FARLEY -- Jeffrey Farley, our beloved son, brother, godfather, and uncle Jeff, died unexpectantly, Thursday, September 16, 2004. He leaves behind a void that can never be filled. Jeff was born on September 20, 1957 in Albuquerque to Bob and Connie Farley. Caring, gentle, and generous, Jeff was always the one to take care of others, the first to volunteer to help, the first to lend a hand. Jeff loved music, art, tennis, and had become an avid golfer. By profession, he was involved in all aspects of operations of Concetta D Gallery. He was involved in photography, public relations, shipping and receiving, displaying of art, and framing. He was the right arm of Concetta D Gallery, and will be desperately missed. Jeff is survived by his parents, Bob and Connie Farley; his sister, Anne Farley; his two brothers, Marc and Bo Farley; his godchild, Aidan Dunn; nephew, Spencer Farley; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his 98 year-old grandfather, James DeSimone, residing in Chesapeake, VA. We send our kind and wonderful Jeff off with very heavy hearts. He will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives he touched. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, located at 6901 Wyoming NE. GENTRY -- Thomas Brian Gentry, 32, a resident of Albuquerque since 2001, died Friday, September 17, 2004. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Freeman Gentry; infant daughter, Williamina Maxine Gentry, both of Albuquerque; brother, Jay Gentry of Las Vegas, NV; sisters, Mary Conway of Mokena, IL, Deborah Thompson of Memphis, TN and Terese Burk of Downers Grove, IL; brothers, James Gentry of Memphis, TN and William Gentry of Long Beach, CA; parents, Joseph and Carol Gentry of Palm Desert, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Karen Carlisle and his pet, Rollins. Thomas was strong, silent and contemplative. He was a good son, a good brother, a good uncle, a good husband and a good father. Mina and Sarah brought great joy and happiness into his life. He will be missed by everyone he touched. PEREA -- Arsenio Perea, 80 passed away on Friday, September 17, 2004. He was called home to be with his beloved wife Rosemary of 43 years. He is proceeding in death by his wife, and parents Mr. and Mrs. Demetro Perea, and padrinos, Willie and Katy Trujillo. He has one surviving sister, Berna Martinez who resides in Dixon, NM. He is survived by one sister-in-law, Helen Yanni. and two brother-in-laws, Felix Trujillo, James Trujillo and wife, Alda from Colorado Springs, CO. Mr. Perea had one daughter, Cita and son-in-law, Ralph Anaya; one son, Mariano “Steve” Perea and former daughter-in-law, Prescilla Salazar. He had three grandchildren, Emily Werley, Jeanette Cuevas and husband, Adam and only grandson, Arsenio Anaya. He had three great-grandchildren, Julian Gallegos, Mariah Anaya, Adan Cuevas and expecting his fourth great-grandchild. Mr. Perea retired after thirty years of service from the city of Albuquerque, and enjoyed nineteen wonderful retired years doing what he liked best was his passion for gardening, and enjoyed his last year of gardening before he suffered from Heart Disease and Diabetes. A visitation will be held Monday September 20 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Salazar and Sons Mortuary, 400 3rd St. The rosary will follow at 7:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be held at the San Jose Church, 2110 Los Luceros Rd. on Tuesday September 21 at 10:00 a.m. Internment will follow at Mt. SUAREZ -- Jonathan M. Suarez, 24, of Albuquerque, NM, died Tuesday, September 14, 2004. He was born August 4, 1980 in Gallup, NM. Jonathan attended Gallup McKinley County Schools and Rancho Bernardo High in San Diego and graduated from Gallup High School in 1998. He was a senior at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, majoring in Political Science. He would have graduated in December, 2004. He was employed by Dion's Pizza in Albuquerque as an Assistant Manager. His hobbies included being with his family and friends, music, and talking politics. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, September 17, 2004, from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Rollie Mortuary, Gallup NM. A Rosary is scheduled for Friday, September 17, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. also at Rollie Mortuary, Gallup NM. Services will be held Saturday, September 18, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Cathedral Church, Gallup NM. Fr. Mike Vigil will be officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park, Gallup, on Saturday, September 18. KERSCHION -- Julie Kerschion of Sandia Park, NM, went home to her father Wednesday, September 1, 2004. She was born in Culver City, CA on November 12, 1936. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Louis E. Kerschion; stepchildren, Louis Richard Kerschion, Charmaine Ann Kerschion, and Guy Jon Kerschion; aunt, Lucille Brownlee; cousins, Byron Brownlee, James Miller, Ethyl Miller (formerly Batchelor), Grace Batchelor, Ben Tipke, Joy Tipke, and Linda (formerly) Tipke, all of Spokane, WA. She was preceded in death by her father, James Donald Reed; mother, Sunny Mary Fitch; sister, Sunny Rose; brother, Harry Reed; and Joy Reed. Julie began her career in nursing at Witworth College in Spokane, WA. She later moved to Los Angeles, CA and worked in banking at Lincoln Savings and Loan. She later moved to Albuquerque and became a real estate office secretary. She later became an engraver for a local trophy firm. Julie retired with her husband and became a published poet with three National Silver awards from the World of Poetry Press. Julie lived and loved in the East Mountain area of Albuquerque studying the bible daily and enjoying her dogs, cats, birds and all creation amidst spectacular mountain views in all directions. FISHER -- Mary Taylor Fisher was born in Silsbee, TX on February 8, 1920 to James and Caroline Taylor. She moved with her family to La Junta, CO in 1921 where her father, James Taylor, worked as a machinist for the A.T. & SF Rail Road. Mary graduated from La Junta High School in 1938. Shortly after that she married Bill Stafford and continued to live in La Junta where Bill worked for the Santa Fe. They moved to Raton in 1941 where they lived until 1954. Mary and Bill and their three children, Patricia (Pat), Margaret (Peggy), and William Jr. (Billy) then moved to Albuquerque. Mary was employed by the Kistler-Collister department store in Albuquerque for 23 years. She worked her way up from retail clerk to Department Head of the cosmetics department, the most exclusive department of fine cosmetics in the city. She enjoyed traveling to New York City and other locations for cosmetics schools and buying trips. She loved her job and loved helping women feel good about themselves. Mary attended St. Marks Episcopal Church in Albuquerque, where she lived for 48 years. After retiring from Kistler-Collister, she worked in numerous shops in Old Town including the Old Town Indian Trading Post and The Candle Shop. She loved the excitement, cultural diversity, Mexican food and the handicrafts of Old Town. She loved it so much she didn't retire until the age of 73. Mary was an accomplished artist and won first place for one of her paintings at the New Mexico State Fair. She was active in the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Eastern Star and volunteered for the New Mexico Museum of Natural History. She was also an accomplished cook who made fantastic Pecan Rolls. She loved to travel and enjoyed trips to Europe, Brazil, and Hawaii, and to visit her large family. She dearly loved the Albuquerque Zoo. Mary hated leaving her beloved Sandia Mountains, Old Town and New Mexican food, but due to health and other reasons, she moved to Littleton, CO in 2002. She remained there until her death on Sept. 2, 2004 from lung disease caused by rheumatoid arthritis. Mary is survived by her brother, Col. James Taylor X and wife, Charlotte of Hilton Head, SC; daughter, Pat Stafford of Littleton, CO; daughter, Peggy Hankinson and husband, George of Littleton, CO; and son, Bill Stafford, Jr. and wife, Laurie of Lake Montezuma, AZ. She has seven grandchildren, including Steve Jolly and wife, Bonnie of Bailey, CO, Tom Jolly and wife, Jeanette of Littleton, CO, Susanne Velarde and husband, Sean of Littleton, CO, Mark Hankinson of Denver, CO, Jennifer Hankinson of Littleton, CO, Zach Stafford and wife, Crystal of Prescott Valley, AZ, and Keli Stafford of Bend, OR. She also has eleven great-grandchildren. A beautiful Memorial Service was held at St. Gregory's Episcopal Church in Littleton on Thursday, September 9 at 3:00 p.m. with the Graveside Service held at the Fairview Cemetery in La Junta, CO at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 10. BACA -- Helen Marie Baca, 58, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away on September 11, 2004. She is survived by her husband, Michael J. Baca; daughter, Angela Romero and husband, Kevin; son, Jesse Chavez; daughter, Alice Romero and husband, Chris, all of Albuquerque; five grandchildren, Michael, Vanessa, Clarissa, Anjelica, and Destiny; one great-grandchild, Michael Moody, Jr.; mother, Lucy Duran; sister, Angela Bolagh and husband, Joe; brothers-in-law, Steven Baca and wife, Gabrielle, and Paul M.
