Robert "Jack" Davis, 59, a resident of the South Valley in Albuquerque, passed away on February 6, 2008. Jack is survived by his beloved wife, Rosie from Germany; children, Thomas Buecher of Germany, Marion and David Doughty of Colorado, Tanja and Mark Leverette of Tennessee, Dyana and Robert Esselman of Colorado, Amanda and Angel of Albuquerque and Farris II and Zola of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Maurice, Patrick, Melissa and Joe, Melanie and Chris, Katie and CJ, Ashley and Kris, John, Devin, Brett, Alexis, Jade, Joseph, Santana, James, Robert Jack II and Jacklynn; great grandchildren, Joseph, Antonio, Justin, Sebastian and Cole; brother, Penn E. Davis and Linda of Peralta; sister in law, Marlene Davis and family of Bosque Farms; many nieces, nephews and life-long loyal friends. Jack was preceded in death by his mother Gladys; his father, Farris E. I; a brother, Farris W. Davis; nephews, Scott C. Davis and Farris Elmer Davis. Jack proudly served his country in the United States Army for 20 years, 5 months and 3 days, serving 2 terms in Vietnam, the invasion of Grenada and 15 years in Germany. Jack loved drag-racing, "tinkering" around in his shop, his family and friends. Jack was a life-long member of the Hanau Auto Racing Association in Hanau, Germany. A public viewing will begin at 12:00 noon on Saturday, February 9, 2008, at the Valley Christian Church at 2850 Gun Club Road SW with a Service to be held at two p.m. Pastor Flora Padilla officiating. Pallbearers will be Farris E. Davis I I, David Doughty, Joseph Garcia, Tim Galindo, Angel Hernandez, Larryl Lynch and Robert Esselman. Honorary pallbearers are John Leverette, Robert Jack Davis I I, Santana Hernandez, Antonio Sinio, Joseph Sinio and James Garcia. Arrangements by: Gabaldon Mortuary 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW 243-7861
