William C. "Cliff" Martin, 91, passed away April 16, 2001 at his home in Cedar Crest, NM. Mr. Martin was born July 19, 1901 in Twin Falls, ID and grew up in San Simon, AZ. He was in the Marine Corps during WWII, moved to Albuquerque in 1931 where he retired from the railroad as a mail clerk. During his lifetime, he enjoyed and was an avid tennis player. He is preceded in death by his wife, Louise who passed away in 1981. He is survived by his son, Donald K. Martin; daughter, Sandra J. Matthews, both of Cedar Crest, NM; grandchildren, Preston Matthews and his wife, Sayuri of Santa Fe, NM, Lisa Pinney, Karl Martin of Albuquerque, Monica Holt and her husband, Greg of Williamsberg, VA; and five great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at St. John United Methodist Church, 2626 Arizona NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110 on Saturday, April 21, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
