PIERCE -- ORVAL JOE Born December 7th, 1947. Deceased March 6th, 2012 of natural causes. Born to Alma Mae Nicholson and John Orval Pierce in Salem, Il. He attended elemetary school in Ft. Morgan, Moreno and Sterling, CO and moved to Farmington, NM in 1958. He attended middle school in Kirtland, NM and high school in McLeansboro, Il and Farmington, NM. Played little leage baseball in Farmington, NM and high school football in McLeansboro, Il. Joe joined the United States Army at age 17 in 1965 and served in Vietnam where he earned 2 Purple Hearts. Honorably discharged in 1967. In 1973, Joe married Paula Jahleel Price in Pecos, TX. Joe was a Life Member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was preceded in death by his father, John Orval Pierce, brother Johnny Bill and grandson Mathew Daniel Pierce. Joe is survived by his wife, Paula; mother, Alma Mae Pierce; brother, Dennis Pierce; and sister Janice Pierce Easley (Guy); son Gary Pierce (Julie); daughters Janice Adaway (Tommy), and Jody Knox (partner Jeff Yanes); grandchildren Shannon Knox, Thomas Pierce, Austin Knox, Nicholas Pierce, Whisper Adaway, Sara Pierce, Stoney Adaway, Iziah Yanes, Alex Adaway, Jenna Pliner, Taylor Jaramillo, Ryan Evans, Benjamin Evans and Cameron Evans. He also leaves behind numerous nephews, cousins and extended family and friends. Joe enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren very much. His wonderful sense of humor will dearly missed by all who knew him. A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 12, at 12:00 pm at the Town of Bernalillo Recreation Center, 370 Rotary Park Rd., Bernalillo, NM. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Wounded Warrior Fund or the charity of your choice.

CHAVEZ -- CRESENCIO DAVID Born on October 11, 1960 and passed away on March 4, 2012. He was the son of Andrea Chavez and Cresencio Chavez, Sr. He is survived by daughters Christine Colmenero (Joseph), Rose Marie Chavez (Frankie Romero), and Crystal Chavez (Omar Manzanilla), and by twelve grandchildren. He will be remembered by brothers and sisters Christobal (Boy) Chavez, Reynaldo Chavez (Lisa), Marcella Sparks, Carmen Chavez, Lorraine Aragon (Johnny), Theresa Chavez, and Maria Chavez (Anthony Sedillo). He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Rosary will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 7:00 pm and the Mass will be on Friday, March 9th at 9:00 am followed by burial at Santa Clara Cemetery. Both services will be at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco Dr. SW, Alb, NM 87105. Pallbearers will be Abel, David, Tony, Ray, Frankie, Omar, Danny Lee and Joe.

PURCELLA -- RUDY J. Age 58, of Albuquerque NM, passed peacefully at home on March 1, 2012. Born October 20, 1953 in Barellas-Albuquerque New Mexico. Rudy was preceded in death by his mother Lenora Purcella Chavez; son Anthony Jaramillo; brothers Charlie Pedroncelli, Henry Purcella, Lenard Pedroncelli; granddaughter Miranda Purcella; uncle Johnny Purcella; uncle (father figure)-Richard Mills. He is survived by his beloved wife Marilyn Purcella; 1st wife and mother of children, Barbara Purcella; sons Ronnie Purcella, Rudy Jr., Ryan Houston; daughter Jaleah Arnn; grandchildren Natasha Jaramillo, Isaiah Purcella, Joslyn Purcella, Isabel Purcella, Rudy Purcella III, Fernando Purcella, Sophia and Erik Houston, Aliyah Arnn; daughters-in-law Marlene Purcella, Maria Purcella, Erika Houston; brothers Alfred Pedroncelli, James Pedroncelli, Larry Pedroncelli; sister Isola Aguilar; cousin Robert Schmidt; sister-in-law Loudell and children Jarrod, Adeliah Baldonado; father-in-law Louis Miranda. Rudy was a phenomenal husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all. His physical presence will be greatly missed, but his memory will continue to live in the hearts of those who loved him. HEBERT -- BEVERLY IRENE Age 85, Loving wife and mother went home to the Lord on Wednesday, February 22, 2012. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Robert Hebert; children, Lex Hebert and wife, Susan, Linda Harlow, Nanette Faulhaber and husband Alan, Suzette Houston and husband Thomas; grandchildren, Robin Bernazzani, Brittany Hebert, Kendall Hebert, Natalie Maloney, Danielle Harlow, Jacqueline Harlow, Leila Picchione, Joshua Saiz, Theresa Gauthier, Stacy Gauthier, Kyle Faulhaber, Mitchell Faulhaber, Tracy Adkins and Taylor Adkins; great-grandchildren, Sarina, Johnny and Bella Bernazzani, Michelle Harlow, Issac Quintana, Madison Maloney, Olivia Harlow Martinez, Christopher Saiz, Emerson Picchione, Ty Ethridge, Michael Ethridge and Nadia Gauthier; and aunt to many nieces and nephews. MAES -- BENNY 1935-2012 Age 76, a 45 year resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Monday, Feb. 27th. He was born in Belen and retired from the University of New Mexico. Benny will always be remembered as a prankster in addition to being a very devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mona; and parents, Leandro and Premativa Maes. Benny is survived by Helen, his loving wife of 54 years; six children, sons, Charles and wife Barbara, Chris, Conrad and wife, Annette; daughter, Barbara and husband, Leroy; son, Danny and wife, Debbie; daughter, Lisa and husband, Johnny; 20 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Libby Padilla; brother, Frank Maes; and numerous nieces and nephews. On Friday, Mar. 2, a Rosary will be held at Ascension Parish, 2150 Raymac Rd. SW Albuquerque, NM at 9:00 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens after services have concluded. ROMERO -- ADELINA MARIA Age 82, a resident of Albuquerque and formerly of Chimayo, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sotero Romero; parents, Emiliano and Ramoncita Martinez; uncle and aunt who raised her, George and Frances Chavez; brothers, Benny, Carmen, Eliseo and Vicente Martinez; sisters, Cordelia Marquez and Anslema Pacheco; nephews, Ricky, Tony, Leroy, Ralph and Wilfred Martinez and Harold Pacheco; sister-in-law, Martha Martinez and brother-in-law, Nash Marquez. Adelina was a religious woman and very proudly supported Morada de Nuestro Senor de Esquipula del Santuario. She was a hard worker, an excellent cook and a very loving and caring person and was always willing to offer a helping hand to all her family, friends, neighbors and others in need of help. She adored and raised her loving successful children. Mrs. Romero is survived by her children, Esther Salazar and husband Benny, Jerry Romero and companion Doreen Campbell and Bessie Duran and husband Eloy; brother, Ross Martinez and wife Rose; sister-in-law, Tillie Martinez; brother-in-law, Ruben Pacheco; former daughter-in-law, Karen Kellovich Borrego and husband Nathan; grandchildren, Nichole Salazar-Conboy and husband Kevin, Naomi Salazar, Joshua and Jeremy Romero and Eloy Duran, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Tiffany and Shaylah Conboy; as well as numerous other relatives and many friends.
