He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Annabel Arias; children, Donna-Marie Pechner and husband, Stuart of Maryland, Robert A. Arias and wife, Minnie of San Diego, Susan-Marie Arias of Albuquerque, Scott A. Arias and wife, Marne of Michigan and Arnie A. Janet Madeline Sandoval Atler went to God on Thursday. May 17, 2001 from a local hospital. She was the beloved wife of Albert M, Atler Jr. and the mother of two daughters, Christina Renee and Cynthia Marie. She is also survived by her parents Peter and Joanna Sandoval and her brothers; Joe and wife Kellei and children Joey and Amanda of Belen, Jeff of San Francisco, CA, James and wife Barbara and daughter Lilly of Peralta. Rosary services are scheduled for Monday May 21 at the Catholic Church in Casa Colarada at 7:00 pm. The funeral Mass will be held Friday May 25,2001 at Immaculate Conception Church in Tome. Besse --
Johann "Hans" W. Besse, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully on May 16, 2001, on his 43rd wedding anniversary. His devoted wife, Ursula Besse and only child, Barbara Besse-Brewer were there to surround him in love and comfort him in his final moments. He is further survived by his two grandsons, Cooper and Spencer Besse-Brewer; son-in-law, Matthew Besse-Brewer; sister, Elisabet Speck and niece, Karin Schaefer (both of Germany). Hans, born on September 30, 1931 in Gladbeck, Germany was the son of Johann Besse and Maria Schmelzer Besse. His strong will enabled him to fight his illnesses with hope, grace and dignity. His beautiful blue eyes, humor and loving spirit will be greatly missed. Earl F. Brown, 86, a resident of Albuquerque since 1978, died on Wednesday, May 16, 2001. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Helen V. Brown of Albuquerque; daughter, Nancy Hayden and husband, Floyd of Sturgis, Michigan; grandchildren, Jonathan Hayden and wife, Candace of St. Joseph, MI, Matthew Hayden and wife, Kris of White Pigeon, MI, and William R. Gerhardstein of Sturgis, MI; and five great-grandchildren. Earl was chosen to be a part of the Henry Ford Trade School in Detroit, Michigan where he received his secondary education, an opportunity he was very proud to have had. Howard Burgess, 87, a resident of Albuquerque since 1950, passed away on May 18, 2001. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lovola Burgess; daughter, Patricia Kerr, both of Albuquerque; granddaughters, Jennifer Burita of Alexandria, VA, Julie Sturgeon of Littleton, CO; sister, Margaret Shelgren of Martinez, CA; niece, Beverly Lauderdale of Martinez, CA; nephew, Jon Shelgren of Sacramento, CA. A daughter, Suzanne Lewis preceded him in death. Howard was born on August 10, 1913 in Joplin, MO. As a youngster he moved with his family to Iowa where he attended public schools. Professionally, Howard was chief engineer at several radio stations in Iowa and worked in electronics with United Air Lines in Cheyenne, WY. In 1950 Howard moved with his wife and children to Albuquerque, working at Sandia National Laboratory until his retirement. )From his teen years on, Howard had three major interests: electronics, writing and cartooning. He built the first short-wave radio station in southern Iowa. He published many magazine articles, particularly in the areas of electronics and health. His most recent cartoon appeared in the Saturday Evening Post this past year. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be announced at a later date. Following the memorial service, his cremains will be interred in Clarksville, IA. Alice P. Chavez, 85, a resident of Albuquerque since 1941, passed away Friday, may 18, 2001, at a local hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Seledon N. Chavez; parents, Nicolas and Rumaldita Pacheco; and brothers, Florenio and Juan Pacheco. She is survived by her daughter, Louisa and husband, Rev. Jesus G. Bermudez of Albuquerque; sisters, Beatrice and husband, Florentino Lopez of Bosque, NM, Libby Pacheco of Albuquerque, Lily and husband, Jerry Jaramillo of Lancaster, CA and Betty Barela of Belen; brother, Gilly B. Pacheco of Albuquerque; and several nieces and nephews. She was a member of El Buen Samaritano United Methodist Church and an active member of United Methodist Women. Leonore Virginia (Rome) Clow, a resident of Albuquerque since 1984, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 18, 2001 in the company of her husband, children and grandchildren. Mrs. Clow was born on August 8, 1921 in Milwaukee, WI. She is survived by her husband, James Martin Clow of Albuquerque; daughters, Diane Leonore Weber and husband, Tom of Pullman, WA and Kathleen Clow of Sandia Park, NM; sons, James Anthony Clow of Las Cruces, NM and Michael Raymond Clow and wife, Donna of Rio Rancho, NM; grandchildren, Michael Andrew Clow, Christianna Leigh Clow and Ashley Danielle Clow, all of Rio Rancho, NM; sister, Viona Dunn of Milwaukee, WI; numerous nieces and nephews in Milwaukee. Her parents, Johanna Walcher and Joseph Rome, a brother, Edgar and a sister Dorothy Schultz preceded her in death. Leonore trained as a transcriptionist and worked with the telephone company in Milwaukee, WI during WWII. She was married to James Martin Clow, whom she had known since the second grade, on March 21, 1945 in Wichita Falls, TX after James' return from the war where he served as a 1st LT and pilot of a B-26 bomber in the Mediterranean Theater. In 1947, James and Leonore moved to Los Alamos, NM where they lived until 1984. She enjoyed hiking and snowshoeing in the Jemez Mountains with a local hiking group. Mrs. Clow was very involved with her children's activities, serving as Brownie Troup and Girl Scout Troup Leader, den mother for the Cub Scouts and an avid volunteer at sporting events. After retirement in Albuquerque she enjoyed attending local arts and craft exhibits and antique buying trips with her daughter. Leonore enjoyed baking and for many years made dozens of cookies at Christmas, many of them from her mother's recipes. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Monday, May 21, 2001 at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd, NE. Mary Cooper, age 88, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2001. She was born August 4, 1912 in Pryor, Oklahoma and as a young child made the journey with her late parents, Oscar and Clara Mae Bassett, to homestead in Venus, NM, now known as Edgewood. Mary will be remembered as a loving, kind, and caring lady, more concerned for everyone else's well being than her own. The eldest of six children, she took on many family responsibilities, including caring for their widowed mother for many years. Throughout her life as long as she was able, she continued the role of caregiver. If she couldn't offer her home or her time, she used the telephone to check on loved ones that concerned her, including her two dear close brothers, Elmer and George Bassett, who both preceded her in death. Surviving are sisters; Linnie Malott of San Dimas, California, Eunice King of Amarillo, Texas; brother Carl Bassett of Edgewood; sisters-in-law, Loyce Fullingim of Albuquerque and Iona Patton of Morgan Hill, California. Buster, her beloved husband of 66 years, preceded her in death three years prior, but in the same month and day, May 16, 1998. Their son, Ray preceded her in death on May 27, 2000. Surviving are daughters; Vivian and husband, Ron Ohnleiter of Albuquerque, Beverly and husband, Doug Davis of Ft. Worth, TX; and daughter-in-law, Janie Cooper of Albuquerque. She was a loving and devoted Grandmother to; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Mary was also Aunt to many nieces and nephews. She captured many hearts and was loved by everyone involved in her care. Many new wonderful people came into her life during her illness, and her daughters wish to express their gratitude for the loving care given Mary, and for the compassion and support shown to them during this difficult time. Services will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2001, 1:30p.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd N.E. with, Pastor George Morris, officiating. Elaine Cordova, 27, went home to the Lord on May 17, 2001. She is the daughter of Ubaldo and Florela Cordova, granddaughter of Ernesto and Maria Candelaria. She is survived by her fiance, Gilbert Archibeque; son, Benito Fredrico Ortega; daughter, Jasmine Archibeque. Brothers: Adan Sedillo and wife Theresa; Benny Sandoval and wife Laura; Sisters: Mary Juarez and husband Tony; Charlotte Ramkowsky and husband Edward. Godmother, Barbara Guiterrez. She is also survived by many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and friends. John Hermiston Ferguson, born in Titusville, PA on May 30, 1914, passed away May 10, 2001 in Albuquerque, NM. He is preceded in death by his wife of 50+years, Olive Ferguson. Carl R. Fisher Jr., passed away May 16, 2001. He was born February 9, 1929 in Temple, Texas. He was a carpet cleaning salesman and a veteran of the U.S.A.F. serving during the Korean War. Being a very talented artist, he loved to paint and he also enjoyed stock car racing. He is survived by four children; Carolyn Spence, Albuquerque, NM, Michael Fisher, Chattanooga, TN, Nancy Ward, Nashville, TN, and Merry Harwood of Albuquerque, NM, one sister; Sarah Sloan, Stillwater, OK, and seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by grandsons Rocky Ward and Sean Harwood and a granddaughter, Amy Spence. Frazier --
Nathan E. Frazier, (Bo), who was born August 25, 1921 in San Antonio, TX passed away May 12, 2001. He was raised in Del Rio, TX, and attended Kerrville Military School. During WWII, he served as a military officer with the U.S. Army. Mr. Frazier came to Albuquerque with his father, Nathan E. (Nat) Frazier where they started Frazier Furniture Company. After his father's retirement, Bo worked for KGGM-TV. Upon his retirement, Bo, his wife, Gladys, and their daughter, Khristie operated a coffee shop for several years. Mr. Frazier was a well known member of the Albuquerque Country Club where he held the title of Club Golf Champion for two years. Survivors include his sister, Marie Allen; his daughter, Khristie Bennett; his son, Trey Frazier; his son-in-law, Ray Bennett; along with five grandsons; one granddaughter; three great-grandsons; and two nieces. he will be missed. Private interment will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery where Mr. Frazier will be laid to rest beside his wife, Gladys who preceded him in death in November 2000. Sunrise Society is serving the family of Mr. Frazier. (891-8200).

Russell Garlin, 93, passed away March 20, 2001 and was buried in Palmyra, Pennsylvania. He was born August 25, 1907 in Duncannon, PA. He is survived by his daughter, Janice Richards and husband, David of Albuquerque and by a son, Russell Garlin II and wife, Zoe of Gilbert, AZ; 6 grandchildren, including Elizabeth Dahlinger and husband, Kent and Craig Richards and wife, Joyce of Albuquerque; and 5 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 23rd, 7:00 p.m. at Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 8600 Academy NE. A reception will follow at the church. Geck --
Col. Charles Geck, USA (Ret.), 86, peacefully passed away in his home surrounded by his children on Wednesday, May 16, 2001. He is survived by his sons, Randolph F. Geck and wife, Carol; Howard C. Geck; daughter, Florence R. Geck; granddaughter, Alicia; brother, Harry Geck; and his former wife, Florence V. Krick-Jimenez. He was preceded in death by his parents Carlos Conrad and Romana Benavides Geck; wife, Nettie Faye Geck; sisters, Margie Apodaca, Mary Stella Chavez, and Tiela Lopez; and great uncle, Albert Benavides. Charles was born on March 29, 1915 in La Mesa, NM. He lived most of his dynamic life in New Mexico, joining the US Navy in 1936 and the US Army in 1942 to serve his country in both WWII and the Korean War. He was awarded the Bronze Star for valor and the coveted Combat Infantryman Badge, both earned in battle. Charles returned to Albuquerque to successfully complete careers in the Department of Defense Civil Service and the New Mexico Army National Guard, retiring at the rank of Colonel. During this time, he was active in the Elk's Lodge and completed his Bachelor's Degree in Business from the University of Albuquerque and a Master's Degree in Guidance and Counseling from the University of New Mexico. He continued to serve his fellow New Mexicans as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor for the State of New Mexico and advisor for the Social Security Commission, and as a longtime volunteer for the Service Core of Retired Executives (SCORE) and Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR). He was also a member of the Kirtland Air Force Base Officer's Club. Charles was deeply involved with, supported by, and owed much gratitude to the Veteran's Administration Hospital, including the Cancer Support Group, Mental Health, and the 6th Floor"Chemo Club." Rosary will be recited Sunday, May 20, 2001, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE. Mass will be celebrated Monday, May 21, 2001, 10:00 a.m., at Kirtland Air Force Base, Wyoming Blvd. East Chapel (please refer to this announcement to the Gate Guards for admission). Ora Frances Grubb, 89 of Westridge Road, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2001 at Landsun Health Service Center, Carlsbad, New Mexico. She will not lie in state. Entombment was Saturday, May 19, 2001, at Chester T. French Mausoleum at Sunset Memorial Park, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Memorial Service will be at a later date in Carlsbad. Denton Funchess Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Ora Frances Grubb was born Friday, January 26, 1912 to Mack Fenton Grubb and Sarah Dail Badd Grubb in Lenoir City, Tennessee. Miss Grubb was an elementary teacher spending most of her career at Bandelier School in Albuquerque, New Mexico with a year absence as an exchange teacher in Scotland. She was a life long very active member of the Methodist Church. Two brother and sister preceded her in death. Survivors are one sister, Mary Alice Calloway of Tucson, Arizona; 1 Nephew; 3 Nieces; 2 Great-nephews; 2 Great-nieces. Harvey --
Donald Leon Harvey, 63, died May 14, 2001, at his Albuquerque home. He was born January 14, 1938, in Vickery (Dallas), TX to William Leon Harvey and Delia Jane Weeden Harvey, who preceded him in death as did his older brother, Ron. Donald spend his youth in Amarillo, TX, and graduated from Amarillo High School where he was active in varsity activities. He attended SMU, Dallas, and became a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Residing in Albuquerque since 1972, he followed a career in commercial real estate, and earned a CPM (Certified Property Manager) designation. He was a member of IREM and a past president of the local chapter. His wife Gail Delcambre Harvey, and his faithful friend of 18 years, Mikie Cat, survived Don. A loving and beloved father, Donald is survived by his daughter, Tracey Harvey, of Boulder, CO; his son, Donald Leon Harvey, Jr., Christi Hawkins and granddaughter, Kacie Anne Harvey, all of Albuquerque. He is also survived by his sister, Susan Allen and husband David, of Ada, OK; brother, John Harvey and wife Kay, of Dallas, TX, as well as a large extended family and many dear friends. In accordance with Don's wishes, no formal memorial service has been planned in Albuquerque; rather he wished that friends would gather often to celebrate the strength of friendship and remember the happy times we all shared while he was with us. Cremation has taken place and a family memorial service will be held in Amarillo, TX.

Haskell --
Walter J. Haskell, passed away on May 6, 2001. Born October 5, 1923 in the back seat of a taxi cab on a ferry boat in San Frnacisco Bay, California. He was the youngest of four children. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles and sisters, Ora Faye and Lavon Haskell. Walter joined the Navy in 1940, serving first in China, later in the Pacific as a torpedo man. After six years of service he left California to visit his sister in Wyoming but was inadvertently detained in New Mexico and so loved it here, he made it his home. In 1950, he married Nancy J. England and together they had three children, Donald J. Haskell, San Diego, Colleen J. Haskell of Edgewood, and Barbara J. Ryan of Greenville, SC. He worked at Sandia National Laboratories as a design engineer and retired after 25 years. Not enjoying retirement, he then worked for Missouri Research and Los Alamos Labs. When he retired completely from that career in 1985, he worked as a farrier, a field he had begun part time some years earlier because of his great love of horses. He continued shoeing horses until reluctantly quitting at age 71. Walter had a passionate love of life and people and an indominable spirit of adventure which brought him many interests, experiences and countless friends. He enjoyed racing motorcycles and target shooting as a young man in California, his interest in New Mexico expanding to hunting big game, trail riding, mountain man rendezvous, cross country skiing and riding with the Juan Tomas Hunt Club. He became huntsmen for the Juan Tomas Hounds, served enthusiastically from 1985 to 1990 and was awarded a lifetime honorary membership. He was also a lifetime member of the NRA and had been a member of MENSA, Morgan Horse Club, Carriage Club and North American Trail Ride Conference. Being an avid reader, wonderful conversationalist and witty humorous, he always had an interesting and entertaining story to tell. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends, old and new alike. Walter is survived by his loving wife, Audrey; son, Donald; daughters, Colleen and Barbara; grandchildren: Jason, Brittney and Aaron; nephews, Art and Tom Chapman; sister-in-law Joy Taylor and her family. A Memorial Service and Reception will be held at 11:00 a.m., June 9th, 2001 at 246 Angus Rd, a private home in Corrales. This is a program where his wonderful horse, Rico, now joins with physical therapists assisting physically and mentally challenged children face and overcome their difficulties. Walt was my teacher, my jokester, my joy, my love. I will miss him terribly. But as I remember him and his stories, the things he taught me and the little notes he use to leave me, I will laugh and cry and smile, glad that I got the chance to be his friend, his wife, his cohort in jokes and in life. Walt is now the caring, helpful punster, horseman, mountainman, huntsman, genius and storyteller he once was. Free at last to wonder the hills and mountains and deserts of heaven. Richard Henry Ness, 80, passed away May 3, 2001, in Boise, ID. A Private Funeral Service was held on May 4, 2001 by his surviving children, Kevin Ness of Boise, ID, Laura Ness of Boise, ID, and Carla Ness Ranum of Bermunda. Richard (Dick) was born December 9, 1920 in Detroit, MI to Henry and Mildred Ness. He grew up in Chicago, with his beloved sister, Bonnie Mae, until he joined the Navy during WWII. As a Captain, Richard was stationed in both England and Scotland. Later he served in the Reserves. Richard received a BA in English Literature from the University of New Mexico and an MA in Literature from the University of Wisconsin. He married Mildred Dorothy Morrow of Albuquerque and fathered a son and two daughters. He was employed by APS for 30+ years, teaching English Literature, Composition, and History at Highland HS. Richard was genuinely an inspired teacher and earned the respect and adoration of both students and colleagues alike, many former students became lifetime friends. Most of all, he was a Renaissance man, placing his faith in human reason and art, Aristotle and Shakespeare. He lived a life balanced between thinking and action and he is deeply missed by his children, grandchildren, and friends. The following is an excerpt from Wallace Stevens' Sunday Morning, one of my father's favorite poems,"We live in an old chaos of the sun/ Or old dependency of day and night/ Or island solitude, unsponsored free/ Of that wide water, inescapable/ Deer walk upon our mountains, and the quail/ Whistle about us their spontaneous cries/ Sweet berries ripen in the wilderness/ and in the isolation of the sky/ At evening, casual flocks of pigeons make/ Ambiguous undulations as they sink/ Downward to darkness, on extended wings." Rumaldo (Rudy) Otero Jr., age 64, and a life long resident of New Mexico died Thursday, May 17, 2001 following an accident. Rudy is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Otero of Albuquerque; one son, Randall Otero and his wife, Monica of Albuquerque; one daughter, Sharon Minichiello and her husband, Wayne of Boulder, CO; his mother, Louisa Otero of Albuquerque; two sisters, Mela Perea of Los Lunas, and Lucy LaPort of CA. He is also survived by his five grandchildren, Randi Nicole and Bradley Rey Otero, Alexandra, Michael, and Carly Minichiello. Mr. Otero was a member of the church of the risen Savior. He was a manager for Walgreen's for 21 years, and was also a Supervisor for the City of Albuquerque Parks & Recreation Community center division. Rudy devoted his life to his children, grandchildren and the children of Albuquerque. Arthur Whitney, born in New Haven, CT on February 2, 1920 passed away on May 17, 2001. Surviving family members include his wife of 55 years, Iva; son Allan and wife Beth Soybel Porter; daughter Sheri Porter; sister-in-law Muriel Denison; brother-in-law William Denison and wife Jason; sister Shirley and husband Bernie Desko of Erie, PA; sisters Janet and Beverly; and brothers Scott, Charles and Philip. Arthur traveled west to New Mexico in 1943 courtesy of the U.S. Army where he was stationed at Kirtland Army Airfield. He then served overseas in Guam and the Philippines until the end of WWII. He returned to New Mexico where he completed a Business Degree at the University of New Mexico while assisting with the family business, Denison Coffee Co. After graduation, Arthur started his career at Sandia National Labs where he participated in many different facets of the lab's operation. Some of his duties included the development of national shipping standards for nuclear and other sensitive materials, as well as management of weapons materials. Arthur was an avid HAM Radio operator (WA5ETF) and served as the State Coordinator for the Military Affiliate Radio System (MARS) during the Vietnam War. During this time he was responsible for connecting servicemen overseas with their family members using the amateur radio networks. Arthur took great pleasure in being outdoors, be it working in his yard or out playing golf. He was an avid reader, sci-fi fan, and armchair philosopher. He was, above all else, a loving and loyal husband and father who set a high example on how to live life with integrity, compassion, and honesty. The family wishes to thank the staff at the VA Hospital for providing Arthur with the finest care during his final days. Cremation has taken place, and interment will be at the Santa Fe National Cemetery Tuesday, May 22nd, at 11:30 AM. Michael M. Romero Esq. 43, was called home on May 16, 2001. "Big Mike" was a practicing attorney in Las Cruces, NM for 15 years and an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and camping. His family is his source of joy and love and this was evident in all that he had accomplished in his short life. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Redolfo Romero, paternal grandparents, Marcos A. and Angelica M. Romero and maternal grandfather, Ignacio Ramirez. Rev. William E. Scholes, age 84, born November 2, 1916, died May 7, 2001. Bill Scholes is survived by his wife, June Scholes; daughters, Karen and Jean; and sons, Ed and Keith. Bill was a minister and social worker who dedicated his life to making the world a better place for others. Born in Pawtucket, RI, Bill received his B.A. from Brown University, 1938; M.S.W. from Columbia University, 1940; and M.DIV from McCormick Presbyterian Theological Seminary, 1947. He was Director of Christopher House in Chicago. He then served as Western Field Director of Migrant and Indian Ministries for the National council of Churches and as Director for World Relief and Refugee Programs, Program Agency, Presbyterian Church, USA. Bill also served as Pastor for the Mountain Ministry Parish at Nogal, Ancho and Corona, NM before his retirement in 1980. His active retirement included five interim Pastoral appointments with Presbyterian Churches in Albuquerque, Roswell and Ruidoso, NM. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, on July 28, 2001, at Pasadena Presbyterian Church, Colorado and Madison, Pasadena, CA. These special times with her loved ones were happy, warm and loving days, which were cut short by illness which occurred recently. He was known as Ramblin' Robert in high school because of his love of athletics. He attended Trinidat College on a football scholarship. Ruth Heishman White, 91, formerly of Vickery, OH and Sarasota, FL, died Thursday, May 17, 2001, at the home of her daughter, Mary. She is survived by her daughters, Joyce Coyne and husband, Walter, of Los Angeles, CA, Mary Jones and Doris Roycraft and husband, Gary, all of Albuquerque; sister, Lillian H. Hetrick and husband, Russell of Bellevue, OH; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter White; son, Keith; daughter, Patricia; son-in-law, Samuel Jones; parents, Seymour C. and Gettie Reed Heishman; sisters, Myrtle Martin, Edna Atwood, Ethel Deal; brothers, Henry, Glenn, Russell, and Robert. Mrs. White and her husband operated a farm in Vickery, OH from the time of their marriage in 1930 to 1957, when they retired to Sarasota, FL. They lived there until his death in 1966. She moved to Albuquerque in 1994. Mrs. White was an excellent seamstress and cook, 4-H Leader, Farm Bureau Member, longtime PTA member of Townsend School, and was employed at Rockwell Springs Trout Club in Clyde, OH. Services will be held Sunday, May 20, 2001, 6:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Bishop James Jeppson officiating. Interment will take place in Palms Memorial Park in Sarasota, FL. Rhoda Zander joined with her heavenly father on Friday morning, May 18, 2001. Following a long well-fought battle with lung disease, the time for her pain to cease finally arrived. Do not mourn for her, her life was full of joy and now her joy is even greater. Survivors include her sons, Kevin L. Zander and wife, Bobbee Frances of Albuquerque, Sandee Zander, and James Zander; and daughter, Babette Taylor and families, all of Texas.
