GERMAN -- Lawrence Davis German, M.D., FAAC, age 55, died Tuesday, November 16, 2005 following a courageous 3 1/2 year battle with pancreatic cancer. Born Thursday, April 28, 1950 in Schenectady, NY to Lawrence Lyle and Phyllis Davis German. Dr. German attended Boston University Medical School, did his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Rochester/Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY and completed his Fellowship in Cardiology and Electrophysiology at Duke University in Durham, NC, where he continued as faculty and head of the Electrophysiology Department at Duke until 1988. After leaving Duke University, Dr. German practiced Cardiology Electrophysiology in Nashville, TN with Page-Campbell Cardiology from 1988 until 1999. In 2000, Dr. German moved to Albuquerque, NM and joined The New Mexico Heart Institute where he practiced until his death. He is survived by his wife, Danise, and daughter, Kirsten Macall, age 10, of Albuquerque; daughters, Laura Ellen, age 26 and Julia Lynn, age 24, both of Nashville, TN; step-son, Brannon Edward Burroughs, age 23 of Atlanta, GA; father, Lawrence Lyle German; sister, Ellen Berndt and niece, Elizabeth Berndt of Columbus, OH; brother, Andrew German and sister-in-law, Luann German of Atlanta, GA. He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Davis German. Dr. German devoted his life to Electrophysiology and healing hearts. The hearts of his family, co-workers, friends and patients that are now broken in his loss, will find solace in knowing that he deeply loved and cared for each one of us and remains with us through his spirit of commitment felt by all. The family will receive visitors on Friday, November 18, 2005 at the family home of the late Dr. Lawrence German from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at St. John's Episcopal Cathedral in Albuquerque, NM on Saturday, November 19, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. with a reception to follow at the Albuquerque Country Club. The family would like to extend deepest gratitude to all the people who assisted in the care of Dr. German during his illness with special mention to Dr. Vijay Agarwal, Dr. Barbara McAneny, Vince Gilbert and the wonderful staff of VistaCare and The New Mexico Heart Institute. JARAMILLO -- Yolanda Jaramillo, born May 3, 1966, went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on November 14, 2005. She is survived by her mother and father, Frank C. and Odellia Jaramillo; brother, Richard S. Jaramillo from Bernalillo; sister in law, Luz Jaramillo; and beloved nieces, Ana Luz and Marisol Jaramillo from Albuquerque, NM. She was preceded in death by her brother, Chris R. GUTIERREZ -- Virginia S. Gutierrez went home to be with the Lord on November 14, 2005 at the age of 64. She was born on August 14, 1941 in Albuquerque, NM. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Orlando Gutierrez; sons, Steve Gutierrez and wife, Valerie, Dave Gutierrez and wife, Judy, and Lawrence Gutierrez and wife, Carmen; daughters, Peggy Lopez and husband, Michael and Carolyn Amador and husband, Edward; brothers, Lenave Chavez and wife, Mary Ann, and Andy Chavez and wife, Yvonne; sisters, Gloria Lucero and Ernestine Sanchez and husband, Leroy; and her 11 grandchildren. Virginia will be deeply missed by all. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday morning at 9:00 a.m. at Shrine of St. Bernadette Church. Burial will follow at the San Isidro Cemetery in Sedillo, NM. LOVATO -- Avenicio Lovato Jr. went home to be with the Lord on November 14, 2005 at the age of 79. He was born on November 10, 1926 in Bernalillo, NM. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Virginia Lovato; sons, Michael Gallegos and wife, Ruby Chavez and Louis Lovato and Veronica Hernandez; daughter, Jeanette Gonzales and Eddie Gallegos; brothers, Henry Pineda and wife, Maria, Tony Lovato and wife, Helen, Eli Lovato and wife, Judy, Faustine Lovato and wife, Anita, Gilbert Lovato and wife, Elenor, Albert Lovato and wife, Ramona and Bobby Lovato and wife, Virginia; sisters, Sally Eiler, Gloria Hunt and husband, Frank, Frances Frank and husband, Ray, Sophie Fernandez and Emily Lovato; grandchildren, Dominic and Chantel, Ashley, Heaven, and Anthony; and great-grandchildren, Carlos and David. GILBERT HARVEY -- Jeanette Roxanne Gilbert Harvey, daughter of Col. Raymond H. Gilbert Jr. (deceased) and Gwendolyn Jones Gilbert, died October 16, 2005 of ovarian cancer. She was 53 years old. Jeanette graduated from Highland High School, ENMU, and received her degree in Medical Technology from UNM. She is survived by adopted daughter, Rachel Chuhua Gilbert Harvey, age 5, formerly of China; husband of one year, Steven Harvey; brother, Raymond H. Gilbert III and wife, Barbara; nephews and niece, Danny, Debbie, and Steven Gilbert. Jeanette spent three years working in Abu Dhabi before settling in Denver at St. Joseph's Hospital for the last 20 years. Jeanette enjoyed world travel, her lifelong dream of motherhood with daughter Rachel, and church activities.

CHAVEZ -- George E. Chavez, 67, was born in 1937 to Carlos and Maria Chavez in Santa Rosa, New Mexico where he grew up with his brothers's and sister. He shared a beautiful life of 45 years with his loving and dedicated wife, Priscilla D. Chavez. He is survived by a strong, loving family starting with his brother, Charles and wife, Stella, Alfonso and wife, Vessie, Avelino and wife, Carmen, Cecilia Padilla, Joe and wife, Isabel. George was a State open class Golden Glove Champion in 1958-1959. He was a dedicated public servant as an Albuquerque Firefighter, Patrolman First Class for the New Mexico State Police and Chairman of New Mexico Athletic Commission. George was a hard working and accomplished contractor who built his own business and home. He raised four children who will miss him dearly, George E. Chavez Jr. his first born and only son, Carla his first daughter and partner who built a business together, with her husband Mike, Silva, Marina, his big surprise and her husband, Chris Gutierrez, Crystal his baby and her husband, David Herrera. He was a hard worker all the way up to the end. He always made time for his grandchildren, whom he loved very much, Christopher Sosa, Jerome Ross, Brianna Chavez, Joseph Sanchez, Michael Jr., Juan Paul, Arianna, Alysha Silva, Antonio Gutierrez and Anjelica Herrera. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, whom he loved very much, and friends. He was preceded in death to now join Our Heavenly Father with his granddaughter, Kandice Chavez, brother-in-law, Gilbert Padilla, nephew, Paul Tafoya, his parents, Carlos and Maria Chavez, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Tony and Dora Sandoval. Mr. Chavez was a member of the Catholic Church. A visitation will be Friday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal SW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Final visitation will be Saturday morning from 8:30 a.m until 9:00 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church with Mass of the Resurrection to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. by Father John. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Dear George, you were a loving husband, dedicated father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend. We love you dearly and we will miss you. We know you are with Our Heavenly Father and we will be with you again. Love your family. Pallbearers will be Oscar Gomez, Ricardo Padilla, Jerome Chavez, Michael (Mikie) Silva, Juan Silva and Frank Medellin.
