MAYER, EDWARD JOHN The world lost a great laugh and an even greater man with the passing of Edward John Mayer, 86, on November 9, 2014 in Albuquerque. Born in San Diego on August 15, 1928, he was a devoted member of the Catholic Church, an honorable veteran of the US Air Force, and a retired supervisor from the US Post Office, with 38 years of dedicated service. He leaves behind his wife, Isabel; his two daughters, Doreena and husband Ernest and Donna; seven grandchildren; sixteen great- grandchildren; and one great-great- granddaughter; as well as other family members and friends who loved and will miss him greatly. His loving family and endless friends can testify to the generosity of spirit with which he lived each day. Services will be held at Holy Family Parish, 562 Atrisco Drive SW. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at 7:00pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 14, 2014 at 10:00 am.
