Halvorson -- Wanda E. Halvorson passed away November 16, 2000 after an illness. she was born in Lake Creek, TX to the late Clarence and Erna (Thompson) Black. Wanda was a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post #401, and Past State President of the VFW Auxiliary, as well as Past State President of the Military Order of Ladybugs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar in 1981. She is survived by her four children, Deborah Clark and her husband, David, of Belen, Oscar Halvorson and his wife, Beverly, of Colorado Springs, CO, Ronald Halvorson and Terry Halvorson, both of Albuquerque; one sister, Loma Austin and her husband, Arnold, of Albuquerque; five grandchildren, Beth Clark, Jason Clark, Tara Halvorson, Sean Halvorson, and Jessica Halvorson; one great-grandson, Dustin Halvorson; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 20, 2000 at Sandia Memory Gardens, 9500 San Pedro NE. Strong-Thorne Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
