Obituary for SWITENDICK

SWITENDICK, ALFRED C. Age 83, peacefully passed away after a short illness on November 10, 2014. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Mildred Bittner; daughters, Lesley Switendick and husband Kevin Keilbach and Suzanne Gourlay and husband Garrett; step-sons, Thomas Bittner and Michael Bittner; grandchildren, Saiyora, DanQi, Miette, Callan, and William; and his first wife, Judith Evans. Al was born in Batavia, New York and received his PhD. from MIT in 1963 and was discharged from the United States Army at a 1st. Lt. in 1964. He then went on to work for and retired from Sandia Laboratories. Al and Mildred enjoyed years of traveling and spending time with their grandchildren.
