JARAMILLO -- Ernesto Jaramillo, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, age 80, went to rest peacefully on Saturday, January 3, 2009. Ernesto was born April 22, 1928 in Juan Tomas, NM. He was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque and worked in concrete construction industry for many years. He enjoyed hunting, singing, playing his guitar in the church choir, making puzzles, and playing cards. Ernesto is preceded in death by his parents, Abenicio and Anna Maria Jaramillo; brother Manuel; two sisters, Eduwigen and Teresita. He is survived by his wife, Emilia of 62 years; children, Elba and husband, Joe, Deluvina and husband, Acasio, Corina and husband, Melcor, Rudy and wife, Sophie, Annie and husband, Elias, Marylou, Gloria and husband, Guadalupe, and David; twenty-five grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren; two brothers, Carlos and wife, Carmelita, Luis and wife, Marcella; sister, Reyes and husband, Anselmo. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends who loved him and will miss him. A Rosary will be recited at San Ignacio Parish Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. Communion Service will be held Thursday, January 8, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. also at San Ignacio Parish, 1300 Walter, NE. SANCHEZ -- Florella R. Sanchez, age 82 a resident of Jarales, NM passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2009 surrounded by her loving family. Florella was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Florella will be united with her beloved husband of 56 years, Filiberto Sanchez. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Manuel Romero and Herman Romero. Florella is survived by her dedicated and caring children, Mary Jane Dotson and husband, Greg, Annabelle Romero and husband, Ben, Lorraine Parker and husband, Richard, Judy Vigil and husband, Alan, Lawrence Sanchez and wife, Juanita and Dolores Jaramillo and husband, Roque; 24 grandchildren, Lee Ann Romero-Thomas and husband, Damien, Terri Lynn DeVries and husband, Tjeerd, Denise Romero, Lauren Marie Gilbert and husband, John Hallock, Martin Chavez and wife, Stephanie, Kyle Rhine, Tanya Garcia and husband, Fred, Keith Rhine and fiancee, Genie Agers, Angelina Rodriquez and husband, Randall, Nathan Parker and wife, Katie, Kristi Rhine, Geneva Jaramillo-August and husband, Kevin, Antonio Sanchez, Monica Madrid and husband, Lee and Andres Sanchez; 13 great-grandchildren, Jasmine, Anthony, Genevive, Isaiah, Timothy, Izabel, Tristan, Dominic, Delisa, Paige, Mia, Ayla and Nalani; brother, Benjamin Romero; and two sisters, Stephie Torres and Annie Gabaldon. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. All Services will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church, on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 beginning with a Viewing at 10:30 a.m. and Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens. MONTOYA -- Albert "Veto" Montoya, 81, born in Dawson, NM, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2008. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Mary Alice Montoya; son, Anthony Montoya and wife, Connie; daughters, Gloria Montoya, Terese Peralta and husband, John, Darlene Montoya and husband, Chris, Valerie Jaramillo and husband, Damian, and Kathy Montoya and Andy Molina; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth Trujillo; brother, Fred Montoya; and many extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Pat Caraveo; parents, Antonio and Teresita Montoya; and sister, Stella Esquibel. Albert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and will be greatly missed by all. Rosary will be recited Monday, January 5, 2009, 7:00 p.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. JARAMILLO -- Maria Crucita Jaramillo (Cruz), age 95, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 1, 2009. Crucita was born in Villanueva, New Mexico to Julian Prada and Margarita Jacoby-Prada. She was a long-time resident of Belen, N.M. and most recently a resident of Albuquerque Rehabilitation Center. Crucita was raised at her family's farm in Villanueva, NM where she attended Catholic school and helped her family during the Great Depression. Crucita was proud of her involvement in the stair development of Carlsbad Caverns for the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1940s. She later served as a Harvey Girl at La Fonda Hotel in Santa Fe, NM. She married Miguel "Mike" Jaramillo on November 10, 1941. After living in Vaughn, NM, the Jaramillo family moved to Belen in 1962, where Crucita was employed by the Belen Consolidated School District as the head cook for the Belen Junior High School. Crucita retired in 1974. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, crocheting, and making ceramics. Crucita was a long-time member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her her husband of 56 years, Miguel "Mike" Jaramillo and daughter, Patsy Baca. Crucita is survived by a daughter, Ermelinda Baca (husband, Anthony); a son, Michael Jaramillo (wife, Kathy); grandchildren, Beverly Baca (Albuquerque), Jaqueline Moya (husband, Ray of Chilili), Lindsay Baca (Los Angeles, CA), Sidney Olivas (husband, Chris of Los Lunas), Elyssa Bland (husband, Jacob of Belen), Margaret Shawver (husband, Jeremy of Los Lunas), Cynthia Chavez (husband, Juan of Corvallis, OR); great-grand children, Matthew Baca (Albuquerque), Patricia Lujan (Albuquerque), Marcos, Lucas, and Amber Moya (Chilili, NM), Haleigh Little and Lucas Bland (Belen), Melina Olivas (Los Lunas), and Gracie and Jericho Shawver (Los Lunas). She is also survived by a great-great-grandchild, Vincent Sanchez (Albuquerque). A visitation will he held at Romero Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, January 5, 2009 at 6:30 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited on at 7:00 p.m. A final visitation will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. with a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 11:00a.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Cemetery. MEDINA -- Eloy Orlando Medina, born December 4, 1979 in Albuquerque, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2008, at the age of 29. He is preceded in death by his brother, Domanic Medina.
