William"Billy" Garcia, 78, passed away June 27, 1999. He was a lifelong resident of Old Town and a member of San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cecelia Garcia Velarde. Billy is survived by his wife of 58 years, Emma Garcia; six daughters, Barbara Haggard of Lyons, KS, Viola Maez of Lynwood, WA, Catherine Magruder of Richmond, MO, Lorraine Velarde of Albuquerque, Betty Gonzales of Corpus Christi, TX, and Valerie Groll of San Antonio, TX; ten grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three sisters; one brother; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends who loved and will miss him. Memorial services will be held at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 30, 1999, and Mass to be celebrated at 12:00 noon on Thursday, July 1, 1999.
