Garcia -- William"Billy" Garcia, 78, passed away June 27, 1999. He was a lifelong resident of Old Town and a member of San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cecelia Garcia Velarde. Billy is survived by his wife of 58 years, Emma Garcia; six daughters, Barbara Haggard of Lyons, KS, Viola Maez of Lynwood, WA, Catherine Magruder of Richmond, MO, Lorraine Velarde of Albuquerque, Betty Gonzales of Corpus Christi, TX, and Valerie Groll of San Antonio, TX; ten grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three sisters; one brother; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends who loved and will miss him. Memorial services will be held at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 30, 1999, and Mass to be celebrated at 12:00 noon on Thursday, July 1, 1999. Cox -- Patrick T."Tommy" Cox, 20, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on June 23, 1999. Tommy is survived by his father, Ken Cox; mother and step-father, Sandy and Lawrence Gonzales; his sister, Autumn Cox; his nephew, Tommy Cox; grandparents, Jeanne Hunt, Patrick Cox, Joaquin and Romana Gonzales; his girlfriend, Shurie Gonzales; many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. A Funeral service will be held Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Chapel, 4001 Osuna Rd N.E. Pastor Dave Row, officiating. The family will be receiving family and friends at the church 9:30 a.m. Private disposition has taken place. Gibson -- Lugarda Madrid Gibson went to be with the Lord on June 19, 1999. She was preceded in death by her parents, Desiderio and Feliz Madrid. Lugarda is survived by one daughter, Loretta Aguirre and husband, Jonathan; two granddaughters, Kathleen Feliz Steven-Aguirre, Bernadette M. Aguierre; one brother, Luis Madrid; also many nephews and nieces. Lugarda was a director of the New Mexico Human Resource Services for 25 years, she was also the proprietor of Casa Feliz in Taos and Old Town. She was a member of the Lady of the Altar. She will be greatly missed by her loving family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated today at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m., with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Luis A. Madrid, Phillip A. Madrid, Daniel T. Madrid, Frank A. Cordova, Gilbert Dominguez and Shane Jorgensen. Honorary will be Justin P. Madrid, Jordan Madrid, Luis Gonzales, Erick Gonzales, Chris Jorgensen, Gilbert Dominguez Jr., Daniel Dominguez, Anthony Darrington, Justin Madrid, Joseph Madrid, Matthew Cordova, and Adrian Madrid. Gonzales -- Mrs. Ferminia"Minnie" Gonzales, 84, a resident of Rio Rancho, passed away on June 22, 1999. Mrs. Gonzales is survived by her daughter, Anita Glaser and husband, David; one son, Eugene Gonzales and wife, Christine; five grandchildren, Richard, Michelle, Kimberly, Geofrey, Amy and Jedediah; five great-grandchildren, Richard, Taylor, Nick, Anna Marie Crystal and Jacklyn; and many other extended family members. Mrs. Gonzales was a member of the Catholic Church and a cancer survivor. A Rosary will be recited Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW, with visitation after 6:30 p.m. Joe Quintana, reciting. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, 9:00 a.m., at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal SW, with final viewing at the church after 8:30 a.m. Father Shedlock, Celebrant.
