Lugarda Madrid Gibson went to be with the Lord on June 19, 1999. She was preceded in death by her parents, Desiderio and Feliz Madrid. Lugarda is survived by one daughter, Loretta Aguirre and husband, Jonathan; two granddaughters, Kathleen Feliz Steven-Aguirre, Bernadette M. Aguierre; one brother, Luis Madrid; also many nephews and nieces. Lugarda was a director of the New Mexico Human Resource Services for 25 years, she was also the proprietor of Casa Feliz in Taos and Old Town. She was a member of the Lady of the Altar. She will be greatly missed by her loving family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated today at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m., with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Luis A. Madrid, Phillip A. Madrid, Daniel T. Madrid, Frank A. Cordova, Gilbert Dominguez and Shane Jorgensen. Honorary will be Justin P. Madrid, Jordan Madrid, Luis Gonzales, Erick Gonzales, Chris Jorgensen, Gilbert Dominguez Jr., Daniel Dominguez, Anthony Darrington, Justin Madrid, Joseph Madrid, Matthew Cordova, and Adrian Madrid.
