Ruth P. Daves, 95, died on January 28, 2001 in Albuquerque, NM. She was born in Memphis, TX and was a resident of Amarillo, TX for 25 years before moving to Albuquerque to be near her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack M. Daves in 1997 and by two grandsons, Ricky and Rodney Streu. She is survived by her children, Wanda Streu of Albuquerque and Orville McVee and wife, Ellen of Aztec, NM; a sister, Ruby Spanilli of Clayton, NM; four grandchildren, Steve Shaw, Karen S. Clements, Luanne G. Rhodes and Randy Streu; six great grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2001 with Services following at 4:00 p.m. in Chapel of Sandia with Pastor Rick Donaho of New Covenant Church officiating. Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 1, 2001 in Amarillo, TX at Memorial Park Cemetery. Sandia Funeral Care, 7601 Wyoming Blvd NE.
