Bauer -- Donald F. Bauer, 76, a long-time resident of Albuquerque, died Friday, February 26, 1999. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother and was survived by daughters, Donna Bauer of Albuquerque and Kathleen Done and husband, James of West Des Moines, IA; sons, Richard Bauer and John Bauer of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Paul Done and wife, Imelda of San Bernardino, CA, Kerrie Done of San Francisco, CA, Meredith Done, James Done and Adam Done of West Des Moines, IA and Evan Bauer of Albuquerque; great-grandchildren, Andrew Done and Timothy Done of San Bernadino, CA; and sisters, Rita Richter of Omaha, NE and Betty Prien and husband, Ray, of Ft. Stockton, TX. Mr. Bauer was preceded in death by his three wives, Virginia, Lona and Bernice. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Bauer was very proud of his service with the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a chief clerk and retired after 37 years. He was a member of American Legion Post #99, American Legion Post #13, and John XXIII Catholic Church. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, February 28, 1999 at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Father Arkad Bixzak reciting. Carlyle -- John"Bob" Carlyle, 71, a resident of Albuquerque for 39 years, died Friday, February 26, 1999. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Carole Carlyle of Albuquerque; daughters, Susan Carlyle of Los Lunas, NM, Linda Austin and husband, Gary of Flagstaff, AZ, Diane Sarson and husband, Mark of Albuquerque and Donna Carlyle of Dallas, TX; six grandchildren, Michelle, Karen and Steven Garcia, Janelle, Patrick and Michaela Sarson; and a brother, William Carlyle of Florida. Mr. Carlyle formerly resided in Wellington, OH. He was in the Army Air Corps during WWII. Mr. Carlyle was a member of Mesa Lodge #68 AF&AM. He was Past Associate Grand Guardian of NM and Past Associate Bethel Guardian, Bethel #4 of Albuquerque, I.O.J.D. Mr. Carlyle retired after 38 years of service from KAFB. He enjoyed camping, fishing, building dollhouse furniture and photography. Mr. Carlyle was employed by Collision One/Casa Chevrolet. He was a dedicated family man. Harenberg -- Brent Harenberg, 50, a resident of Albuquerque since 1985, died February 25, 1999 after a short illness. He is survived by his wife, Janice; his son, Josh; his sister, Tanya; his brother, Hank and his wife, Rebecca; his step-daughters, Lynette and Renae and her husband, Brian and granddaughter, Kalie; and his nephews, Mark and Scott and his mother-in-law, Jean Cummings. He was former President of Southwest Federal Credit Union, and most recently, headed up the Commercial Loan Division of Capital Mortgage, Inc. Brent will be sadly missed by his family and numerous friends and co-workers. He will be remembered by everyone who knew him, as a very fun-loving person, who thoroughly enjoyed life. A memorial service will be held Monday, March 1, 1999, 2:00 p.m., at All Saints Lutheran Church, 4800 all Saints Rd., NW (near the corner of Coors and Paseo Del Norte) with Pastor Tim Thies officiating. Herry -- Cale C. Herry, Major (Ret), USAF, 69, an Albuquerque resident since 1957, died Friday, February 26, 1999. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ann Herry of the family home; daughter, Deborah Lynn Chavez and husband, Tom, of Albuquerque; granddaughters, Cynthia and Carla Chavez, both of Albuquerque; brother, Don F. Herry of Lyndonville, NY; and several nieces and nephews in New York. He served in the USAF as a pilot and completed 100 combat missions in Korea flying F-84 and F-86 aircraft. During the Vietnam conflict, he flew 146 missions in the RB57 aircraft. After 20 years service, Mr. Herry retired from the Air Force at the rank of Major in 1969 at Kirtland AFB. Major Herry earned his masters degree in Public Administration at the University of New Mexico. He worked for the State of New Mexico Water Quality Department in Santa Fe and was later Director of Public Utilities for the State of Alaska in Anchorage. After returning to New Mexico, he enjoyed a retirement of hunting and fishing in the company of many of his fellow military retirees in Central New Mexico. His hobbies included travel, photography and his lifelong love of flying. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 2, 1999 at Santa Fe National Cemetery with Chaplain Colonel Lemuel Boyles, USAF (Ret), officiating. Full military honors will be conducted by the Kirtland AFB Honor Guard. Johnson -- James Rayburn Johnson"JR," son of George and Dolly Johnson, was born on Sunday, September 5, 1915 and died on Wednesday, February 24, 1999. JR is survived by his wife of 34 years, Flora B. Johnson of Albuquerque. He leaves behind four daughters and one stepdaughter, Nancy Baker and husband, Max of Powell, WY, Cheryl Bell of Midland, TX, Dolly Flowers and husband, Robert of Albuquerque, Linda Coleman of Albuquerque and Evaughn Knudsen and husband, Norman of San Jose, CA; a son, Larry Miller and wife, Donna of Santee, CA; and a stepson, Larry Bennett and wife, Kaye of Albuquerque. JR had 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He had many nieces and nephews. JR was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; and two brothers. JR's family wishes to acknowledge the nurses and staff of Presbyterian Hospice and his"family" at the Village at Alameda for their diligent care and concern. Lonz -- Thomas F. Lonz, 77, a resident of Albuquerque for 51 years, passed away Friday evening, February 26, 1999. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Maureen O'Rourke Lonz, of Albuquerque; sons, Steve, Thomas J. and wife, Gina and Gary, all of Albuquerque; daughters, Loretta Lonz of Lafayette, IN and Christine Gibson and husband, Alan of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Michelle, Timothy, and Patrick Lonz, and Craig, Christopher, Cameron and Elizabeth Gibson; several in-laws, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Lawrence Michael. Mr. Lonz was born September 4, 1921, to Clarence A. and Loretto C. Lonz and raised in Kokomo, IN. He was the first person to graduate from Purdue University in full military uniform. He also attended a specialized school of Military Intelligence at the University of Wyoming in Laramie. Mr. Lonz did graduate work at Catholic University and Johns Hopkins University. In World War II, he served as an interpreter for the 97th Infantry Division in Europe and as an instructor during the Pacific Campaign and the American occupation of Japan. As a member of the Catholic Church, he was a past president of the Holy Name Society and had been a member of the Knights of Columbus. He retired from Sandia National Laboratories in 1982 after 28 years of service. Tom and Maureen were planning to celebrate their golden wedding anniversary on April 19. The Rosary will be recited on Monday, 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10550 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Deacon Sandy Hall reciting. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, March 2, 1999, 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 4020 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Father Michael Cimino, Celebrant. Martinez -- Clorinda Martinez, longtime Elementary School Teacher, Principal, and Second Presbyterian Church member, was called home at the age of 92 on Tuesday, February 23, 1999. Born January 16, 1907 in Le Doux, NM in Mora County, she was the daughter of Eugenio and Matilde Martinez. A graduate of Highlands University, she taught in Edgewood and Moriarty, and also served as a health care worker in Mora County. An avid reader of her Bible, she underwent cataract surgery twice in order to continue her daily devotional reading. She is survived by her only son, Joshua Ben Abraham; brother, Arturo Martinez and wife, Ramona of Mora; sisters, Tillie Arellano and Merlinda Gonzales and her husband, Tomas of Albuquerque. She was preceded by brother, Nicholas Martinez. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, especially niece, Mae Anderson; three granddaughters, Catherine Sandoval-Williams and husband, Scott and Christine D. Sandoval, both of Albuquerque, and Fatima Sandoval of Phoenix. Graveside services will be held on February 25 at 1:00 p.m. in El Carmen, NM, with a burial in the family gravesite, Rev. Anthony Chavez officiating. Pallbearers are Joshua Ben Abraham, Andrew Aragon, Sammy Aragon, Jake Aragon, Roy Martinez, and Max Zamora. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 2, 10:00 a.m., at the Second Presbyterian Church, on the corner of Edith and Lomas, Albuquerque, NM.

Martinez -- Eddie G. Martinez, 85, beloved and devoted father, grandfather and brother, was called home to be with the Lord Sunday, February 28, 1999. Mr. Martinez was born in Madrid, NM and was a resident of Albuquerque; he was a prominent businessman in the Barelas area and the owner and operator of E.B Variety Store for 48 years; a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mr. Martinez was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Martinez. He is survived by his loving children, Michael D. Martinez, Edward B. Martinez and wife, Sally, David F. Martinez and wife, Yolanda, Patrick J. Martinez and wife, Agnes, Christopher Martinez and wife, Joyce, Tim Martinez and wife, Pricilla, his daughter, Victoria Rodgers and husband, Clarence, all of Albuquerque; 22 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, Jimmy Martinez of Santa Fe, David Martinez of Albuquerque and Richard of Los Lunas; one sister, Celia Martinez of Santa Fe. He will be greatly missed by his loving family. Visitations will be held today from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary, on the corner of 8th and Iron, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday. Interment will follow at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery. Mcalees -- Ruth G. McAlees, 66, a resident of Albuquerque since 1956 died, Thursday, February 25, 1999. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Samuel McAlees, Jr. of Albuquerque; sons, Jay S. McAlees and wife Lisa of Anchorage, AK and Todd McAlees and wife, Ricki of Albuquerque; daughter, Amy Vigil and husband, John of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Mandy, Joseph, Arik, Mike, Whitney, Keenan McAlees, Stacey and Emily Young; and brother, David Gould and wife, Joanna of Latham, NY. Miller -- Maynard Miller, 69, passed away peacefully on February 25 after a courageous battle with brain cancer. He is survived by his beloved wife, Ina; his devoted daughter, Anita Bine; and loving grandchildren, Sara and Rachel Bine of St. Paul MN. He is also survived by his brothers, Stanley (Hilda) Miller of Tustin, CA and Joseph (Barbara) Miller of Rockville, MD; and his sister Judith (Les) Berman of Louisville, KY; eights nieces and nephews; and six grandnieces and nephews. His mother, Fannie of Santa Ana, CA also survives him. He was predeceased by his daughter, Diana Miller; and his father, Israel Abraham Miller. He had a special relationship with exchange"children" Martine Bono of Garches, France, Mladen Veljic of Belgrade, Yugoslavia, Susanne Kachlik of Berlin, Germany; Alfred Nordmann (Germany) of Columbia, SC, Per Frejvall of Saltsjobaden, Sweden, and Pavlinka Georgiev (Yugoslavia) of Melbourne, Australia; and his"grandson" Aaron Goodman of Albuquerque. He was born and grew up in Maine, graduating from the University of Michigan with a BBA & MBA in accounting. He had an illustrious career as a Certified Public Accountant, serving for many years as a partner with KPMG Peat Marwick, the international accounting firm. Maynard gave consistently of his time and expertise to many organization both her and abroad. He was appointed by several Governors to the State Board of Finance, the State Board of Accounting, and most recently to the Educational Retirement Board. He served on several committees of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy. As a member and chairman of the State of New Mexico Museum of Natural History Foundation, he helped to raise the money to build the museum. Other organizations included the Girl Scouts, Rotary Club of Albuquerque, Carrie Tingley Hospital, Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce, New Mexico Symphony, and June Music Festival. As a Volunteer Executive for the International Executive Service Corps, he served with Ina in Columbia, Ecuador, India, Nepal, Bangladesh and Pakistan. He also was sent by the Rotary Foundation to do accounting work in India for the Polio Project. His main interests were travel, travel photography, classical music and civic activities. His loves were his family and friends. Maynard will be remembered as a kind, gentle, caring human being with a good sense of humor and great compassion for those less fortunate. He will be sorely missed by many organizations and individuals whose lives he touched. A Memorial Service will be held at the First Unitarian Church, 3701 Carlisle NE on Saturday, March 20 at 10:00 a.m. No flowers please. Perez -- Ascencion"Cindy" Garza Perez, born May 13, 1923, left us to be with the Lord, February 27, 1999. She was a longtime resident of Austin, TX and more recently of Rio Rancho, NM. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paulo and Tomasita Garza. She is survived by her son, Robert C. Perez and wife, Andrea; grandson, Roberto Elias; sisters, Eustolia Martha Garza, Anastacia Garza, both of Austin, Texas; brother, Paulo Garza of Creedmoor, TX; niece, Adrina Garza of Austin, TX; many nieces, nephews, family and friends who will miss her. Tinsley -- Ona Erma (Toots) Tinsley, 84, of Lamesa, TX, died on Friday, February 26, 1999 at home. She was born on December 24, 1914 in Bentonville, Arkansas. She married Roy Tinsley, Jr. on July 5, 1947 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas and moved to Lamesa, TX in that same year. She was an active member of community and church and was a member of First Methodist for 50 years. She was preceded in death by her husband on October 29, 1984. She is survived by two daughters, Carter Tinsley Schildknecht of Lamesa, TX and Kaki Tinsley Shipley of Dallas, TX; one son, Edward Roy Tinsley III of Albuquerque, NM; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Memorial Services will be Monday at 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church with Rev. David Black, officiating.
