Armijo -- Gene Armijo, 45, went to be with the Lord on January 26, 2001. Gene a beloved husband and father passed away peacefully in his home. He is survived by his loving wife, Lillian; and four children, Michael, Carols, Aprille and Anthony. He will forever be missed by his closest family; father and mother-in-law, Henry and Perla Luna, Rosa and Alfred Archibeque and their children, Desiree and Damien, Patricia and Chris Abeyta and their children, Felicia, Christopher and Veronica; Parents, Joe and Mary Armijo, Sara and Stevie, his brothers and sisters, Lisa along with many other friends and family. A Rosary will be held tonight at 7:00 p.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 9502 4th Street NW. A Mass will be said for the cremains, Wednesday 10:00 a.m. at the same location. The family's eternal gratitude goes out to his best friends Mike Mahoney for all that he has done.

Balzerani -- Vera Balzerani passed away on January 23, 2001. Vera was born on May 31, 1911 in Frosinone, Italy to Antonio and Rosa Balzerani, one of seven children. She became a sister of the Sacre Cuore de Ges£ in Rome. During World War II, she helped Jews escape German persecution. In 1960, she immigrated to the United States. She settled in Erie, PA where she taught school. After retiring, she moved to New York where she was a crossing guard in Endicott. In 1987, she moved to Albuquerque. She liked to travel and was very active in the community. Her love of life and people was infectious and she touched all those that met her. Her life was devoted to helping others. She spent her last years at Manzano del Sol Good Samaritan Village Nursing Home. She made many friends and enjoyed reading the bible to the residents. She will be remembered for her friendliness, her love of children and her never ending smile. She is survived by a brother and sister in Italy, Vetulio and Stella. We would like to thank Chad and the staff at Manzano del Sol for taking special care of this wonderful woman. Also a special thank you to the staff at Joy Junction and Healthcare for the Homeless for the years they cared for Vera. Vera will be returning to her native Italy to be buried with her family. Arrangements are being made by Aspen Funeral Alternatives. Vera will always hold a special place in our hearts. Sylvia and Veronica.

Carrillo -- Refugio A. Carrillo, 94, a resident of Los Lunas, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2001. He was a member of the San Clemente Catholic Church. He retired from AT & SF Railroad as a trackman after many years of outstanding service. He was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters, and two sons, Tony and Johnny Carrillo. He is survived by his beloved wife, Abrana of 66 years; two daughters, Ramona Chavez and her husband, Tony of Los Lunas, Reyna Montano and her husband, Leonard of Albuquerque; his grandchildren, Johnny Talamante and his wife, Eleanore of Los Lunas, Michael Talamante and his wife, Lorraine of Rio Rancho, one very special grandson, Chris Talamante of Los Lunas, Julie A. Barela and her husband, James of Los Lunas, Kimberly Griego and her husband, Martin of Los Lunas; Isidro Romero and his wife, Pat of Albuquerque, Johnnie Romero and his wife, Marlene, Patricia Gibson and her husband, Tracy, Suzanne Romero, Denise Valerio and her husband, Joe, Christian Montano, all of Albuquerque, Rosalie Hawn and her husband, David of MI, Antonio Romero of AZ, Anthony Carrillo and his wife, Kathy, and Robert Carrillo of CA; he is also survived by his numerous loving great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren. A Viewing will be held on Wednesday, 7:00 p.m. at the San Clemente Catholic Church followed by a Rosary at 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, 10:00 a.m. at San Clemente Church. Carroll -- John W. ¯Jake¯ Carroll, 80, a resident of Albuquerque for 42 years, died on Sunday, January 28, 2001. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Katherine B. Carroll; daughters, Margie K. Carroll of Canton, GA and Janey Carroll of Albuquerque; sisters, Betty Murdock and husband, Ed of Houston, TX and Charlotte Smithmier and husband, Claude of Canton, GA; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and golfing buddies. Jake was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Verlin Carroll, brother, James E. Carroll and daughter, Barbara Ann Carroll. He attended Emory University and graduated from University of Houston. Jake worked with the U.S. Corp. of engineers during WWII and then went to work with Shell Oil Company for 12 years. He then worked at Sandia National Lab until retiring in 1983. Services will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2001, 3:00 p.m. at Sombre del Monte Christian Church, 2528 Utah N.E. with Rev. Chavez -- Mrs. Celestina (Sally) Chavez, born January 14, 1925 in San Pedro, NM, passed away after a lengthly illness on January 27, 2001. Mrs. Chavez was a member of the San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church for many years. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Merejildo and Abelina Gonzales, her husband, Justo Chavez, daughter, Virginia Chavez Vialpondo, brothers, Uvaldo Gonzales, Claudio Gonzales, Gilberto Gonzales and Moises Gonzales, and sister, Elsie Castillo Cortez. Mrs. Chavez is survived by her sons, Larry Chavez, Richard Chavez, Waldo Chavez and wife, Stella; daughters, Mary (Tonilla) Lucero and husband, Arthur, and Jeanette Sanchez and husband, Hector; sister, Dora Rodriguez of Whittier, CA; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mrs. Chavez will be held on Wednesday at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Concilio de San Pedro Cemetery in San Pedro, NM. Daves -- Ruth P. Daves, 95, died on January 28, 2001 in Albuquerque, NM. She was born in Memphis, TX and was a resident of Amarillo, TX for 25 years before moving to Albuquerque to be near her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack M. Daves in 1997 and by two grandsons, Ricky and Rodney Streu. She is survived by her children, Wanda Streu of Albuquerque and Orville McVee and wife, Ellen of Aztec, NM; a sister, Ruby Spanilli of Clayton, NM; four grandchildren, Steve Shaw, Karen S. Clements, Luanne G. Rhodes and Randy Streu; six great grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren. Davis -- Clemestine Davis, age 77, passed away Saturday evening, January 26, 2001. She was born on June 27, 1923 in Sikeston, Missouri. She was joined in marriage to John A. Davis on December 23, 1939. To this union was born three daughters and two sons, Shirley (Spencer) DePauw, Washington, Illinois, Edna Holbrook and friend, Ron Gutierrez, Albuquerque, Audrey (David) Moore, Albuquerque, John (Lisa) Davis Jr., Clarksville, Tenn and Charles (Carmaine) Davis, Bossier City, Louisiana; one brother, Wellford Burklow, Valparaiso, Indiana; one sister-in-law, Edna Hobbs, Elizabethtown, Illinois; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Davis of 48 years. She resided in Southern Illinois from the time her marriage until 1960 when the family moved to Grants, NM. She and her husband moved to Albuquerque in 1971 to be near her children and grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her lifes pleasure was helping other people. Her generosity and willingness to help friends and neighbors was felt by all that knew her. She never met a stranger. Visitation will take place Monday, January 29, 2001 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal SE. DeBlassie -- Nick DeBlassie went to be with his beloved Lord on January 28, 2001 at the age of 86. He was born and raised in Old Town and attended San Felipe School. A lifetime resident of Albuquerque he was born on December 14, 1914 to Felix DeBlassie and Barbarita Moya. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lila Herrera DeBlassie, brothers, Paul DeBlassie Sr. and Felix DeBlassie, sisters, Libby Lopez, Maryann Candelaria, Nellie Chavez and Cecilia Herrera. He is survived by his daughter, Patricia Castellano and husband Leroy; grandson, Joe Castellano and wife, Anna; granddaughter, Michelle Castellano; grandson, Randy Castellano and wife,,Sonia; great-granddaughters, Lauren Castellano and Lidia Castellano. Brothers, Tom DeBlassie and wife, Tomasita who faithfully visited him throughout his long illness, Earl DeBlassie and wife Mila, many nieces and nephews. Gabbett -- Michael F. Gabbett, 81, a resident of Albuquerque for 41 years, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2001. He was a beloved husband, father,"Opa" and friend. Gabbett was born on August 5, 1919, in Philadelphia. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1940, beginning a 20-year career. He was a survivor of the attack on Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941. In 1943, he answered President Roosevelt's call for volunteers for"a dangerous and hazardous mission" and became a member of Merrill's Marauders, the 5307th Composite Unit (Provisional.) This elite unit fought under unspeakable conditions in the Burmese jungle. Gabbett designed the unit's patch, worn today by the 75th Infantry (Rangers.) From 1949 to 1960, he was an investigator for the Criminal Investigation Division in Germany, an accomplishment of which he was very proud. He retired from the Army as a Master Sergeant in 1960 at Sanda Base. In 1987, he wrote and self-published a book,"The Bastards of Burma." As he wrote on the back cover of his book,"The Marauders proved time and again that the human spirit could prevail when called upon." Gabbett's own spirit and tenacity allowed him to prevail against a host of physical ailments right up to the end of his life. Days before his passing at the Veterans Administration US Hospital, Gabbett rapid-fired three jokes in a row at his doctors, prompting one of them to remark,"Everyone walks out of this room laughing." Way to go, Dad. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Elfriede; son, Thomas Gabbett; daughter, Patricia Gabbett Snow and husband, Brian, and children, Michael, Megan and Kasey; daughter, Maureen Gabbett of Cape May, N.J., and children, Lisa and Bill; and many friends and caring neighbors. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael H. Gabbett, in 1971. His greatest joy in recent years was spending time with his namesake 3-year-old grandson, Michael. Gabbett was a member of the Edelweiss am Rio Grande German American Club, the American Legion, the Roadrunner Basha CBI, and the Merrill's Marauders Association. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 31, 2001 at the Sandia Funeral Care Chapel 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE.

Growney -- Nancy Browder Growney passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2001. Nancy was born in Amarillo, TX on December 22, 1929 and graduated from St. Mary's Academy in 1948. After graduating in 1952 with a journalism degree from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX, Nancy went to work for the Amarillo Globe News as a feature writer and covered other general assignments. She then worked for the Albuquerque Journal covering the Federal Beat. Nancy is survived by her husband of 40 years, Thomas F. Growney; her two sons, Thomas D. Growney and wife, Leigh and Daniel C. Growney and her two grandchildren, Ryan and Caroline Growney. Nancy is also survived by her her brother, David C. Browder and wife, Pearl, of Memphis, TX. A Rosary will be held Tuesday, January 30, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Hertford -- Matilda Hertford, a resident of Albuquerque for nearly 40 years, died Friday, January 26, 2001. She was preceded in death by her first husband, C.J. Crowley and her second husband, Kenner Hertford. Matilda is survived by son, Neal and his wife, Daisy, of Arlington, VA, son, Michael and his wife, Lia, of Houston, TX; daughter, Patricia, of Miami, FL; and son, Paul, of Port Arthur, TX; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank her many friends and neighbors who helped her in the last years of her life. And thanks to the kind and loving people of Harmony House and the Anna Kaseman Hospice unit who showed such love and respect during her final days. Lenore -- Lucy S. Lenore, 81, a resident of Belen Care & Rehabilitation, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2001. She owned her own business many years ago called Lucy's Kandy Kitchen and was a retired kitchen designer. She was the youngest of seven children, all of whom have preceded her in death. Lucy was also preceded in death by her loved and devoted husband, Paul in January 15, 2001, her daughter, Paula Lenore Hall in 2000, her son, Gerald Lee Lenore in 1991, and her granddaughter, Shelby Lynn Hall in 1997. She is survived by her lovely daughter-in-law, Merrybeth Lenore of Walnut Creek, CA; son-in-law, Wallace A. Hall of Belen; five wonderful grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. With the highest regard to the Lucy's wishes, cremation has taken place. Lithgow -- Daryl Lyn Lithgow, 34, of Albuquerque and formerly of Santa Fe died on January 25, 2001. Daryl was born in Santa Fe to Donald and Gloria Lithgow on December 23, 1966. He attended E.J. Martinez grammar school and went on to Capshaw middle school and graduated from Santa Fe High School in 1984. After high school, he joined the Navy and served on the USS New Jersey and was discharged in 1989. He was currently employed as a Bernalillo County Fireman and EMT. He is survived by his wife of two years, Jennifer Lithgow; two step-children; his parents, Donald and Gloria Lithgow of Santa Fe; brothers, Steve Lithgow and wife, Heidi of Las Cruces, Dennis Lithgow of Dallas, TX; sister Doni Marie Lithgow of Las Vegas, NV; grandparents, Tony and Letha Trujillo; uncle, Clarence"Porky" Lithgow and wife, Loretta of Santa Fe; aunts, Bonnie Birch and husband, Vic of Albuquerque, and Hilda Ripley of Las Vegas, NV; cousins, Loreen, Dawn, Vince and wife, Andrea, Mark, Ana Marie, John, Payson and Craig and many other relatives and numerous friends. Lucero -- Rolando "Lonnie" Lucero, a resident of Albuquerque, died Thursday, January 25, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lucero; parents, Gilbert and Camerina Lucero of Albuquerque; father-in-law, Keith Ralph Ludwig and mother-in-law, Carolyn Jean Rabine; sisters, Gloria Gene Leslie and husband, Michael of California, Rosemarie Sprick and husband, Gary, and Lorena Hungate and husband, Larry, all of Albuquerque; brothers-in-law, Jim Furiosi, Rodney Ludwig and Bret Ludwig: sisters-in-law, Cheri Ludwig, Tina Carter, and Deborah Hines; nieces and nephews, Mario Herrera, Maria Rake, Raymond Herrera, Danny McConnell, Christopher Leslie, Jennifer Sprick, Theresa Sprick, Angela Hungate, Deborah Sprick, Josh Hungate, Elliot Hungate, and Nathan Hungate; and several great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by sister, Linda Furiosi. Lonnie graduated from Manzano High School in 1982, and served his county in the Air Force. He was an avid outdoorsman and balloonist. Mabray -- Don D. Mabray, M.D., 79, a resident of Albuquerque since 1956, beloved husband, father and grandfather died Saturday, January 27, 2001. He is survived by his daughter, Lynn K. Mabray; sons, Dr. Craig Jay Mabray and wife, Karen and Christopher D. Mabray and fiancé, Emmaley Fitzgerald; two grandsons, Marc and Scott Mabray; and mother, Ida Marie Henry, all of Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Shirley J. Mabray. Don was a graduate of the University of Colorado School of Medicine in 1946 and served his internship at Harris Hospital in Ft. Worth, TX. He attended Aviation Medical Examiners School, Aviation Physiology School, Flight Surgeon¯s School and was then assigned to the 8th Air Force, 27th fighter group. After he was honorably discharged in 1949, he completed a one year residency in surgery in Des Moines, IA. He then practiced medicine in Lamar, CO for 5-1/2 years before moving to Albuquerque in 1956, where he practiced medicine until 1991. After retirement from private practice, he worked as the medical adjudicator for the VA until 1997. Don was former chief of staff of the Presbyterian Hospital Center (1967-68). He was a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Practioners, a member of the AMA, the New Mexico Medical Society, the Greater Bernalillo County Medical Society, the Temple Lodge #6, and the York Rite and Ballut Abyad Temple. Don had a good life in Albuquerque, loved fly fishing, gardening, art, reading, rock hounding, jewelry making, Indian artifacts and rugs. Services will be held Wednesday, 11:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE. Private entombment will take place. Martinez -- Rosa C. Martinez, 83, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Saturday, January 27, 2001. She was preceded in death by a son, Felix, her mother, father, and sister. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Balbino P. Martinez; daughters, Susan Maestas and husband, Phil; Irene Salas and husband, Juan, Mary Woodward and husband, Mike Draper, and Elizabeth Fleming and husband, Jerry; sons, Jose and wife, Theresa, Alfonso, Pete and wife, Frances, Rudy and wife, Ivy, Melecio, and Albert and wife, Stella; 24 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and her dearest friend, Jennie Apodaca. Milligan -- Josefita Jiron Milligan, 96, resident of Albuquerque since 1944, went home to our Lord on January 28, 2001. She was born to David and Ferminita Jiron in Frisco, New Mexico. She was an active member of the St. Bernadette Catholic Church, Altar Rosary Society and belonged to the Eucharistic League. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Milligan, and grandson, Paul Milligan. Josefita is survived by four daughters, Virginia and her husband, Robert Holland, Amelia and her husband, Albert Disch, Carmelita and her husband, Ernest Garcia, Mary Lou and her husband, Joe Polaco; two sons, Clyde and his wife, Louise Milligan, Pat and his wife, Lily Milligan; 23 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. The Rosary will be recited Monday, January 29, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. at the Palm Chapel of the Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal SE. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. at the St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 11401 Indian School NE. Pallbearers will be Michael Milligan, Edward Berndt, Ron Disch, Eric Disch, Victor Garcia, Gabriel Gallegos II and the honorary pallbearers will be John Milligan and Joseph Polaco II. Interment will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery on Wyoming and Paseo Del Norte.

Perea -- Mr. Felix Perea, 51, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on January 27, 2001. Mr. Perea is survived by his son, Richard (Rick) Garcia and wife, Diana; his mother, Aurora Perea; four sisters, Betty Sebben and husband, Larry, Carol Garcia, Dolores Pruitt and husband, Butch and Virginia Serna; one brother, Andrew Perea and wife, Carol; and two grandchildren, Celina and Jeremy Garcia. Sanchez -- Carolyn "Kay" Sanchez, 41, a life long resident of Belen, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2001. She was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Carolyn was a 1978 Belen High School graduate who went on to the University of Albuquerque to pursue a nursing career. She worked for Presbyterian Hospital for seven years. She was also a volunteer worker for the Casa Manzano Counciling, helping kids. Carolyn was an avid bowler for the Hub City Bowling League, bowling for Ray's Fire Extinguisher team for over nineteen years. She is preceded in death by two brothers, Albert in 1946 and Anthony in 1992. Carolyn is survived by her parents, Gregorio "Greg" and Ida Sanchez; six siblings, Mary and her husband, Pete Chavez of Los Lunas, Raymond and his wife, Shirley of Los Trujillos, Yemalda and her husband, Frank of Mesa, Arizona, Debbie and her husband, John Rael of Los Trujillos, Ivy and her husband, Ernest Lee of Belen, and Cindy Sanchez of Jarales. She is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews whom she considered her children, Patty Salazar, Delbert and Greg Chavez, Jeon, Gwen, and Jamie Sanchez, Frankie III, Aaron and Eric Lopez, Patrick, and Joylynn Rael, Judith and Anthony Perea, and Selena Antonio, she is also survived by her many great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and her two very dear and close friends, Carmen Silva and Patsy Garley. A Viewing will be held Wednesday, January 31 at 6:30 p.m. with a Rosary following at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Sanchez -- Ernestina Sanchez, born on December 28, and left this world for the gates of Heaven on January 27, 2001. Born in Jarales in 1912 to Fidelis Castillo Sanchez and Nicolas P. Sanchez and the oldest of eight children. She follows her parents, her two sisters, Eutimia and Estanislada, and her brothers, Julio, Richard, and Guillermo to Jesus in Heaven. She began her teaching career after she graduated from Belen High School teaching a summer class in Silver City, NM. Her father quite his poorly paid job at the State Convention since the law allowed only one government job to a family during the depression and became a farmer. He wanted Ernestina to continue her profession as a teacher. Ernestina gave all her earnings to her family to help them all survive the depression. Her first assignment was in Seboyeta, NM and Grants, NM was next. These were all one room, multi-grade schools. Later, she taught for many years in the Belen Public Schools and became a principal at the Jarales School. During that time, principals taught a classroom and ran the school. Much of her teaching career, she took classes to get her BA and later her Masters Degree in Education. She taught and influenced many students over her thirty-year career. She was known to be a remarkable, excellent, caring teacher and principal. After retiring, she continued to be actively involved with other charities and organizations. She was also an active member with the American Association of University Women (AAUW). She was very active with Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. She was an extraordinary minister and volunteered her services every Sunday until she became disabled. She preformed many other jobs with the church including a principalship for St. Mary's Parochial School in Belen. She was a world traveler visiting such places as Europe, The Holy Lands, Alaska, and Tahiti. She shared her travels and knowledge with her students through photography. She was an artist involved in the Belen Senior Citizen Center and an active member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Society until she died. She was a part of Belen's history, a historian in her own right about the history and people of Belen and surrounding areas. She was generous, kind, and good. She was very loved and will be missed greatly by her two surviving brothers, Edward Sanchez of Albuquerque; Guillermo Sanchez of CA; and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. A Viewing will be held on Tuesday, 5:30 p.m. at Romero Funeral Home, followed by a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church, with Interment in Our Lady of Belen Catholic Cemetery. May God's love, kindness, and protection follow her to the mansion especially prepared for her by Jesus, as promised to each of us in the New Testament. Satchez -- John Satchez, 89, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, was called home to be with the Lord, January 27, 2001. John was born February 7, 1911 in Louisiana. He moved to Albuquerque in 1943. John was a master carpenter and artist. He built many homes in the Albuquerque area. He and Stanley owned their own business, Satchez Brothers Construction Company. John helped with the building of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church on Broadway and Pacific. He also built a bedroom set that was raffled off by the church to help with the building expenses. He also worked for Urban Renewal of Albuquerque before he retired. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Marie Satchez, son, John D. Stachez, Jr., granddaughter, Jennie Marie Lind, brothers, Joseph, Leo, Stanley, and Alverest Satchez, and sister, Lucille Thomas. He is survived by his loving daughters, Frances Salazar, Theresa (Honey) Knevitt and husband, Robert; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Final Viewing will be held this morning at Garcia Mortuary from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated today at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, located on the corner of Broadway and Pacific. Smith -- Randall W. Smith, 86, a resident of Albuquerque for 50 years, died Saturday, January 27, 2001. He is survived by his daughters, Jeanne Churchman and husband, Jim of Albuquerque and Anita Smith of Kansas City, MO; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Wanda Smith. They moved to Los Alamos from Washington, DC in 1948 and later moved to Albuquerque in 1950. He was a member of First Baptist Church for 50 years. He loved his family, trout fishing, Lobo basketball games and old western movies. Randall retired from Sandia National Labs in 1972. Heaven will be proud to have him. Graveside services will be held Friday, 10:30 a.m., at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE, with Rev. Robert Elliott officiating. Tilton -- Dean B. Tilton, 78, a resident of Albuquerque since 1953, died Saturday, January 27, 2001. He is survived by his daughter, Donna Steen and husband, Tom of Albuquerque; step-daughter, Marian Clark of Albuquerque; step-sons, Charles Carmichael and wife, Ellen of Artesia, NM, David Carmichael and wife, Sandi and Daniel Carmichael and wife, Deb, all of Albuquerque; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; four brothers; and five sisters. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine. Mr. Tilton was a member of Hoffmantown Church. He served during WWII with the Army Air Force. Cremation has taken place. Torres -- Antonia Torres, age 86, passed away Monday morning, January 29, 2001 at Anna Kasemen Hospice Center in Albuquerque. She was born, January 12, 1915 in Puerto Rico to the late Pedro and Isolina (Garcia) Santana. She is survived by one daughter, Sarah Torres, Albuquerque; one son, Michael A. Torres, Albuquerque; two sisters, Petra Santana and Flora Santana both of Puerto Rico; two brothers, Abraham Santana, Albuquerque and Pedro Santana, Puerto Rico. Turrietta -- Frances Turrietta, 94, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother was called home to the Lord, January 28, 2001.
