AGUILAR -- JUAN SR. Born August 12, 1958, his soul was set free into Eternity on Friday, March 2, 2012 at the age of 53. Juan was preceded in death by his father Lazaro Aguilar, and mother Elida Garcia-Aguilar. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Brito-Aguilar; three sons Joshua Antonio Aguilar, Juan Aguilar Jr., and Isac Jerome Aguilar; daughter-in-law Erica Chavez-Aguilar; grandchildren, Marisa, Joshua, Josue, Angel, Adrianna, Angelica, Izabella, and Gabriel James; sisters, Susanna Sisneros, Nora Munoz, Elva Breedlove, Esther Aguilar; along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many loved and cherished friends. A Memorial Service celebrating Juan's life will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at New Life Church, 52 Unser SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124 beginning at 2:00 PM. A Memorial Service where his ashes will be laid to rest with his mother and father will be held in Slaton, Texas on Saturday, March 17, 2012. Juan lived life to the fullest. He will be greatly missed. No longer will he suffer any more pain, he will be forever in our hearts, be free and bask in the eternal light of our Lord God.

BEAR -- DAVID C. Born December 24, 1947, died Tuesday, March 6, 2012. He was 64 years old. After completing his Masters in Psychology at Emporia State University in Kansas, he served as a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army from July 29, 1973 until May 14, 1977. After his discharge from the Army, he began his career as a counseling psychologist for the Veterans Administration. He retired from the VA with over 20 years of service. He continued his career as a counselor at the Central Community College in New Mexico for special needs students for 12 years. He retired in January from the college. He is survived by his wife, Dana; sons, John and Andrew; sister, Janice Lawrence; brother Phil Bear; and his two best friends, Terry Sanderlin and John Bozich. David C. Bear's life will be celebrated on Saturday, March 10, 2012, at 4:00 p.m. at the French - Wyoming Chapel. A memorial will be established at the Albuquerque VA Hospital, 1501 San Pedro SE, 87108. BOYD -- MILLICENT M. Age 64, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2012. She was born in Hazelton, ND on April 23, 1947, to Wallace and Helen Kurtz. Millicent enjoyed reading, church, family, especially her grandchildren and a cuddler at Pres. NICU. BROOKS -- DOROTHY R. (PEG) Born January 5, 1922 in Ames, Oklahoma and a resident of Taos for 66 years, she passed away March 7, 2012 in Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Suit and Pauline Suit, and her husband, Oliver R. Brooks (Bob) who she met while he was flight instructor with the Army Air Corp in Enid, Oklahoma. Following marriage in 1944 and graduating from Phillips University, she and Bob moved back to his birthplace, Taos, where they raised their four surviving sons, John E. Brooks, George A. Brooks (wife, Debbi), Larry N. Brooks (wife, Heidi), of Albuquerque, and Randy S. Brooks of Taos. She is survived by grandsons, Andrew Brooks and Casey Brooks; granddaughters, Celeste Zimmermann, Cristi Brooks, Katrina Brooks and Jennifer Brooks; three great grandsons, Felix Garcia, Luke Zimmermann, and Oliver Zimmermann. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Peg will be remembered as a kind, sweet, gracious, and loving person who unselfishly continuously brightened the lives of all those who knew her. BUMP -- RONALD K. Age 82, a resident of Albuquerque, died Thursday, March 8, 2012. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Theresa; sons, David (Patricia), Gregory (Ruthanne), Michael (Julie), and Thomas (Lynette); and eight grandchildren. A veteran of the US Air Force and graduate of Oklahoma State University, Ron worked at Sandia National Laboratories and retired after 35 years. As a founding member of The Shrine of St. Bernadette, he was active in the church, and had a very generous heart. Viewing will begin at 6:00 p.m. with the recital of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 11, 2012, at French-Wyoming Chapel. FOX -- GENE Age 75, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2012. He was born in Clovis, NM on January 3, 1937, to Bynard and Birda Faye (Woltmon) Fox. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Rex Fox; and a son, Joseph Bynard Fox. Gene is survived by his wife of 58 years, Helen Fox; and children, Toni Davis of Albuquerque and Michael Fox of Sunnyvale, CA. Gene was blessed with six grandchildren, Michelle Gibson of Albuquerque, Jory Fox of Philadelphia, PA, Teri Tillman and Jennifer McFarlane, both of Albuquerque, Aaron James (A.J.) Fox and Kelsey Walker, both of Raleigh, NC; three great-grandchildren, Devin Gibson, Shannon Gibson and Jodie Grace Tillman, all of Albuquerque. Gene is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Gene was a resident of Albuquerque most of his life where he graduated from Albuquerque High School. For a brief period in his early years, Gene worked on his family's farm near Muleshoe, TX before returning to Albuquerque. He remained active in the management of the farming operation until the time of his passing. Gene is best remembered for his devotion to his family. From his parents down to his great grandchildren, Gene was interested in and involved with his family. He and Helen enjoyed "snow-birding" with his parents as they all RV traveled throughout the states. In his younger years, Gene demonstrated his love of family by becoming an avid fisherman so he could take his grandchildren fishing. He owned Commercial Industrial Insulation and HVAC until his retirement in 1985. Gene also served as the union Business Agent for Local # 76, Heat & Frost Insulators and he was a longtime member of the Moose Lodge. GONZALES -- JOE E. Age 74, born in Lamy, New Mexico, was called home to eternally dance with his wife Della at Heavens Gate on Monday, March 5, 2012. Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Della; his parents, Francisco and Inez Gonzales; his brothers, Ralph, Gabriel, Clyde and Frank; sisters Corrine, Dora, and Irene; his grandson-in-law Willie Healey. He is survived by his children, Paula Gonzales and friend Andrew Mendoza Jr., Angela and husband Brian Benner, Anthony Gonzales and friend Darcy Kent; and Joe Jr. and wife Kathy; his sisters, Gloria Vigil, Emma Esquibel, Marilyn Montoya, and Cecilia Garcia; his grandchildren, Jeffrey Wessell Jr. and wife Jennifer, Desiree Healey, Eva and husband Tim Martellini, Robin and husband Wade, Rhonda and husband Keith; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Joe was an active Parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption and participated in the Spanish Choir, served in the United States National Guard, member of Knights of Columbus and American Legion Post 49. Rosary will be held on Monday, March 12, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish on Lomas and Tennessee. JENKS -- ELIZABETH G. Elizabeth passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 3, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. Elizabeth was born June 10, 1927 in Washington, D.C., and spent much of her youth on the family farm near Gloucester, VA. After graduating from Cornell University, Elizabeth made Albuquerque her home for the last six decades of her life. She loved her family, dogs and birds and was an active dog show exhibitor throughout the southwest. Her adventurous spirit, unique sense of humor and wonderful take on life took her around the world to Africa, Australia, South America, Alaska and Europe. She was passionate about helping people and animals. She did so by devoting many years of support to the Rio Grande Kennel Club, Albuquerque Biological Park, Rio Grande Nature Center, Wildlife Rescue, All Faiths Receiving Home, Doctors without Borders, Animal Humane Society of New Mexico, The Heart and Soul Animal Sanctuary, World Wildlife Fund and The Nature Conservancy. Elizabeth leaves many loved ones who grieve her passing: son Robert and his wife Anita; grandchildren Tony and his wife Susana, David and Phillip; great-grandchildren Anthony, Joshua and Sofia Elizabeth; sister Margaret Spidle; nieces Maggie Noland, Emily Long, Elizabeth Mullendore, Judith Keat, Amy Madison and their families. Elizabeth's family and friends were truly blessed by her presence and will miss her dearly. LOWERY -- ROBERT Beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully at the age of 85 on Thursday, March 1, 2012. Bob was born on July 26, 1926 in Springfield, Illinois to Thomas E. and Edna Lowery. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 45 years, Alberta in 1994. Bob is survived by his four children, Charles R. Lowery and wife Laura of Albuquerque, Ruth Lowery-Ross and partner Janeice of Sandia Park, David C. Lowery and wife Michelle of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Phyllis Marcum of La Mirada, California. He is also survived by seven wonderful grandchildren, Meghan Finger and Mitchell Lowery, Krista and Lukas Lowery-Ross, Maile and Jessie Marcum and Tristan Lowery, and two loving step-grandchildren Michael and Christopher Longo. Dad was in the dedicated care of the staff at Hilldale House and enjoyed the exceptional care they provided. NEFF -- MIRIAM Passed away peacefully March 5, 2012. Miriam was born in Greentown, Indiana on June 21, 1930. She moved to New Mexico in 1950 and has lived most of her life in Albuquerque. Miriam is survived by her children, Lisa Heimer and husband Greg, Keith Neff and wife Kristen, Kevin Neff and wife Renee; sisters, Sue Symons and Mickey Campbell; brother, Bill Campbell; grandchildren Michelle, Alicia, Suzanne, Samantha, Robyn, Kristina, Savannah and Chandler; six great-grandchildren; as well as many loved nieces, nephews, in-laws and many very dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Wilma Campbell; daughter, Susie Griffin; former husband, Jack Neff; sister, Ruth Souter; and two great-grandsons. Miriam worked as a legal secretary for most of her career and enjoyed square dancing, knitting and traveling with her sister Sue. The family wishes to thank all those who helped take care of her in the past two months, especially her friend, Betty, as well as all of the friends and family who visited and helped take care of all of us. PIERCE -- ORVAL JOE Born December 7th, 1947. Deceased March 6th, 2012 of natural causes. Born to Alma Mae Nicholson and John Orval Pierce in Salem, Il. He attended elemetary school in Ft. Morgan, Moreno and Sterling, CO and moved to Farmington, NM in 1958. He attended middle school in Kirtland, NM and high school in McLeansboro, Il and Farmington, NM. Played little leage baseball in Farmington, NM and high school football in McLeansboro, Il. Joe joined the United States Army at age 17 in 1965 and served in Vietnam where he earned 2 Purple Hearts. Honorably discharged in 1967. In 1973, Joe married Paula Jahleel Price in Pecos, TX. Joe was a Life Member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was preceded in death by his father, John Orval Pierce, brother Johnny Bill and grandson Mathew Daniel Pierce. Joe is survived by his wife, Paula; mother, Alma Mae Pierce; brother, Dennis Pierce; and sister Janice Pierce Easley (Guy); son Gary Pierce (Julie); daughters Janice Adaway (Tommy), and Jody Knox (partner Jeff Yanes); grandchildren Shannon Knox, Thomas Pierce, Austin Knox, Nicholas Pierce, Whisper Adaway, Sara Pierce, Stoney Adaway, Iziah Yanes, Alex Adaway, Jenna Pliner, Taylor Jaramillo, Ryan Evans, Benjamin Evans and Cameron Evans. He also leaves behind numerous nephews, cousins and extended family and friends. Joe enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren very much. His wonderful sense of humor will dearly missed by all who knew him. A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 12, at 12:00 pm at the Town of Bernalillo Recreation Center, 370 Rotary Park Rd., Bernalillo, NM. ZURCHER -- FRANK On March 7, Frank Zurcher (1946-2012) devoted husband, loving father, and noble friend, passed away after a courageous battle against lymphoma. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Bibiana; daughters Sarah and Erin; sons-in-law Adam and Shawn; granddaughters Julia and Laura. For 65 years Frank cherished his family and enjoyed woodworking, camping, and his land. Frank proudly served aboard the U.S.S. Edson from 1966 to 1970. Frank touched many lives and will continue to inspire us everyday to love, live, and fight the good fight. A memorial service will be held at a later date in his honor.
