SACCO, STEWART "STU" born September 5, 1957 in Kenosha, WI, succumbed to a heart condition on Thursday, October 23rd. Stewart was preceded in death by parents, Frank and Suzanne Sacco, and ex-wife Jennifer. He is survived by his son Aaron Sacco and girlfriend Shariah Hill; brothers Steve Sacco and wife Linda Petri, and Stacy Sacco and wife Dorothy Stermer; sister Sally Sacco and husband Greg Dorr, (all residents of Albuquerque); and step-sisters Carol Stewart and husband David, and Jean Gleim and husband Robert (whom reside in California) and their extended families. At an early age, Stewart was recognized for his prodigious musical talent as a percussionist, drummer and composer. As a professional musician he performed over 20 years as the House Drummer for the Legends in Concert show at the Imperial Palace in Las Vegas; toured with the global education program Up With People; and was the drummer for several celebrity road shows including David Cassidy, Rodney Dangerfield, Connie Francis, Clint Holmes, Gladys Knight, Penn & Teller and Kenny Rogers to name just a few. In 2002, Stewart moved back to Albuquerque and played drums with the top bands and musicians in New Mexico. Stewart will be remembered for his musical talents, amazing drum solos and his offbeat sense of humor (especially on stage). A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 2:00 pm, Sunday, November 23rd with a musical "jam session" to follow at Monte Vista Christian Church, 3501 Campus Blvd NE, 87106.
