Gonzales -- Simon "Sam" Gonzales Jr., 66, a resident of Los Lunas, passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2001. He was a member of the San Clemente Catholic Church. Sam was a well-known area businessman, owning and operating S&J Service Station for 38 years. He retired from the Valencia County Sheriffs Department as a Sergeant with twenty-six years of outstanding service. He is preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Lopez and one brother, Danny. Sam is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Ernestine "Tina" of the family home in Los Lunas; four children, Lorenzo and his wife, Cleo of Peralta, Theresa, Yvonne and her fiancé Ruben Moya Sr., and Jason and his life, Gloria, all of Los Lunas; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three brothers, Gilbert and his wife, Dora of Albuquerque; Peter and his wife, Lydia of Socorro, NM; and Tom and his wife, Gina of Albuquerque. Sam is also survived by his many loving nieces and nephews. A Viewing will be held on Friday, June 29, 2001 from 5:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. with a Rosary being recited at 6:00 p.m. at the San Clemente Catholic Church in Los Lunas. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 30 at 10:30 a.m. at the San Clemente Catholic Church with Interment following at the San Clemente Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his two sons, Lorenzo and Jason; four grandsons, Ruben Moya Jr., Anthony Romero,Marcus and Simon Montano; Ruben Moya Sr. and Clem Artiaga. Davis -- Martha Jane Davis, 47, formerly of Belen and now of Los Lunas peacefully passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2001. She was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Martha was a graduate of Belen High School. She worked at the Circle K in Belen for several years. She then moved on to work for the Giant Corporation as clerk in the Los Lunas store and then went on to work at the Isleta Gaming Palace until her illness. She loved her husband, Robbin with all her heart and her son, Matt and his girlfriend, Michelle and her grandson, Marcos, who lit up her life with joy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pedro and Flora Ornelas and one sister, Josephita"Josie" Niedens. Martha is survived by her husband of twelve years, Robbin; her son, Matt and his girlfriend, Michelle; and her loving grandson, Marcos all of Los Lunas. She also leaves behind her dear brothers and sisters, Simon Ornelas and his wife, Bertha; Arthur Ornelas and a special friend Mike Frelander; Odie Davis; and Connie Montoya and her husband, Tony. She is also survived by her loving nieces, nephews, cousins and many other loved ones. A Viewing was held on Monday, May 14 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m. at Romero Funeral Home. Jaramillo -- Samuel J. Jaramillo passed away peacefully in the loving arms of his family on Saturday, April 21, 2001. He was 85 years old. Mr. Jaramillo was born in Los Ancones, NM, where he lived his early years. Mr. Jaramillo was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He participated in several campaigns during World War II. He was involved in the invasion of Sicily and then through Italy and Oran Africa. He was with the combat engineers with the 345th division attached to the 5th Army. After the war he came home and married his wife, Asencion M. Martinez and moved to Colorado to work for the railroad in Pando. Later he worked for Bandelier National Parks Service and in Los Alamos, NM. He and his wife raised five children who always remained the center of their lives. During his life Mr. Jaramillo enjoyed working with wood and made several outstanding pieces of furniture. Mr. Jaramillo was a member of the American Legion Post 90 and belonged to the Laborers' International Union of North America. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1995. He is survived by his two sisters, Adelina Montoya and Feliz Jaramillo of La Madera NM; by his three sons: Tony Jaramillo and wife, Manuelita, Simon Jaramillo and wife, Adelaida, Larry Jaramillo and wife, Diana; two daughters: Rosie Pacheco and husband, Arthur, and Theresa Crocker and husband, Jack; nine grandchildren: Antionio, Estefanita, Sonia, Isaac, Sammy, Frances, Matthew, Sara and Danielle, also Mark and Lanette. Visitation will be held Monday Evening at 6:00 p.m. at St. Therese Little Flower, Rosary Services will follow at St. Therese at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Therese Little Flower Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m. with the Reverend John Plans as celebrant. Interment with military honors will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matthew Jaramillo, Antonio Jaramillo, Estefanita Maestas, Isaac Pacheco, Sonia Jaramillo, and Sammy Jaramillo. Martin -- William C."Cliff" Martin, 91, passed away April 16, 2001 at his home in Cedar Crest, NM. Mr. Martin was born July 19, 1901 in Twin Falls, ID and grew up in San Simon, AZ. He was in the Marine Corps during WWII, moved to Albuquerque in 1931 where he retired from the railroad as a mail clerk. During his lifetime, he enjoyed and was an avid tennis player. He is preceded in death by his wife, Louise who passed away in 1981. He is survived by his son, Donald K. Martin; daughter, Sandra J. Matthews, both of Cedar Crest, NM; grandchildren, Preston Matthews and his wife, Sayuri of Santa Fe, NM, Lisa Pinney, Karl Martin of Albuquerque, Monica Holt and her husband, Greg of Williamsberg, VA; and five great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at St. John United Methodist Church, 2626 Arizona NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110 on Saturday, April 21, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Larranaga -- Sofia T. Larranaga, age 88 passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2001. She is survived by one brother, Herman Tapia and his wife, Rosina, one sister, Ageda Apodaca. She is also survived by 5 daughters: Carmen Blan and her husband, Melisandro, Rebecca Moomaugh and her husband, Ralph, Martha Dominguez and her husband, Ervey, Elizabeth Rubalcaba, Eunice Grigsby and her husband, William. Sofia is also survived by seven sons: Manuel Larranaga and his wife, Lita, Leopoldo Larranaga and his wife, Lupe, Severo Larranaga, and his wife Rozella, Modesto Madril and his wife Silvia, Job Larranaga and his wife, Margarita, Daniel Larranaga and his wife, Betty, Simon Larranaga and his wife, Valerie. 36 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews also survive Sofia. Memorial Services will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 8904 Menaul NE, Albuquerque, NM on Monday, April 9, 2001 at 4:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park.

Pacheco -- Mrs. Annie M.A. Pacheco, 68, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on April 3, 2001. Mrs. Pacheco is the beloved wife of 47 years to Mr. Lee Pacheco. She is also survived by her children, Leenora Pacheco, Bertha Pacheco and boyfriend, Mike, Judy Jaramillo and husband, David, Theresa Pacheco, Gloria Pacheco and boyfriend, Fidencio, Joseph Pacheco, Arturo Pacheco and wife, Diana, Jesus Pacheco and girlfriend, Erlinda; mother-in-law, Bertha Pacheco, 96 years of age; one sister, Pita Lucero; one brother, Frank Lesperance and wife, Celina; special neighbor, George and Della Tabet and sons; 32 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law and friends. She is preceded in death by her son, Lee Ross Pacheco and a brother, Larry Lesperance. Mrs. Pacheco was a member of the Catholic Church, past member of Compadres de Albuquerque, revived Los Posadas and the Blessing of The Animals, she promoted the true Spanish language, she was involved with taking care of the handicapped and less fortunate. She was a mom to everyone and an excellent cook (100%), she was also in a Walt Disney Production-Movie"The Mustang". She will be greatly missed by all. A Rosary will be recited Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. at San Jose de Los Duranes Mission Church, 2110 Los Luceros NW, with visitation at the church after 6:30 p.m. Fidel Pacheco, reciting. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. at San Jose de los Duranes Mission Church with final viewing at the church after 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. Pallbearers will be Joseph Pacheco, Arturo Pacheco, Jesus Pacheco, Jo-Jo Vallejos, Paul Vallejos and Arturo Pacheco Jr. Honorary will be Fidel Pacheco, Gabriel Pacheco, Christopher Pacheco, Rosendo De Haven and Simon Jaramillo.
