CAMMAROTA, BARBARA ANN Barbara Ann Cammarota (nee Menger), age 77, died on November 8, 2014. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 22, 1937 and was a resident of New Mexico since 1963. She first lived in Albuquerque for 26 years. Barbara moved to Peralta in 1990 where she was the owner of Past and Present Treasures, an antique shop that was housed in the Old Peralta School House. Barbara is survived by her brothers Thomas and John Menger; her daughters Dianne Spence, Gina Cammarota from Los Lunas; and son James Cammarota and daughter-in-law Debbie Cammarota from Port Orchard, WA. Barbara was the proud grandmother of Christy Barry and her husband Thomas Barry, Jesse and Justin Hanawalt, and James and Jessica Cammarota. She was the loving great-grandmother (Mamoo) of Sean and Nathan Barry, Kyren Cammarota and Jailynn Hathaway. Barbara was committed to her community and church. She was a kind and charitable soul, who gave willingly of her self to others. She was blessed with many friends including her best friend Frances Weeber whom she considered a sister. "We have been friends for 51 years. It's been an incredibly rewarding friendship that I will forever cherish," said Ms. Weeber. She was dedicated to her family near and far and enjoyed spending time with them. She also loved Elvis, loved to travel and spending time at the local Indian Reservations. DUDDING, DIANA M. Beloved mother and trusted friend, Diana M. Dudding, age 68, passed away November 6, 2014 after a year long battle with cancer. She was born in Franklin, WI and was a resident of Rio Rancho, NM for 40 years. She spent her life increasing the happiness of others through her words and her deeds. She was truly a child of God. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Cecilia Kranz; her sister, Ursula Heinz; two brothers, Alderich and Roger Kranz; and her husband, Richard Dudding. She is survived by her daughter and husband, Danielle and Ron Welch Sr.; her son and wife, Don "Krunch" and Karen Schmitz; three grandchildren: Ron Welch Jr., Desiree Adams and husband Alton Adams Jr., and Alison Schmitz; one great- grandchild, Estella Welch. FLAHERTY, ROBERT R. 10/10/34 - 11/7/14 Bob passed away Friday morning at Lovelace hospital. He is preceded in death by his mother Ruth Jemmott, his wife Susan and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his son John Flaherty and his son; daughter Kellie Casteel and husband John, their three children and one grandson, all from NM; son Bob Flaherty and wife Joanne and their five children from MA; daughter Darlene Therrien and husband Ken, their ten children and nine grandchildren from SC; three brothers; and five sisters. Services will be private and his ashes will be scattered over his beloved Alb. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, that you donate any items or time to a nursing home in your area.

KEY, JANE Jane Key, age 96, passed away Saturday, November 8, 2014. She was born in Madison, Indiana, the oldest daughter of Leota and Wilburn Mickel. She was delivered by her grandfather, Dr. George Denny. She grew up in Indiana and moved to Albuquerque in 1949 with her husband, Perry Key. Jane and her husband Perry were married for 76 years, and in all that time, they were rarely apart. They were long-time members of Trinity Methodist Church, as well as Life Members of the National and Chaparral Chapter of the Family Motor Coach Association. Together, with their family and friends, they traveled more than 150,000 miles in their motorhome, all over the United States. They visited every state except for Hawaii and Minnesota. Jane was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister, and one great-granddaughter. She is survived by her husband, Perry; and her four children: Perry Key and his wife, Connie, Paulette Allen and her husband, Jim, Sally Cawley and her husband, Paul, and Denny Key and his wife, Carol. She is also survived by one sister, Emy Lou Whalen; one brother, Joe Mickel; seven grandchildren; and ten great- grandchildren. Jane was a wonderful, quiet woman and a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. MAYER, EDWARD JOHN The world lost a great laugh and an even greater man with the passing of Edward John Mayer, 86, on November 9, 2014 in Albuquerque. Born in San Diego on August 15, 1928, he was a devoted member of the Catholic Church, an honorable veteran of the US Air Force, and a retired supervisor from the US Post Office, with 38 years of dedicated service. He leaves behind his wife, Isabel; his two daughters, Doreena and husband Ernest and Donna; seven grandchildren; sixteen great- grandchildren; and one great-great- granddaughter; as well as other family members and friends who loved and will miss him greatly. His loving family and endless friends can testify to the generosity of spirit with which he lived each day. Services will be held at Holy Family Parish, 562 Atrisco Drive SW. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at 7:00pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 14, 2014 at 10:00 am. MCCLURE, VELMA F. Velma F. McClure went to be with the Lord on November 6, 2014. She was born October 22nd, 1926 on the Turkey Track Ranch outside Dexter, New Mexico. Her father, Casey Jones, was a lawman, cow puncher and eventually retired from the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Her mother was Cleffie S. Jones. She is survived by her two sons, Capt. J. Craig McClure and Dr. Bruce McClure with his wife Peggy, of Albuquerque. Her grandchildren: Seth McClure and wife Beth, of Madison, Wisconsin and Capt. Gideon McClure and wife Cynthia of Cedar Park, Texas. Her four great-grandchildren: Gus, Maggie, Toby and Maisie. Her sister June Van Zant of El Paso, Texas and her brother Sgt. Bert Jones and wife Jeanene of Ft. Collins, Colorado as well as her sister-in-law Gail Jones of Rio Rancho. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col. J. C. McClure, and by her brothers, Petty Officer Ralph Jones and Lt. Dean Jones, NMSP. Velma grew up in the Tularosa Valley and started working at Deming Army Air Field in 1942 where she met her husband "Mac." She worked for various government agencies at Ft. Bliss, Ft. Wingate and as an administrative assistant with Dr. Clyde Tombaugh, discoverer of Pluto and Wernher Von Braun, one of the fathers of rocket science. Velma also worked for the Albuquerque Public Schools from the 1960's into the 1980's. Her best times, she would say, were spent as a military wife traveling the world. She earned her Bachelor's degree at the University of New Mexico in 1985. She loved sports and games of chance; she and Mac were nationally ranked Bridge players.Vel enjoyed her grandchildren and grand-dogs and loved being outdoors, especially if flowers were in bloom. Always the gracious hostess, she also gave as good as she got, and had true grit. A friend to anyone in need and quick to laugh, smile and enjoy a joke. She will be sorely missed by all who had the good fortune to know her and the honor to call her friend. Baptized in the Anglican faith at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church in 1954 where the circle of her earthly life will end with a service at 10am on Friday, November 14th, 2014 at the church, located at 601 Montano Rd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87107. She will then be laid to rest with her husband of 44 years at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe at a graveside service starting at 3pm. MELLOY, ROBERT E. "BOB" Age 91, died November 9, 2014. He is survived by his children, Pam Shumard, Joe Melloy and wife, Laura, Steve Melloy and wife, Anita, Nick Melloy and wife, Ann, Guy Melloy and wife, Penny, Dan Melloy and wife, Cathy, Michael Melloy and wife, Marianne; 20 grandchildren; 22 great- grandchildren; his brother, Charles and wife, Jean; and many other family and friends. Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 70 years, Celeste and his parents, Raymond and Christina Melloy. Bob and Celeste moved from Iowa in 1949 headed to Arizona. While traveling through Albuquerque, Bob fell in love with the neon lights on Central Avenue and never left. He was a gifted entrepreneaur. He sold cars and had service stations, until he and his brother, Charles formed Melloy Brothers Motor Company Inc. which includes numerous automobile franchises and independent used car dealerships state wide. Bob truly lived the American dream. He had great affection for the Albuquerque community and gave generously to both the community and the church. Bob still resided in the family home of 64 years until his death. The family would like to express a special thanks to his dedicated care givers, Therisa, Siniva, Geri, Priscilla, Stephanie, Beatrice and Jesse for their love and compassionate care for both Bob and Celeste. MILLER, BEVERLEY RUTH 1956-2014 Beverley Ruth Miller, resident of Rio Communities, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2014. Beverley was a bus driver for Los Lunas Schools for 25 years. She was also an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Belen. Beverley was an avid golfer and the former treasurer of WGA. Beverley is preceded in death by her mother, Esther Ruth; daughter, Ruth Virginia Miller; and father-in-law, Gerald J. Miller. She is survived by her husband, Paul Miller; son, Jacob Paul Miller; her father, Aubert C. Ruth and wife, Donnetta; sisters, Cathy Schweagler, Marjorie Welchan, Melody Clark, Besty Aeschliman; her grandson, Brandon Miller; mother-in-law, Louise Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews. PATTEN, CLARENCE C. (PAT) Born August 31, 1929 in El Reno, OK. His passing came Tuesday, November 11, 2014, at home after a long battle with Mesothelioma. He served his country during WWII in the Navy and was honorably discharged. He has been a resident of New Mexico since 1939. Married in 1952 to Veatrice McBee for 41 years until her passing in 1993. Pat was an accomplished Pilot and avid Outdoorsmen. He enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. He shared that enthusiasm with his family, friends, and everyone he came into contact with. He always had a great story to tell and provided his family with sound advice. He will be greatly, greatly missed. He is survived by his two sons, Robert and wife, Kathy, and William and wife, Teresa; his brother and sister-in-law, Billy Bob and Rose Patten; his fiancee Joan Collins; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three nephews; one niece, and nine grand-nephews and nieces. PICKERING, JOHN M. (JACK) John M. Pickering (Jack), age 98, passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 20, 2014 in Rio Rancho. Son of Maylin Joseph and Nell Pickering (nee Pontz). He was the beloved husband of the late Gudrun Gisela (Gundi) Pickering and brother of the late William B. Pickering and the late Emilie Brandhorst. He is survived by his sons David and Philip and by his grandchildren Bryan and Emmi. PROVO, EVA (BACA) passed away peacefully with her loving family at her side on Saturday, November 8, 2014, just one week shy of her 95th birthday. She was born in Socorro, New Mexico on November 15, 1919 to Horacio and Elvira (Chavez) Baca. She lived her early years in San Antonito, New Mexico with her mother at the home of her grandparents, Sorobabel and Tomasita (Padilla) Chavez until she graduated from Socorro High School. She lived briefly with the Hipolito and Veronica Armijo family in Socorro while working at the Socorro County Treasurers office. Upon her marriage to Jacob H. Zengerle, she moved to San Antonio N.M. where they started their family, three daughters, and operated Allair-McIntyre Store, inherited from Jacob's father, Frank. Eventually the family moved to Albuquerque where twin sons were born. The last seven years of her life were spent back in Socorro. Eva (Evi) was a devout Roman Catholic, a member of Saint Charles Borromeo Church for over fifty years. She sang in the parish spanish choir, and was a member of the Eucharistic League. She was also active at the Highland Senior Center where she was a member of the Folk Dancing Group, enjoyed painting and drawing and did regular exercise at Tom Young Spa. She also enjoyed world travel: visiting Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Egypt and the Holy Land, Greece, Turkey and the Greek Islands, Denmark and Russia, Mexico and Australia and New Zealand. Evi was preceded in death by her parents; Jacob H. Zengerle (father of her five children); Ned W. Provo, whom she later married; half-brother Horacio Baca Jr.; and her dear beloved daughter, Mary Rose Loretta Garcia. Evi is survived by her daughters Rosalind Zengerle and husband, Harold R. Udseth; son-in-law, Adolfo Garcia; Lina Aquino and husband Angelo; sons Frank A. and Jacob D. Zengerle. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Maria Garcia; Michael Garcia and wife, Denise Aranda; Melissa Garcia; Christopher Aquino; and Christy Sherman; four great grandchildren: Gabriel, Cecilia and Izabellah Aragon; and Kayla Phillips. Evi is also survived by half-brothers Adam and Arthur Baca and half-sisters Eloisa Wisniewiski, Paulita Berry and Ruth Aragon. A velodio (wake) will be held in the home of her daughter and son-in-law in Socorro on Thursday, November 13, 2014, beginning at 5:30 pm. The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday, November 14, 2014 at 9:00 am at the San Miguel Catholic Church with Father Andy Pavlak as Celebrant. RAY, TRAVIS Travis Alan Ray, age 26, died unexpectantly at home November 8, 2014. Travis left behind his heartbroken sister Mackenzie Ray and parents Daniel and Tracey Ray. Travis's big sister Tabitha was waiting to meet him on the other side. Travis was born August 30, 1988 in Albuquerque, NM. Travis was a free-spirit who loved his family and friends. He was a kind, loyal and gentle soul who smiled easily. He loved music and was an accomplished guitarist. Travis was a self-taught computer guru. He loved Taz, and the Ninja Turtles. Travis's recent goal was to study Addiction Counseling. He made his family laugh and we cannot be prouder to have had him by our side. Travis is survived by his pseudo-sisters Jillian Young, Jadyn McComb and Bridget Baker Ramos; pseudo-brother Brett Baker; his grandfather Paul McComb Jr. (who started the love of guitars and passed it down to Travis), grandmother Mary Ray; Aunts Twyla McComb, DeAnn Kauffman, Janis Kelton, Rosie McComb, Jessica Cayton, Melissa Damon, Michel Ray, Lorna Cannon and Monica Anderson; Uncles Roy McComb (who played guitars with him regularly), Mark McComb and Glen Ray; and too many cousins and friends to list. Travis was preceded in death by his beloved Granny Beverly McComb, Grandfather Charles Ray, his Aunt and second mom, Jamie Holt McComb and his very special cousin, who ALWAYS loved Travis best, Jody Young. ROEPKE, VIOLET ELVIRA age 95, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 7, 2014. She was born in Hibbing, MN on May 10, 1919 to Eiler Jensen and Edith Cook. Vi grew up in Ironwood, MI, where she helped in her family's dairy. After high school in Ironwood, she received a business degree from Marquette College. She met her husband, Myron Roepke, in the church choir in Lakeside Lutheran Church, Milwaukee, MI. They sang together in church choirs for 66 years before his death in 2004. Vi and Myron raised three sons, Craig, Kurt, and Karl. She is survived by three granddaughters, Kelly Roepke-Borth, Tara Roepke, and Tatiana Freundlich and a grandson, Kiel Roepke. She was great-grandmother to two great-granddaughters, Kayla and Rebecca, and to two great-grandsons, Ryan and Aaron. She served as president of the Cosmopolitan Women's Club and the Albuquerque Garden Club. Vi was very involved with many public service organizations. Among her favorites were the Carrie Tingley Childrens Hospital, and the Albuquerque Hearing and Speech Center. A Celebration of Vi's life will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 2:00 pm at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 9100 Menaul Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM. A reception will follow the service. SACCO, STEWART "STU" born September 5, 1957 in Kenosha, WI, succumbed to a heart condition on Thursday, October 23rd. Stewart was preceded in death by parents, Frank and Suzanne Sacco, and ex-wife Jennifer. He is survived by his son Aaron Sacco and girlfriend Shariah Hill; brothers Steve Sacco and wife Linda Petri, and Stacy Sacco and wife Dorothy Stermer; sister Sally Sacco and husband Greg Dorr, (all residents of Albuquerque); and step-sisters Carol Stewart and husband David, and Jean Gleim and husband Robert (whom reside in California) and their extended families. At an early age, Stewart was recognized for his prodigious musical talent as a percussionist, drummer and composer. As a professional musician he performed over 20 years as the House Drummer for the Legends in Concert show at the Imperial Palace in Las Vegas; toured with the global education program Up With People; and was the drummer for several celebrity road shows including David Cassidy, Rodney Dangerfield, Connie Francis, Clint Holmes, Gladys Knight, Penn & Teller and Kenny Rogers to name just a few. In 2002, Stewart moved back to Albuquerque and played drums with the top bands and musicians in New Mexico. Stewart will be remembered for his musical talents, amazing drum solos and his offbeat sense of humor (especially on stage). SENA, MARY JEAN age 75, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Saturday, November 8, 2014. Mrs. Sena was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Mrs. Sena is survived by her husband, of sixty years, Mike Sena; six children; Corrine Vigil, Theresa Rendon and husband, Lucas, Roseann Schraeder and husband, Michael, Gina Meyer and husband, Victor, Michelle Hamlin and husband, Brad, Michael Sena and wife, Valerie; her sister Helen Fava and husband, Art; brothers, Felix Pedroncelli and wife, MaryAnn, Sam Pedroncelli and wife, Patsy, Paul Pedroncelli, Frank Pedroncelli and partner, John, Arthur Pedroncelli and wife, Evelyn; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Sena was preceded in death by two grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 12, 2014 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church, 5901 St. Joseph Place NW. Final visitation will be Thursday, November 13, 2014 from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m., Monsignor Lambert Luna, presider. SISNEROS, RICHARD "RICKY" was born June 8, 1946 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at the Veterans Medical Center in Albuquerque. Ricky graduated from Valley High School Class of '65, was a lifelong UNM Lobo fan and LOYAL Dallas Cowboys fan. Ricky was an active member of Our lady of Guadalupe Parish where he was involved in the ACTS Community, Choir and Knights of Columbus. He proudly and honorably served in the US Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. As well, Ricky served in the Honor Guard for Post 13 and Post 69 and gratefully volunteered at the VA Medical Center for 20+ years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Lucy Sisneros. Ricky is survived by his beautiful wife of 48 years, Aldrina Sisneros; daughters, Renay Sisneros and Efrain Beltran, Carrie and Alfonso Rodriguez, Tammy and Charlie Meyer; sons, Michael and Leslie Sisneros and Ray Sisneros; grandchildren, Johnny and Mari Sisneros, Desiree and EJ Garcia, Marisa, Andrew and Noah Sisneros, Nicolas and Alyssa Meyer, Jacob Sisneros, Ethanee, Sophia and Emma Rodriguez; great-grandchildren, Neco Garcia and Adrian Sisneros; brothers, Bobby and Benny; sisters, Cathi Holquin and Rose Baca; as well as many other family members and dear friends who loved and will miss him greatly. Services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1860 Griegos Rd. NW. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 14, 2014 at 9:00 am. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith NE., with US Army Honors. SPERO, MARY KATHERINE Age 92, long-time resident of Albuquerque, NM, died peacefully in her home on Sunday, September 14, 2014. She is survived by her three children, Joanne "Maria" Spero of Durango, CO; Tom Spero and wife Lonnie of Albuquerque; and Judy Traeger and husband Ric of Albuquerque; her two granddaughters, Kristin and Meiling Traeger; and many nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Larry Spero, and all of her seven siblings. Mary was a devoted and faith-filled mother, with a bright mind and quick wit. She is greatly missed. Her family is grateful for her love and that she is free from pain and reunited with her loved ones and her Lord. Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco Dr. SW. SWITENDICK, ALFRED C. Age 83, peacefully passed away after a short illness on November 10, 2014. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Mildred Bittner; daughters, Lesley Switendick and husband Kevin Keilbach and Suzanne Gourlay and husband Garrett; step-sons, Thomas Bittner and Michael Bittner; grandchildren, Saiyora, DanQi, Miette, Callan, and William; and his first wife, Judith Evans. Al was born in Batavia, New York and received his PhD. from MIT in 1963 and was discharged from the United States Army at a 1st. Lt. in 1964. He then went on to work for and retired from Sandia Laboratories. Al and Mildred enjoyed years of traveling and spending time with their grandchildren. VIGIL, GUADALUPE Guadalupe Vigil, born in Puerto de Luna, NM on July 25, 1927 to Antonio Sandoval and Candida Sandoval-Maestas, died peacefully in her home Saturday, November 8, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Vivian Vigil and Rachel Cannon; sisters, Petra Lucero and Miquela Dodge; and two brothers, Jose and Eduardo Sandoval. She is survived by Juan Sandoval and his wife, Isabell; Jesus and his wife, Agueda; her sister, Victoria Line; two sons, Joseph Van Vigil and Vincent Vigil, and his wife, Teslin; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces. Guadalupe was a member of Queen of Heaven Parish for many years.
