Baca -- Barbara R. Baca, 79, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, was called home to be with the Lord, Monday, February 22, 1999. Ms. Baca was a resident of Albuquerque, she was born on May 15, 1919 in San Antonio, NM; she was a home health nurse volunteer and a member of the Sacred Heart League and the Blue Army. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rumaldo and Gregoria Baca. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Garcia of Albuquerque; her grandson, Patrick Baca; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; brother, Arturo Ramirez and wife, Charlette of Albuquerque; sister, Virgie Thies and husband, Walter of Kingman, AZ. She will be greatly missed by her loving family. Visitations will be today, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., in the chapel of Garcia Mortuary on the corner of 8th St. and Stover, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, 9:00 a.m., at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Barela -- Tomasita G. Barela, 92, passed away February 23, 1999. She was born and raised in San Marcial, NM. Mrs. Barela was employed as a bookkeeper with United Furniture Company on Second Street for almost 30 years; was active as a Democratic Party member; and in church societies such as the Sacred Heart League. Tomasita Barela's character and home was the family nucleus linchpin that inspired strength, stability, loyalty and faith for her progeny. She is survived by her loving children, Mary Mares and husband, Bill, Joseph Barela and wife, Sadie, Albert Barela of San Jose, CA; her grandchildren, Gary and Michael Mares, John and Lawrence Barela, Michelle Boland, Gina Cappello, Joanna Hamman of Albuquerque, and Janelle Howe of Denver, CO; 11 great-grandchildren. She was the beloved wife of Vicente G. Barela; longtime Santa Fe Railroad employee, who in 1991 preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death recently by her cherished younger sister, Carmen Sprunger of Albuquerque. Mrs. Barela's family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff and residents of the Paloma Blanca Health and Rehabilitation Center, where she last resided, and also to Pamela Lieurance, Jill Freitas and the other Vista Care Family Hospice members for the care and compassion that was lovingly provided during her last year of life. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, February 25, 7:30 p.m., at the Salazar & Sons Mortuary. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, located at 4020 Lomas Blvd. NE in Albuquerque. Ciluzzi -- Marie Abbatte Ciluzzi, 96, a resident of Albuquerque for the past 22 years, passed away February 21, 1999. She is survived by son, Joseph Ciluzzi; and brother, Al Abbott (Lt. Col. U.S.A. Retired). She was preceded in death by her husband, Salvatore in 1981. For many years she worked in"Haute Couture" dress shops in New York City. During her long life Marie Abbate Ciluzzi demonstrated the highest qualities of a Good and Faithful Servant of The Lord. Faber -- Leta Loveless Faber passed away February 20, 1999 in Albuquerque, where she was born February 13, 1924. She was the daughter of Joseph E. and Gertrude E. Loveless. Mrs. Faber was employed by Sandia Labs for over 50 years. She was predeceased by her husband, George W. Faber in 1980. Survivors include her son, Donald E. Faber and wife, Victoria B. Faber of Houston, TX; grandson, Christopher M. Faber, a student at Baylor University; her sisters, Wanda Barnes and husband, Lloyd of Belen, NM and Josephine Walsh and husband, Tom of Grande Junction, CO; her brother, Harold Loveless and wife, Edna of Lubbock, TX; and her sister-in-law, Dorothy Carlson and nephew, Alan Carlson, both of Albuquerque. Leta was buried at the Santa Fe National Cemetery with her beloved husband, George. Sunrise Society of New Mexico is serving the family of Mrs. Faber, (891-8200).

Gravitt -- Clyde E. Gravitt, 87, formerly of Albuquerque, died February 16, 1999 in Evansville, IN. He is survived by daughters, Clyda Bohannon and husband, Richard of Edgewood, NM, Paula Low and husband, Jim of Fairfield, CA and Donna Patterson and husband, Ken of Oakhurst, CA; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Burial in Fairfield, CA. Mr. Gravitt was a retired electrician and a member of IBEW Local 611 for 56 years.

Hacker -- Meridith Juanita Hacker passed on after a short illness to eternal life on February 20, 1999 at the age of 72. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Bob Samuel Hacker of Sandia Park; three daughters, Rebecca and husband, Frank Brown of Tucson, Sammie and husband, John Schick of Albuquerque, Deborah and husband, Ed Mulligan of Albuquerque; and one son, Larry and wife, Claudia Hacker of Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her son, Stephen and wife, Toni Hacker. She has ten grandchildren and spouses, Cary Rumley, Dennis Seibert, Susan and Mark Hillmeyer, Doug Schick, Shawn and Deandra Mulligan, Bob and Becky Mulligan, Evan Mulligan, Joshua Hacker, Karen and Cheryl Hacker. She has eight great-grandchildren, James Mulligan, Ryan Mulligan, Justin Mulligan, Mark Mulligan, Shannon Mulligan, Eric Hillmeyer, Cary Shuburg and Marjerle Shuburg. Juanita's driving force in life was her family and religion. She was an inspiration to all who knew her and was loved by many. As a mother she was very proud of the accomplishments of her five children. She guided her children to always keep in mind how important family is in life. Education was important to her and she would often babysit so that her children could go to classes. She was an Ordained Minister, holding the office of Elder in the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Music was a large part of her life. As her children were growing up she loved to play the piano and organ for them. As a gifted organist she gave a ministry of music to many people. As her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grew up they often spent days with Grandma working in her east mountain home orchard, feeding the birds, or just playing games-anything as long as her kids were having fun. She positively influenced many lives during her 30 years as an independent newspaper distributor in the east mountain area. Memorial services will be held 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 25, 1999 at the Juan Tabo branch of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on 4701 Juan Tabo with High Priest Dick Hahn presiding. Family visitation will occur immediately after. The Sunrise Society is serving the family, 891-8200.

Hall and wife, Pam of Pasadena, Maryland; daughters, Margaret L. Powell and husband, Aaron of Albuquerque, Kristine M. Bess and husband, Des of Lake Shore, Utah and Paula J. Hall of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Leah and husband, Karlton, Michael, Karl, Todd, John, Matt, Mark, Anne and Andy; great-grandson, Thaddeus; sisters, Sarah Phippen, Maxine Twitty and husband, Bill and Irene Carling and husband, Grover; and sister-in-law, Joanne Hendry. Harness -- Jess Harness, born December 7, 1922, died February 23, 1999. He was preceded in death an infant son; and a grandson, Denny Kear. Hill -- Curtis (Jay) Hill, 77 (1921-1999), died Monday, February 22, 1999, at his residence in Belen after an extended illness. Mr. Hill was born April 24, 1921 in Paducah, TX. He was a resident of Albuquerque and Belen areas for more than 50 years. He served in the Air Force as a pilot during WWII. Mr. Hill is survived by his wife, Mae (Bolliver); three children, Brenda Strong of Belen, Beverly Strobl and husband, Mac of San Diego, CA, and Gary Hill and wife, Peggy of Sacramento, CA. He is survived by four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two brothers, W.T. Hill and wife, Carra of Lipan, TX, Truman Hill and wife, Helen of Albuquerque; a brother-in-law, Brent Nichols of Lubbock, TX; as well as many nieces and nephews, longtime friends and neighbors. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery with graveside services and honor guard at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 8. Keppers -- Lois Fae Keppers, 81, a resident of Albuquerque since 1953, died Monday, February 22, 1999. She is survived by her husband, Dr. George L. Keppers; children, Kathleen Boles and husband, Jerry, Steven Keppers and wife, Robin, Bruce Keppers, and Barbara Drinkwater and husband, Joe; grandchildren, Marie, Jennifer, Stephanie, Andrea, Susie, Brad and Bryan; and great-granddaughter, Denise. Mrs. Keppers was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and best friend. She has a Bachelors degree and taught English and Physical Education at secondary level. Mrs. Keppers loved to travel and visit her family in California and Colorado. Mrs. Keppers also loved to go to Laughlin, NV. She was an avid bowler. Mrs. Keppers loved life to its fullest. She was a devoted member of Central United Methodist Church. Larson -- Lois Jean Larson, 41, Beloved Daughter and Sister, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, February 16, 1999 in Mesquite, Texas. She was born February 5, 1958 in Albuquerque, NM, graduated from Sandia High School in 1976, and graduated summa cum'laude with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from ENMU in Portales, NM. She is survived by her great-grandmother, Cora Wisner of Livingston, TN; her grandmother, Bertha Bowers of Kingman, AZ; her parents, Don and Elnora Larson of Albuquerque; her foster sister, Nicole Sessions and husband, Radley of Murray, UT; her brothers, David of Tuscon, AZ, Dennis and Douglas of Albuquerque, and Shawn and wife Jennifer of Las Vegas, NM; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. After college she worked as a medical technician. Music was a great joy to her. She was a comfort and a help to many of her friends. Lois grew up in Faith Chapel where a memorial service will be held on Saturday February 27, at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Leonard -- Elizabeth Peach Leonard, 87, a resident of Albuquerque since 1988, died Monday, February 22, 1999. She is survived by her sons, Anthony C. Leonard of New York City, NY; granddaughters, Sarah Elizabeth James and husband, Alexander of Rushden, England, Elizabeth Yeardley and Daniela Reanda Leonard, both of New York City, NY; grandsons, Anthony C. Leonard Jr. and wife, Helen of Maitland, FL, Richard R. Leonard of Boston, MA, Christopher Boschen Leonard of Boulder, CO, and Peter Reanda Leonard of New York City, NY; and a great-grandson, Anthony C. Leonard III of Maitland, FL. Mrs. Leonard was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Anthony Leonard. She was born in Emporia, KS and graduated from the University of Kansas. Mrs. Leonard was a board member of the Riverside Children's Association in New York City for many years. She was a member of the Vestry and served as Junior and Senior Warden of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Wilton, CT. Mrs. Leonard also served on the board of the Candlelight Concerts benefiting the Wilton Library Association. She was President of the Resident's Association and La Vida Llena Retirement Community in Albuquerque for two years. Martinez -- Clorinda Martinez, longtime Elementary School Teacher, Principal, and Second Presbyterian Church member, was called home at the age of 92 on Tuesday, February 23, 1999. Born January 16, 1907 in Le Doux, NM in Mora County, she was the daughter of Eugenio and Matilde Martinez. A graduate of Highlands University, she taught in Edgewood and Moriarty, and also served as a health care worker in Mora County. An avid reader of her Bible, she underwent cataract surgery twice in order to continue her daily devotional reading. She is survived by her only son, Joshua Ben Abraham; brother, Arturo Martinez and wife, Ramona of Mora; sisters, Tillie Arellano and Merlinda Gonzales and her husband, Tomas of Albuquerque. She was preceded by brother, Nicholas Martinez. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, especially niece, Mae Anderson; three granddaughters, Catherine Sandoval-Williams and husband, Scott and Christine D. Sandoval, both of Albuquerque, and Fatima Sandoval of Phoenix. Graveside services will be held on February 25 at 1:00 p.m. in El Carmen, NM, with a burial in the family gravesite, Rev. Anthony Chavez officiating. Pallbearers are Joshua Ben Abraham, Andrew Aragon, Sammy Aragon, Jake Aragon, Roy Martinez, and Max Zamora. Molina -- Nicholas Molina, 77, a resident of Belen, passed away Monday, February 22, 1999. He was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church and was a very active member of the Belen Senior Citizens. He was in the U.S. Army during WWII and during that time he met his future wife, Marcia Lucero of Taos, NM who was also serving in the WACKS during WWII. They married while they were still in the service. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the outdoors. He was a licensed pilot and loved flying whenever he could. He was wonderful family man and loved his children dearly. All of his spare time was spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marcia in 1990; his parents, Nancianseno and Adela Molina; and two brothers, Ruben and Lawrence. He is survived by his children, Nick Jr. of San Francisco, CA, Patricia Molina of Belen, Mary Alice Chavez and husband, Albert of Belen; six grandchildren, Nick Molina and his wife, Leslie, Daniel Trujillo and his wife, Geraldine of Belen, Miguel Trujillo and his wife, Vickie of Peralta, NM, Julie Chavez of Albuquerque, Esequiel Trujillo and his wife, Erica of Belen, and Sarah Mendrano and her husband, Lupe of Belen; six great-grandchildren, Daniel Trujillo III, Ruben Molina, Kassandra Trujillo, Christopher Trujillo, Lupito Mendrano, and Nicolas Trujillo. He is also survived by two brothers, Eloy and his wife, Tommie of Belen, Junior and his wife, Dolores of Albuquerque; one sister, Ninfa Aragon and her husband, Andrew of Albuquerque. He is also survived by his many loving nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren. Montoya -- Deluvina"Della" Saiz Montoya passed away Monday, February 22, 1999 at a local hospital. A lifelong New Mexico resident, she was born to Maximilliano and Adelaida Saiz in Alameda, NM on April 16, 1917. She is survived by her daughter, Fran Phipps and husband, Paul; by her son, Robert Montoya; by the children's father, Aurelio (Monty) Montoya; by her grandchildren, Lisa Vencill and husband, William, and Barry; by her brother, Emiliano Saiz and wife, Theresa; and her sisters, Louise Alvarado and husband, Johnny, Margaret Baca and husband, Amado, Charlotte Ortiz and husband, Placido, Alvita Chavez and Edna Baca. A son, Fidel Montoya; and a sister, Piedad Sandoval preceded her in death. Della retired from Sandia National Labs in 1975 after 23 years of service. After her first retirement, she worked for several years with Bernalillo County. During her retirement, she enjoyed traveling, especially to Las Vegas with her son and daughter. Tapia -- Mary Lou Tapia, beloved mother and sister, fell asleep in the arms of Our Lord, Saturday, February 13, 1999. She was born on April 8, 1947 in Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Jose and Cecilia Montalvo. She is survived by two sons and one daughter, Michael Tapia and his wife, Sharon, Victoria Tapia, and Steve Tapia; five grandchildren, Jessica Tapia, Daniel Lujan, Sierra and Shelby Tapia, and Joseph Tapia, all of Albuquerque. She is also survived by one brother and three sisters, Jose Montalvo and wife, Debbie, Yolanda Montalvo, Maria Cummings and husband, Dave, and Cresille Hernandez and husband, Rosalio; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends. Memorial Rosary will be held at Santuario de San Martin Church, Thursday, February 25, 1999 at 7:00 p.m. Memorial Mass will be held Friday, February 26, 1999 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary. Scatter not to restless winds nor toss my ashes to the sea. Remember now those years gone by when loving gifts I gave to thee. Remember now the happy times the family ties we shared. Don't leave my resting place unmarked as though you never cared. Deny me not one final gift for all who come to see a single lasting proof that says I loved and you loved me. D.J. Trujillo -- Felicitas Torres Trujillo, 94, beloved and devoted mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, was called home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, February 23, 1999. Ms. Trujillo was a resident of Albuquerque; she was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Doroteo Torres; second husband, Henry Trujillo; two sons, Abedon Torrez, Elmer Torres; six grandchildren; seven grandchildren; and one sister, Pablita Sandoval. She is survived by two sons, Eddie Torrez and wife, Nea, Jerry Torres and wife, Anita; six daughters, Mele Chavez and husband, Tony, Lita Ortiz and husband, Richard, Eloida Maestas and husband, Billy (Juan), Maida Torres Stanovik and husband, Bob, Margaret Sager and husband, Genaro, Benigna Gallegos and husband, Fidel; 39 grandchildren; 89 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two daughters-in-law, Isabel Torres, Eloyda Torrez; one brother, Uvaldo Romero and wife, Theresa; and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her loving family. A Rosary was recited Wednesday, 7:00 p.m., at Holy Family Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated this morning, 9:00 a.m., also at the church with the Reverend Jack Clark Robinson, OSF as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Leonard Chavez, Steve Maestas, Luis Gallegos, Shawn Torres Stanovik, Benino Sager and Miguel Maestas. Honorary bearers will be Lynn Nelson, Marisela Sager, Elisa Gallegos, George Torrez, Jerry Torrez Jr., Peter Torrez, and Alisha Valencia. In loving memory of Ms. Trujillo the family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial masses be enrolled or contributions be made to Holy Family Catholic Church. Woodford -- Norman R. Woodford, 97, a resident of Albuquerque since 1938, died Sunday, February 21, 1999. He was born on April 18, 1901 in Centerville, Iowa. He was predeceased by his wife of 70 years, Mildred. He is survived by his son, Dan and wife, Evelyn; and his daughter, Barbara and husband, George Shrader. He is also survived by grandsons, Michael, Patrick and Timothy Woodford, and William and Robert Hanna; and six great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held on Friday, February 26, 10:30 a.m., at St. John's Methodist Church. No flowers, contributions to charity of your choice.
