Apodaca -- Abe Apodaca, 78, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Friday, November 17, 2000. He is survived by his son, Ruben Hernandez of Albuquerque; and sister, Elvira Sedillo of Las Cruces, NM; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Pedro and Eufelia Apodaca; brothers, Jose, Pedro and Federico Apodaca; sisters; Erinea Jaramillo, Refugia Birner and Brigida Armijo. Abe was born March 23, 1922 in Val Verde, NM. He worked for Price's Valley Gold and Borden's Dairies for over 25 years. For those who met him, they liked him. For those who knew him, they loved him. May he rest in peace. Rosary will be held Tuesday, 7:00 p.m. , at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. Chapel. Fleming -- Robert G. Fleming passes away November 11 after losing his battle with cancer. He was 73. Growing up near Keedysville, MD on a small farm without electricity or plumbing did not bring complaints about hard times, but only inspired him to work harder for a better life. In 1950 Bob started working at the fledgling Sandia National Laboratories. He retired 43 years later. It was a career he was very proud of. His brothers and sister, Charles, Jack, Lynn, and Jeanne; his children, Peggy, Dana, Lance, and Liese and their families; as well as his long time sweetheart, Emma Vasquez; and her daughters, Karen and Cheryl, will miss him greatly. He was a good, loving man, respected and deeply loved by all whose life he touched. Private family service have been held. Sunrise Society is serving the family of Mr. Fleming ( 891-8200)

Flores -- Isabel C. Flores, 90, a resident of Jarales passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2000. She was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Mrs. Flores was preceded in death by her parents, Sylvestre and Manuelita Castillo, her husband, Eduardo Flores, a sister, Anita Castillo, and three brothers, Ignacio, Filimon, and Ramon Castillo. She is survived by her son, Henry Lopez and wife, Chris of Barstow, CA; her sisters, Eloisa Chavez and Bonnie Castillo; her brothers, Jose Castillo, Louis Castillo, Thomas Castillo and Sylvestre Castillo; her grandchildren, Linda, Daniel, Elaine, Eddie, and Armando Lopez; and six great-grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Flores will begin at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, November 19, 2000 with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 20, 2000 at Our Lady of Belen with burial to follow in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gilbert R. Castillo Sr., Gilbert R. Foshee -- John F. Foshee, 38, a resident of Albuquerque for 24 years, died Thursday, November 16, 2000. Frazier -- Gladys L. Frazier, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, NM passed away Monday, November 13, 2000 after an extended illness. She was well respected in the business community. After retirement, she began working at Barbara's Bookstore, and in 1999, she and her daughter bought the business. Her survivors include her husband, Nathan E. (Bo) Frazier; daughter, Khristie Bennett; son, Nathan (Trey) Frazier; five grandsons; one granddaughter; three great-grandsons; her sister-in-law, Marie Allen and her brother, Chuck Oberheim. She will be missed. A graveside service will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, November 24, 2000. Gardner -- Barry L. Gardner, 44, a resident of Rio Rancho since 1990 passed away Thursday, November 16, 2000. Halvorson -- Wanda E. Halvorson passed away November 16, 2000 after an illness. she was born in Lake Creek, TX to the late Clarence and Erna (Thompson) Black. Wanda was a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post #401, and Past State President of the VFW Auxiliary, as well as Past State President of the Military Order of Ladybugs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar in 1981. She is survived by her four children, Deborah Clark and her husband, David, of Belen, Oscar Halvorson and his wife, Beverly, of Colorado Springs, CO, Ronald Halvorson and Terry Halvorson, both of Albuquerque; one sister, Loma Austin and her husband, Arnold, of Albuquerque; five grandchildren, Beth Clark, Jason Clark, Tara Halvorson, Sean Halvorson, and Jessica Halvorson; one great-grandson, Dustin Halvorson; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Hannahs -- Judy Hannahs, beloved wife, mother and friend, 69, a lifelong resident of New Mexico, died Wednesday, November 15, 2000. She is survived by her husband, Fred C. Hannahs; daughters, Reina Kline of Albuquerque, Jeanne Jones and husband, Key of Chicago, IL; and son, Steve Kline of Albuquerque. Judy graduated from Loretto Academy in Santa Fe. She worked many years for Dr. M.V. Berardinelli DDS in Santa Fe. She was a volunteer at St. Vincent's Hospital Auxiliary in Santa Fe, and was an avid animal lover, especially cats. Cremation has taken place and memorial services were held Saturday, 3:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE. Moore -- Hobert"Bert" Moore, 69, a resident of New Mexico since 1969, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2000. Bert was born June 14, 1931 the son of Charlie Benton and Estella Raye Coomer Moore in St. Helens, KY. He came to New Mexico from tours of duty in the Vietnam War. He then worked with Star Petroleum until retiring in 1986. Bert was preceded in death by his wife, Susie in 1992 and his granddaughter, Karen Elizabeth Moore in 1993. He is survived by four children, Elvin B."Al" Moore and wife, Jackie of Chandler, AZ, Hobert"Bud" Moore, Jr. of Chandler, AZ, Marion G."Gordie" Moore and wife, Donna of Prescott, AZ, and Lisa D. Des Jardine and husband, Brian of Yorkville, IL; two brothers, Elvin Moore of Austin, IN, and Steve Moore of Columbus, OH; two sisters, Evilee Ford of Deputy, IN, and Emma Smith of Dayton, OH; 16 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; and his longtime friend, Ward. Palladino -- John A."Papa Pest" Palladino, age 77, became our guardian angel on November 17, 2000. John, a native of Albuquerque, is survived by his faithful wife of 47 years, Rachel; his daughters, Virginia Kozlowski, Amy Palladino, Jean Garcia and her husband, Chris; grandchildren, Jessica Brunacini, Amanda Kozlowski, Christopher and Joshua Garcia; sisters, Armida Palladino and Florence Pavioni; and brother, Fr. Robert Palladino; and many loving friends and extended family. His son, Thomas Palladino in 1984, preceded him in death. John was in the Navy and served in WWII in the South Pacific. He retired from Continental Airlines in 1985. He was a volunteer at St. Joseph's Hospital and very active in Senior Softball. He was a lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. John was a devoted husband, daddy and papa and will live in our hearts forever. Cremation has taken place. A rosary will be recited Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. at French's Mortuary on University. A memorial mass will be celebrated on Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to a charity of your choice in John's name. Spencer -- Richard Bertin Spencer, 61, resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2000. Mr. Spencer is survived by his wife, Phyllis Spencer whom he married on November 18, 1962 in Greensburg, IN; son, Richard B. Spencer of Grand Canyon, AZ; daughter, Madalene ¯Lynn¯ Spencer of Tempe, AZ; parents, R.W. and Lucile Spencer of Scottsdale, AZ; sisters, Elizabeth Walters and husband, Bill of Scottsdale, AZ; Buffy Owens of Chandler, AZ; mother-in-law, Jeannette C. Wonn of Greensburg, IN; sister-in-laws; Doris Dec and husband, Al of Sanford, MI; Betty Chastain and husband, Jack of Franklin, IN; 11 nieces and nephews, 13 great nieces and nephews, and 2 aunts. Prior to moving to Albuquerque, they lived in Phoenix, AZ for 19 years. A memorial service and burial will take place in Scottsdale, AZ on Wednesday. Dick was a 36 year Principle Fellow at Honeywell Defense Avionics Systems Division. Among his avid interests were the city of Chicago, trains, computers, and hiking at the Rocky Mountain National Park. He was a member of Heights Cumberland Church. He graduated from Clayton Public Schools in Clayton, MO. and received his bachelors degree and masters in Electrical Engineering at Purdue University. He was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity. Trujillo -- Eugene Trujillo passed away in Albuquerque, NM on November 17, 2000. Mr. Trujillo was born August 1, 1924 in Albuquerque. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Laura Sanchez Trujillo; his daughters, Helen Trujillo and Terry Lucero, Eloisa Herrera and husband, Frank; son, David Trujillo and wife, Tina; Flora Sanchez and husband, Prospero; sons, Tino Trujillo and wife, Joann, Ernest Gallegos and wife, Liz; sister, Caroline Wuorinen and husband, Reino of Santa Fe, NM; brother, Benny Trujillo and wife, Clory; brother, Tony Trujillo; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; as well as, numerous nieces, nephews and countless friends. Van Cleave -- Vanessa Van Cleave, age 41, passed away peacefully in her sleep Saturday November 11, 2000. She is survived by her mother and best friend, Jo Ann Van Cleave; sisters, Tacy Van Cleave and husband Robert Warder, and Vickie McGinley all of Albuquerque; brother, Kevin Van Cleave and wife Janet of White Rock; nephews, Robert and Eli McGinley of Albuquerque, and Ryan Van Cleave of White Rock; niece, Cameron Van Cleave of White Rock; Aunt, Karen Welli of Rio Rancho; Cousin, Susan Welli of Portland; and many other relatives. Vanessa was preceded in death by her father, Robert Van Cleave. Vanessa will be remembered by her great sense of humor, her love of travel, the beach, and of NASCAR racing. He is survived by his daughters, Vivien Wood of Lakewood, CO and Diane Donner and husband, Thomas of Omaha, NE; and grandchildren, Lindsey Wood of Colorado, Tommy Donner II, Katie Donner and Tyler Donner, all of Omaha, NE. Wiegers -- Maureen Wiegers, a friend to all who knew her, left us November 17, 2000. She was a resident of Albuquerque for the last twenty years. She led a full life, enjoying bridge, travel, football, family and friends. She will be sadly missed by her three children; Rich and John Wiegers, both from Albuquerque, NM and Lisa Wiegers of Colorado Springs, CO; her sisters, Yvonne Foster, Albuquerque, NM, Mary Lou Heyer and husband, Clarence of Sherman Oaks, CA; brother-in-law, Claud Foster, Albuquerque, NM; and aunt, Lee Reeves, also from Albuquerque; nieces, nephews, and friends. Mass will be held Monday, November 20, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. at John the XXIII Catholic Community, 4823 Tramway Ridge Drive, NE with Reverend Arkad Biezak officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 19, 2000 from 4:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. at Sandia Funeral Care, 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Willis -- Robert S. Willis, a former resident of Albuquerque, passed away on November 11, 2000. He was born in Escondido, CA on August 26, 1928, He attended the United States Military Academy, West Point, N.Y., the University of the Americas, Mexico, D.F., and was a graduate of the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, NM. He was a career civilian employee of the United States Air Force, retiring from the Office of Civilian Personnel Operations at Randolph AFB in 1986. He was a keen outdoorsman, whose enthusiasm encompassed not only the mountains and plains, but the discovery and exploration of caves as well. During the 1960's, he was an officer on both the local and national levels of the National Speleological Society. He also maintained a deep interest in family genealogy, with a special interest in that part of his maternal lineage which is documented to the early days of the republic of Texas. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy of San Antonio, TX; daughter, Amy Willis Navarro of Ramona, CA; son and daughter-in-law, Henry (Hank) and Brenda Willis; and grandsons, David and Bobby Willis of New Braunfels, TX; and daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Charles (Chuck) Opalenik of San Antonio, TX. Cremation will be followed by a family memorial service at a later date in New Mexico.
