Jessie Nora Alvey Sr., age 89, a long time resident of Albuquerque, passed away on November 4, 2001 at the VA Hospital. Jessie was born in Hillsboro, TX the third child of four children. He is survived by his daughter, Arlieta Allen of Austin, TX, her husband, Clayton Allen, Jessie Nora Alvey Jr., of Albuquerque, Susan Eileen Burrell of Rio Rancho, her husband, Bob Burrell, Kathleen Alvey Scussel of Albuquerque her husband, Robert John Scussel; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren. A brief graveside ceremony will be held at Santa Fe National Cemetery in honor of his military service Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions to a VA Respite Unit of your choice can be made in memory of Jessie Nora Alvey Sr. Arrangements by Sunrise Society of N.M., 4310 Sara Rd SE, Rio Rancho, N.M.
