GIBSON -- Michael W. Gibson, born November 20, 1957, lost his battle with cancer on February 1, 2008, in Wichita, KS. Originally from Los Alamos, NM, Mike lived most of his life in the Albuquerque area where he utilized his skills as a Journeyman Plumber. Mike was preceded in death by his grandfather, William C. Moxley; his father, Daniel L. Gibson; and his younger brother, James A. Gibson. He is survived by his grandmother, Wilma I. Moxley; his mother, Kathleen Gibson; three daughters, Tiffany Lynch (Jeremy) of Burlington, WI, Candice Perone (Steve) of Scottsdale, AZ, Faith L. Gibson of Albuquerque; and one son, Michael E. Gibson of Albuquerque. In addition, he is survived by his brother, Daniel L. Gibson (Anne) of Wichita, KS; two sisters, Myra A. Garcia (David A.) and Karen S. White (Darell Allen) of Albuquerque. Mike also has two stepbrothers: Mike and Tom (Tracy) Avina of Carlsbad, CA; and one stepsister, Lisa Lopez (Sergio) of Yuma, AZ. He has four grandchildren, and 12 nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at the Northwest Baptist Church, 402 San Clemente Ave. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87107, at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, February 16, 2008. Interment will follow the Service, at Gate of Heaven Cemetery and Mausoleum, 7500 Paseo Del Norte NE (corner of Paseo Del Norte and Wyoming, in Albuquerque). A reception will follow the interment back at the Northwest Baptist Church.

ROGERS -- Mary Ella (Hoffman) Rogers, 81, of Moriarty, NM passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 in Albuquerque, NM. Mary was born March 29, 1926 in Coyote, NM to James Arthur Hoffman and Sarah Jane (Gravlee) Hoffman. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, brothers, sisters, son (John Rogers) and daughter-in-law, Carol Rogers (wife of Billy Rogers). Mary married William (Bill) L. Rogers Sr. on December 15, 1941 in Albuquerque, NM. Mary is survived by her husband, Bill Rogers of Moriarty, NM; daughter, Georgia Guenther and husband, Louie of Moriarty, NM; sons, William L. Rogers Jr. of Blanchard, OK; Jesse Rogers and wife, Sally of Moriarty, NM; daughter-in-law, Tona Wilson Rogers Moore of Las Cruces, NM; three sisters of California; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, family and friends. A Viewing will be held Friday, Feb 15, 2008 at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary Chapel in Moriarty, NM from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 16, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. at the Moriarty Church of the Nazarene; Pastor Richard Jimenez will be officiating. STRANGE -- James Stevens Strange, an Albuquerque resident for 16 years, died Sunday, February 10, 2008. He was born March 11, 1965 in College Station, TX. Jay was a Registered Nurse in the OR at University of New Mexico Hospital. Jay worked his way through nursing school by bartending at Applebee's. Jay will be missed by all who knew him. He was a good friend and an outstanding nurse. Jay is survived by his mother, Elizabeth M. Tarchala of Porter, IN; siblings, Shaun (Richard) Beecher of Martinsville, IN, Gene (Emily) Strange of Arlington, TX, Peggy (Charles) Thomas of Portage, IN, and Colleen (Jan) Olstad of Albuquerque; six nieces and nephews; aunt, Anita (Eloy) Serna of Albuquerque, uncle, Theodore (Jeanie) Stephens of Palo Alto, CA. He was preceded in death by his father, James Strange, sister, Sherry Strange and step-father, Barney Tarchala. MORRISON -- James Thomas Morrison passed away February 7, 2008 in Albuquerque, NM, two days short of his 96th birthday. He was born in New York City and spent much of his life living in Point Arena, CA, where he will be interred. He is survived by his wife, MaBelle Morrison; stepson David Weymouth and his wife, Susan Weymouth, all of Albuquerque.

BLACKLOCK -- Dorothy Leona Blacklock, born July 10, 1922 in Wood River, Illinois, transferred to heaven on February 10, 2008. She lived 85 years, thanks to the grace of God, the skill of the Lovelace physicians, surgeons, and nursing staff, and her own German stubbornness. She loved life! Dorothy was a devoted wife and mother and "the best grandma ever". She was married for 47 years to Gordon Daniel Blacklock, Sr., founder of Danlin Products, Inc., where she helped manage the business. Together they enjoyed camping, traveling in the US and internationally, square dancing and playing bridge. But, in the past few years, she lived for Tuesday bridge club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon; sister, Margaret Whittler; and brother, John Harsh. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Skogmo and husband David; son, Gordon Daniel (Dan) Blacklock, Jr. and wife Jan; sister, Vi Nixon; sister Naomi Eddinger and husband Keith; grandchildren Lisa Blacklock, MD; Matt Skogmo and wife Nicole; Brian Blacklock and wife Mica; Casey Dunning and husband James; David Blacklock and fiancee Rachel Carr. She has one great grandchild, Josiah Blacklock and two more on the way. Many relatives and dear friends will miss her sweet smile and giggle. In spite of her many physical problems, her mind remained sharp, and God granted her desire to live independently to the end. "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness." 2 Timothy 4:7,8. DAVIS -- Farris E. Davis I, 87, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2008. Farris is survived by his sons, Penn Davis and wife, Linda of Peralta, Robert Jack Davis and wife, Rosie of the South Valley in Albuquerque; daughter-in-law, Marlene Davis of Bosque Farms; grandchildren, Kallene, Allen, Andrea, Penny, Thomas, Marion, Tanja, Dyana, Amanda, and Farris E. II; and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Gladys M. Davis; his son, Farris William Davis; and his grandchildren, Scott C. Davis and Farris E. Davis. Farris served in the USMC during World War II. Upon being honorably discharged from the Marine Corps (with a Purple Heart), Farris resided in Tucumcari and later moved to Albuquerque. Farris was employed with Creamland Dairies, Sandia Base, and Cauwels and Davis, where he retired. Farris enjoyed working on his many projects on his small farm in the South Valley and appreciated the company his family and friends. He will be awaiting the arrival of his youngest son that followed in his passing. Services will be held Monday, February 11, 2008, 12:00 p.m., at Christian Valley Church, 2850 Gun Club Rd. SW, with visitation one hour prior to service. Interment will follow at Terrace Grove Cemetery in Belen. Pallbearers are Penn Davis, Farris E. GONZALES -- Dora A. Gonzales, lifelong resident of New Mexico, was born in Peralta, NM. She passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family, on February 8, 2008. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Jose O. Gonzales. Dora is survived by her daughters, Dora Jean Gonzales, Judy and her husband Jim Reed, JoAnn "Patsy" and her husband Joe Vallejos; her sons, John and his wife Elisabeth Hoye, Jimmy and his wife Linda; grandchildren, Emma, Danielle and James Gonzales, Joseph, Jeremy, JoAnna and Jack Anaya, Jillian and Jason Vargas, John Paul Vallejos, Jamie and Jade Reed; ten great-grandchildren; her two sisters, Cecilia Estvanko and Dorella Martinez; her brother, Alberto Toledo; sister-in-law, Mary and her husband Beltran Griego; as well as her extended community family and her special friend, Jose Aguilar. Our beloved mother, nani, sister, auntie and friend, Dora was a loving person who spent a lifetime caring for others as a surgical and delivery nurse as well as performing volunteer work at her beloved North Valley Senior Center, where she lived for the themed dances. She will be missed and remembered most for her passion for dancing and spending time with her family. Services will be held at St. Therese Catholic Church, 4th and Mildred NW. MICHAEL -- JENNIE MERHEGE Our mother, a sweet angel, left this earth on Ash Wednesday, February 6, 2008. She was born on January 19, 1924, in Santa Fe, NM. As a youngster her family moved to San Juan Pueblo and then to Fairview, NM, where she spent most of her growing up years. She graduated high school from Loretto Academy and worked at various jobs before marrying Arthur Joseph Michael, Sr. of Albuquerque. She bore three children, Arthur Joseph Michael, Jr., Charles James Michael, and Barbara Ann Michael. Arthur and Jennie moved to Santa Fe in 1954. Jennie's last job was as secretary at Alvord Elementary. She loved the staff and students at Alvord Elementary and they loved her. She was known lovingly and respectfully as "Jennie" by staff a students alike. Jennie loved the simple things and the beauty in life. She had a kind heart, a good sense of humor, and much compassion for those in need, gladly giving a helping hand or lending a confidential ear. She lifted the spirits of those who saw her on any particular day with a smile that glowed and warmed people's hearts. She genuinely loved people and encouraged them to pursue their passions and dreams. Many sought and felt comforted by her presence. For many years Jennie lived in the shadow of a neurological disease. She carried on courageously, with dignity, and with kindness, never losing her radiant smile or her sweet and positive nature. Those who knew her during that time will never forget her. Even in the midst of a terrible disease she shared her love, her heart, and her true self with those around her. Jennie loved all of her family and they loved her. She is survived by her children, Arthur Joseph Michael, Jr. and Barbara Ann Michael; her sisters, Jessie Fidel (who was Jennie's guardian angel on earth throughout her life), Mary (James) Million, Helen (Gene) Finch; and her brother, Joseph Merhege; and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and -nephews. Family members who predeceased her include her husband, Arthur Joseph Michael, Sr., with whom she will rest at the Rosario Cemetery; her son, Charles James Michael; her parents, Latify and Fidel Merhege; her sisters, Afife Zaunon and Orelia Jabbour; her brothers, John Merhege, James Merhege, Fidel Merhege, Jr., and Michael Merhege. Jennie's beautiful spirit attracted many other beautiful spirits to serve on her caretaking team throughout her illness. These people loved Jennie as if she were a member of their own immediate family and advocated strongly for her needs. They were loyal, diligent, outstanding in skill, and never faltered in providing her with the best care that anyone could receive. The family will eternally grateful to Eloise Garduno, massage therapist, who provided incredible and comforting massages for eight and one-half years; Naomi Roy, personal care provider, who never said no to any request involving Jennie's care, was readily available to assist the family with all emergencies, and who has an unmatched quiet strength of character that comforted Jennie every day; Nellie Nunez, who luckily became a member of Jennie's team three years ago and who brought with her specialized knowledge in the care of the elderly and terminally ill and a smile and positive attitude that matched Jennie's; Jason Schilening, Clear Training Systems, (personal trainer) and Jeff Nailen, Renaissance Personal Fitness (personal trainer), both of whom constantly sought and learned a variety of techniques to work with Jennie as her condition changed throughout time and both of whom are consummate professionals. Finally, the family thanks the professionals at Odyssey Healthcare and Lee Levin, M.D., all of whom worked together to allow Jennie to remain at home until she died, which was one of her three wishes A Visitation will be held Sunday, February 10, 2008, 2 to 5 p.m. at McGee Memorial Chapel. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday, February 10, 2008, 7 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, February 11, 2008, 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Rosario Cemetery. DAVIS -- Robert "Jack" Davis, 59, a resident of the South Valley in Albuquerque, passed away on February 6, 2008. Jack is survived by his beloved wife, Rosie from Germany; children, Thomas Buecher of Germany, Marion and David Doughty of Colorado, Tanja and Mark Leverette of Tennessee, Dyana and Robert Esselman of Colorado, Amanda and Angel of Albuquerque and Farris II and Zola of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Maurice, Patrick, Melissa and Joe, Melanie and Chris, Katie and CJ, Ashley and Kris, John, Devin, Brett, Alexis, Jade, Joseph, Santana, James, Robert Jack II and Jacklynn; great grandchildren, Joseph, Antonio, Justin, Sebastian and Cole; brother, Penn E. Davis and Linda of Peralta; sister in law, Marlene Davis and family of Bosque Farms; many nieces, nephews and life-long loyal friends. Jack proudly served his country in the United States Army for 20 years, 5 months and 3 days, serving 2 terms in Vietnam, the invasion of Grenada and 15 years in Germany. Jack loved drag-racing, "tinkering" around in his shop, his family and friends. Jack was a life-long member of the Hanau Auto Racing Association in Hanau, Germany. A public viewing will begin at 12:00 noon on Saturday, February 9, 2008, at the Valley Christian Church at 2850 Gun Club Road SW with a Service to be held at two p.m. Pastor Flora Padilla officiating.
