Jonathan M. Suarez, 24, of Albuquerque, NM, died Tuesday, September 14, 2004. He was born August 4, 1980 in Gallup, NM. Jonathan attended Gallup McKinley County Schools and Rancho Bernardo High in San Diego and graduated from Gallup High School in 1998. He was a senior at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, majoring in Political Science. He would have graduated in December, 2004. He was employed by Dion's Pizza in Albuquerque as an Assistant Manager. His hobbies included being with his family and friends, music, and talking politics. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, September 17, 2004, from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Rollie Mortuary, Gallup NM. A Rosary is scheduled for Friday, September 17, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. also at Rollie Mortuary, Gallup NM. Services will be held Saturday, September 18, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Cathedral Church, Gallup NM. Fr. Mike Vigil will be officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park, Gallup, on Saturday, September 18. Survivors include: mother, Mary Sanchez of Gallup, NM; father, Raymond Suarez of San Diego, CA; sisters, Brandi Rae Suarez of San Diego, CA, Danielle Suarez of El Central, CA, Michelle Suarez of Avondale, AZ; brother, Dr. Raymond Suarez and wife, Jeannette of Chicago, IL; grandfather, Billy Merrell of Sierra Vista, AZ; grandmother, Lupe Merrell of Sierra Vista, AZ; grandmother Cipri Sanchez of Gallup, NM; stepmother Ruth Suarez of San Diego, CA. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Teddy Sanchez and James Lidio Suarez. Pallbearers will be J.J. Espinosa, Jamie Espinosa, Brian Garcia, Lawrence Garcia, Nick Garcia, Brandon Mendoza, Weston Sanchez, and Chris Tellez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Adrian Angel, Fawaz Ayesh, Michael Baca, Russ Callender, Michael Crain, Nicholas Detorie, Michael Ferrari, Jayson Gomez, Noah Griego, John Lee, Brian McKinney, Christopher Pablo, Charles Padilla III, Vince Rangel, Sammy Rashid, Rick Saucedo, Ted Scoopmire, Charlie Vargas, Robert Wildey, and Maria Zigler.
