Mcalees -- Ruth G. McAlees, 66, a resident of Albuquerque since 1956 died, Thursday, February 25, 1999. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Samuel McAlees, Jr. of Albuquerque; sons, Jay S. McAlees and wife Lisa of Anchorage, AK and Todd McAlees and wife, Ricki of Albuquerque; daughter, Amy Vigil and husband, John of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Mandy, Joseph, Arik, Mike, Whitney, Keenan McAlees, Stacey and Emily Young; and brother, David Gould and wife, Joanna of Latham, NY. She was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist. Services, with Reader, Tom Feldman, will be held, Monday, 2:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery.

Herry -- Cale C. Herry, Major (Ret), USAF, 69, an Albuquerque resident since 1957, died Friday, February 26, 1999. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ann Herry of the family home; daughter, Deborah Lynn Chavez and husband, Tom, of Albuquerque; granddaughters, Cynthia and Carla Chavez, both of Albuquerque; brother, Don F. Herry of Lyndonville, NY; and several nieces and nephews in New York. He served in the USAF as a pilot and completed 100 combat missions in Korea flying F-84 and F-86 aircraft. During the Vietnam conflict, he flew 146 missions in the RB57 aircraft. After 20 years service, Mr. Herry retired from the Air Force at the rank of Major in 1969 at Kirtland AFB. Major Herry earned his masters degree in Public Administration at the University of New Mexico. He worked for the State of New Mexico Water Quality Department in Santa Fe and was later Director of Public Utilities for the State of Alaska in Anchorage. After returning to New Mexico, he enjoyed a retirement of hunting and fishing in the company of many of his fellow military retirees in Central New Mexico. His hobbies included travel, photography and his lifelong love of flying. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 2, 1999 at Santa Fe National Cemetery with Chaplain Colonel Lemuel Boyles, USAF (Ret), officiating. Full military honors will be conducted by the Kirtland AFB Honor Guard. Friends may visit French, Mortuary, 1500 Lomas Blvd NE on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity in Major Herry's memory. Lonz -- Thomas F. Lonz, 77, a resident of Albuquerque for 51 years, passed away Friday evening, February 26, 1999. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Maureen O'Rourke Lonz, of Albuquerque; sons, Steve, Thomas J. and wife, Gina and Gary, all of Albuquerque; daughters, Loretta Lonz of Lafayette, IN and Christine Gibson and husband, Alan of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Michelle, Timothy, and Patrick Lonz, and Craig, Christopher, Cameron and Elizabeth Gibson; several in-laws, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Lawrence Michael. Mr. Lonz was born September 4, 1921, to Clarence A. and Loretto C. Lonz and raised in Kokomo, IN. He was the first person to graduate from Purdue University in full military uniform. He also attended a specialized school of Military Intelligence at the University of Wyoming in Laramie. Mr. Lonz did graduate work at Catholic University and Johns Hopkins University. In World War II, he served as an interpreter for the 97th Infantry Division in Europe and as an instructor during the Pacific Campaign and the American occupation of Japan. As a member of the Catholic Church, he was a past president of the Holy Name Society and had been a member of the Knights of Columbus. He retired from Sandia National Laboratories in 1982 after 28 years of service. Tom and Maureen were planning to celebrate their golden wedding anniversary on April 19. The Rosary will be recited on Monday, 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10550 Lomas Blvd. NE. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, March 2, 1999, 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 4020 Lomas Blvd. NE. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Faber -- Leta Loveless Faber passed away February 20, 1999 in Albuquerque, where she was born February 13, 1924. She was the daughter of Joseph E. and Gertrude E. Loveless. Mrs. Faber was employed by Sandia Labs for over 50 years. She was predeceased by her husband, George W. Faber in 1980. Survivors include her son, Donald E. Faber and wife, Victoria B. Faber of Houston, TX; grandson, Christopher M. Faber, a student at Baylor University; her sisters, Wanda Barnes and husband, Lloyd of Belen, NM and Josephine Walsh and husband, Tom of Grande Junction, CO; her brother, Harold Loveless and wife, Edna of Lubbock, TX; and her sister-in-law, Dorothy Carlson and nephew, Alan Carlson, both of Albuquerque. Leta was buried at the Santa Fe National Cemetery with her beloved husband, George. Sunrise Society of New Mexico is serving the family of Mrs. Faber, (891-8200).

Harness -- Jess Harness, born December 7, 1922, died February 23, 1999. He was preceded in death an infant son; and a grandson, Denny Kear. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Harness of 57 years; sisters, Annabel Rapp and Violet Dean Butler; a brother, L.A. Meyers; daughters, Patricia Gothard and Terry Kear; grandchildren, Steve Kear, Carol Manning, and Tom Gotthard V; and four great-grandchildren. The family will receive visitation at the family home on Thursday, 2-25-99, between the hours of 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Cremation arrangements are being provided by Sunrise Society, 891-8200.

Flores -- Eleanor"Leonor" T. Flores, went"home" to our Lord Jesus Christ, surrounded by her husband and children on February 20, 1999. She was born in Monte Vista, Colorado to Marcelino and Amalia Trujillo. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Louis B. Flores; her five children, Ceci Stott and husband, Pat, Daniel Flores and wife, Alexa, Robert Flores and wife, Linda, Rudy Flores and wife, Lori, Tess Powers and husband, Tom; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Mose Trujillo and wife, Ida of Denver, CO, Joe Trujillo and wife, Riley of Santa Fe, NM, Ted Trujillo and wife, Anna of Alameda, NM; and sisters,"Toni" Martinez of Belen, Marian Teachworth of San Diego, CA, Velma Sorrows and husband, Abie of Little Rock, AR, and Laura Candelaria of Las Cruces, NM. Mrs. Flores was preceded in death by her infant son, Louis Yfrene Flores; grandson, Thomas George Powers; great-granddaughter, Ashley Cecilia Stott; sisters,"Mela" Manuleita Barela, Helen Martinez, Carmen Romero, and Mary Lou Martinez; and brother, Fernando Trujillo. She also expressed her love to her numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Flores worked for GTE Lenkurt for over 12 years where she had many wonderful friends. She belonged to Mercy Missionaries, Ladies of the Altar, Rosary Society, Katherine Hudson's Renew Group of St. Bernadette, World Vision, and the Spanish Choir. She was always involved with children and will be remembered of picking up neighborhood children in her pink Rambler to take them to church. Mrs. Flores adored taking care of her grandchildren. She also expressed her love for her favorite scripture, Psalm 23. Rosary will be recited Tuesday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas NE, with Deacon Al McLane reciting.
