Allen, Jessie Nora Alvey Jr., of Albuquerque, Susan Eileen Burrell of Rio Rancho, her husband, Bob Burrell, Kathleen Alvey Scussel of Albuquerque her husband, Robert John Scussel; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren. Bailey -- Marjorie Louise Bailey, born June 27, 1913 in Ludington, MI passed away November 2, 2001 in Albuquerque. She was the only child of George Swanson and Mary Flanneley. She married Wilbur (Bill) Bailey September 9, 1937, who preceded her in death after 59 years of marriage. They spent many years in the Chicago, IL area and she retired with Bill in Fallbrook, CA. and then after, moved to Albuquerque. She had interests in travel and foods and was known to be a sweet and loving person. She is survived by her son, David Bailey; grandchildren, Alison, Aileen and Ken Bailey, Paula and Reagan Jones; nephew, Robert Avery and his wife, Mary Ann; niece, Judy Avery. Bassett -- Thomas Campbell Bassett, longtime resident of Albuquerque, died November 2, 2001 from complications of diabetes. Tom was a well-known epistemologist and former president of Campbell Farming Corporation who continued to serve the company as a director until his death. Tom helped CFC transition from the farming and ranching business into the development business. He was instrumental in the strategic planning and sale of the Mountain Ranch Development, which is known today as Paako. Tom is survived by his daughter, Jeanne; grandson, Noah; and sister, Stephanie. Friends are invited to join the family for a memorial gathering Saturday, November 10, 2001 at the Cinnamon Morning Bed and Breakfast, 2700 Rio Grande NW from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Bolanos -- Archie Bolanos, age 65, died Sunday November 4, 2001 in his home. He is survived by his wife, Angela Bolanos of Moriarty; son, Nicholas M. Carroll -- Evelyn M. Carroll, 80, a resident of Albuquerque for 17 years, died on November 5, 2001. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, LT. Colonel George B. Carroll (Rt. USAF) of the family home; and one son, George Carroll Jr. and wife Linda of Corrales. Evelyn was active in the Red Cross as a Gray Lady and a member of St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church. Chavez -- Joe M. Chavez, 70, went home to be with the Lord on November 4, 2001. Mr. Chavez was born in New Mexico on February 1, 1931. Joe worked for Star Paving for many years. He is survived by his wife, Jennie Chavez; two children; brothers, Enrique Chavez and wife, Viola and Anselmo Chavez and wife, Josie; sisters, Angelita Lopez, Juanita Roybal from Pecos, NM, and Conrada Leyba and husband, Tony; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Joe will be deeply missed by his loving family. A final viewing and prayer service will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2001 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 am. at Garcia Mortuary with a Graveside Service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Fairview Memorial Park. Costanzo -- Penny J. Costanzo, age 58, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque died November 1, 2001. Penny is survived by her husband, Charles Costanzo of Albuquerque, NM; sons, Christopher Costanzo and wife, Jessica A. of Albuquerque, NM; Steven C. Costanzo of Peralta, NM; granddaughter, Heather A Costanzo of Auburn, WA; also by many friends and family members. Penny was a member of the Presbyterian Church, was employed by American Stainless Equipment, The Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 49 and the National Rifle Association. Penny enjoyed reading, going to hot-rod runs, walks in the park and her cat "Baby". A Memorial Service will be held Friday, November 9, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. in Fern Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary 1100 Coal Ave SE. Fields -- Betty Ree Fields, age 80, passed away early in the morning on November 4, 2001. Born January 4, 1921, in Goshen, Utah, she was the tenth of eleven children born to Hyrum Rasmus and Mette Katrine(Maggie) Hansen. Educated in Goshen elementary schools, she attended high school in Payson, Utah, graduating in 1939. She married Robert C. Fields of Eureka, Utah, on June 10, 1939, they were divorced in 1946. She attended Stevens/Henagar Business College, and worked in Salt Lake City, Utah, as a secretary and bookkeeper for a wool brokerage firm. She later became an analyst for Businees Men's Assurance Company in Salt Lake City and, subsequently, Kansas City, Missouri. At retirement in 1982, she moved to Albuquerque, where she worked as a volunteer for the Albuquerque Convention Bureau at the Albuquerque Sunport until last July. An avid bridge player, she also enjoyed traveling. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Merriam F. and Robert L. Bleyl, of Placitas, NM; four grandchildren, Erik Bleyl of Richmond, Virginia, Steven Bleyl of Osaka, Japan, Heidi Kay of Tucson, Arizona, and Katrine Bleyl of McLean, Virginia; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Dr. James L. Hansen of McAllen, Texas, and Dr. Richard M. Hansen of Fort Collins, Colorado; and 19 nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements have been made by Strong-Thorne Mortuary 1100 Coal Ave SE. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 8, 2001 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 11750 San Victorio, NE, Albuquerque, NM. Kehl -- Leona May Kehl, 92, a resident of Albuquerque, died Sunday, November 4, 2001. She is survived by her son, Richard L. Kehl and wife, Nina; daughter-in-law, Kay Kehl; grandchildren, Richard L. Lewis -- Armandie Lillie Lewis passed on November 3, 2001. She was born July 25, 1948 in Artesia, New Mexico. She graduated from Artesia High school in 1966 and attended Eastern New Mexico University in Roswell, where she earned her LPN degree. She moved to Albuquerque in 1972. In 1977, she earned her degree as a Registered Nurse, from the University of Albuquerque. She worked for the State of New Mexico Motor Vehicle Department, Bernalillo County Medical Center and 17 years for the University of New Mexico Casa Programs, as a Registered Nurse in the substance abuse program. She was also a member of God's House Church and the Delta Sigma Theta sorority. In September of 1999, she accompanied her husband, James, to Washington, DC where he served as Asst. Sec. U.S. Department of Energy until June 2001. She was a member of many boards and a very active volunteer for several health associations in the Washington/Maryland area. She also was very active in health counseling and personnel advisement, known as "Auntie" in the international community in the Washington area where she resided. While in New Mexico, she was very proud to serve on the Labor Relation board for the AFLCIO and was recently appointed by mayor elect Martin Chavez, to serve on his transition team for Labor. While in Artesia she married Terry Seaton, from that union a daughter Teri Renee Seaton, was born. In October 1977, she married James B. Lewis and had one son, LaRon. Also added to this family was another son and daughter, James B. Lewis, Jr. and Shedra LeAnne Jones. She is survived by her devoted husband of 24 years, James B. Lewis of Albuquerque, NM; sons, James B. Lewis, Jr. of Dallas, Tx. and LaRon B. Lewis of Silver Spring, Md; daughters, Teri Seaton of Albuquerque, Shedra L. Jones and husband, Errol of Atlanta, Ga., Crystal Davis of Chicago, Il. in the U.S. Navy; and grandchildren Jevon Lewis, Jasad Lewis, Errol Jones, Loree Jones and Teaya Seaton. She is also survived by her mother, Lillie B. Johnson Childress of Albuquerque, NM; brother, Bill G. Johnson of Santa Barbara, Ca.; sister, Joella Redmon; and aunt, Eldonia M. Daniels of Albuquerque. She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and a host of cousins, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Rev. Billie Johnson of Artesia, NM. A viewing will be held 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Friday, November 9, 2001 at God's House Church located at 2335 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m., November 10, 2001 also at God's House Church with a reception immediately following. Flowers may be sent to the church. Petti -- Thomas Joseph Petti, 43, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Monday, November 5, 2001. Tom was born May 7, 1958 the son of Ralph J. and Lena G. Forgione Petti in Newark, New Jersey. He was employed at the Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Los Lunas in Q.A. Tom was a Marshal at Tierra Del Sol Country Club, a master bowler and golfer, a fan of the New York Yankees and the New York Giants. He loved the outdoors and was kind hearted and dearly loved. Many lives were touched by his courageous battle with cancer. Tom will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Tom is survived by two daughters, Christina Petti and Alyse Petti both of Rahway, NJ; two sisters, Carol Pagliaro and husband, Michael and their children, Christopher, Gina, and Matthew of Brick, NJ, and Eileen Ferraro and husband, Marty of Albuquerque; one brother, Ralph Petti and wife, Marie and their children, Robert and Laura of Basking Ridge, NJ; and his fiancee and loving companion, Nancy Groessl of Albuquerque. Renouard -- John Keith Renouard, 19, born and raised in Albuquerque, died Friday, November 2, 2001 of injuries sustained in a car accident. He is survived by his parents, Kenneth and Carole Renouard of Albuquerque; brother, James Jordan Renouard of Las Cruces; grandmothers, Jessie Renouard of Albuquerque and Irma Harrall-Jones of Mt. Vernon, MO; and numerous cousins and relatives. John Keith was a member of First Christian Church since he was six years old. He was an honor student and a 2000 graduate of Sandia High School. John Keith was on an academic scholarship at New Mexico School of Mining and Technology in Socorro, NM, where he was majoring in computer science. He was involved in jazz and marching bands at Sandia High School and was involved in a jazz band at the School of Mining and Technology. Schoenfeld -- Joseph Bernard Schoenfeld, 83, former president of Shaker Knitting Mills and Town and Country Sportswear, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2001, at Sandia Pavilion Hospice in Albuquerque. Mr. Schoenfeld was born and reared in Shaker Heights, OH, and attended Cleveland College. While in college, he started Shaker Knitting Mills. When a childhood illness would not permit him to serve in World War II, he set up a machine shop to produce top-quality bolts for America's Air Force. He and his wife, Pauline, retired to Albuquerque in 1979. Although he was always a hard worker, Joe Schoenfeld knew that his greatest accomplishment was his beloved family. He is remembered by his children as a gentle and loving man, a good husband and father, who lived his life always looking to the future. He enjoyed life, never complained of hardship, hard work or illness. He slipped gently from this life early on a beautiful autumn morning. Mr. Schoenfeld was a member of Congregation Albert. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Pauline Goldman Schoenfeld; his children, Bette Goodman of Lorain, OH, Michelle Garber of Marina Del Rey, CA, and Jeffrey Schoenfeld of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Fern Goodman Gethin-Jones of Santa Fe and Larry and Michael Goodman of Lorain, OH; son-in-law, Ken Goodman; daughter-in-law, Deborah Schoenfeld; and sister, Marion Rich of Atlanta, GA. Trujillo -- Nieves A. Trujillo, 41, resident of Albuquerque passed away on November 4, 2001. She is survived by her son, Frank Manuel Duran and girlfriend, Felicia Sanchez; her parents, Edmund and Lupe Trujillo Sr.; four sisters, Esther Jane Trujillo, Roseann Trujillo, Candy Nelson and husband, Steve and Jackie Gonzales; three brothers, Edmund Joe Trujillo Jr., Augustine Trujillo and Norman Lee Trujillo and wife, Deborah; one granddaughter, Jamie Duran; Godchildren, Norman Ray Trujillo, Ted Gonzales Jr., and Crystal D. Tsosie -- Victor G. Tsosie, Sr., a resident of New Mexico since 1994, passed away on November 1, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Diane Redhouse-Tsosie; daughter, Sharmaine V. Tsosie; and granddaughter, Bailey George of Blanding, UT; sons, Wyatt K., Wacey C., Wade V., Victor G., Jr.; father and mother, Haskie K. and Betty Tsosie, of Rock Point, AZ. Victor was a member of Good News Baptist Church in Albuquerque. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, November 8, 2001 at Good News Baptist Church, 5812 Signal Ave. NE, at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Stan Blake, officiating.
