ORTEGA, LOUIS Was born on February 14, 1931 and passed away at home on Friday, June 7, 2013 at the age of 82, surrounded by his loving family and friends. A Native New Mexican and long time resident of ABQ., he served honorably in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. He will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. Louie is survived by his wife, Gloria Ortega; daughters, Loribeth LeCours and Sonia Starr; grandchildren, Sheila, April, Sean, David and Matthew; great grandchildren, Dominic, Maura, Gabriel and Joshua; friends, Manuel, Louie, Chui, Jessica, Louisa, Anthony, and Terry; as well as numerous other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. PADILLA, EUSTACIO age 89, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on June 14, 2013, at home with his loving family at his side. Mr. Padilla is survived by his children, Victor M. Padilla and wife, Pamela, Louise Kline, and Marguerite Padilla; sister, Isabel Kozlowski; brother, Edward Padilla; nine grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends at the Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Community. Mr. Padilla was preceded in death by his wife, Marcella; parents, Tranquilino and Eugenia Padilla; and his many brothers and sisters. Mr. Padilla was a member of the Catholic Church and a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during WW II. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 18, 2013 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna Rd. NW by Mrs. Martha Herrera. Final visitation will be Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at the Church from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m., Father Gene Gries, presider. PILCHER, THELMA JEAN of Albuquerque, NM, died May 26, 2013 in Littleton, CO. Thelma was born in Anthony, KS on April 11, 1921 to Albert and Dora Baird. She grew up in Anthony. After graduating from Anthony High School, Thelma moved to Wichita where she met her husband, Robert Pilcher. They were married in May of 1947. In 1958, the couple and their two young children moved to Albuquerque. Thelma worked as a secretary at Kirtland Air Force Base until she retired to become a full time homemaker. She was a devoted wife and mother who had an abundance of time and energy for her children's activities and their friends. Thelma and Robert traveled extensively after Robert's retirement, visiting all 50 states and dozens of foreign countries. Thelma was gentle and soft spoken. She was also tough and determined. Thelma was independent, hard-working and thrifty. She was also kind, considerate and generous. Thelma loved her family and her country very much, and she cherished her many friends. Thelma was truly one of the great ones from the Greatest Generation. Thelma was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Robert Bruce Pilcher; her parents; brothers, Guy, Ray and Fred Baird; and sisters, Grace Muir and Maxine Jones. She is survived by her children, Alanna Larsen (Dean) of Littleton, CO; and Mark Pilcher (Leslie) of Fallbrook, CA; grandchildren, Ashley Larsen Merritt (Jason) of Arvada, CO, Samantha and Brandon Pilcher of Chicago and San Diego, respectively; great-granddaughter, Linnea Merritt, of Arvada; and many nieces and nephews. Thelma will be interred next to Robert at the United States Military Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM in a private ceremony. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you honor Thelma's support for our veterans with gifts to the Wounded Warriors Project at: (WoundedWarriorsProject.org) or another veteran's support organization.

RIVERA, HEATHER ANDREA (ZAHN) Age 28 of El Paso, TX passed away June 13, 2013. Heather was born in Torrejon, Spain on March 1, 1985 to Donna and Reinhold Zahn. Heather graduated with honors from New Mexico Military Institute, Roswell, NM in 2003. Heather married her high school sweetheart, Edgar Rivera, on December 28, 2004. Heather was an entrepreneur, owner of the online business "Fluff of Enchantment" where she sold handmade cloth diapers and other FLUFFY stuff for your little ones. She was active in the community of natural parenting and touched the lives of many women seeking a natural birth process. She was active in the International Order of the Rainbow for girls and Job's Daughters in her early teenage years. Heather is survived by her husband, Edgar; their four children, Ethan Roswell (5), Harmony December (4), Haven Sahara (2) and Hazel Aspen (2 weeks); Mother and step-father, Donna and Eric Smith, of Albuquerque, NM; Father, Reinhold Zahn, of Albuquerque, NM; Sister and brother-in-law, Amanda and Matt Zahn, and soon to be born nephew Riley Davin of Rio Rancho, NM; Grandfather, William T. Beckett VIII, of Alamogordo, NM; Grandmother, Magdelena Zahn, of Los Lunas, NM; Great-Grandmother, Catherine Elizabeth Beckett, and Aunt Virginia Beckett of Deming, NM; Brother-and Sister-in-law, Jorge Sr. and Juana Rivera; nephew, Jorge Jr.; nieces, Roxana and Milagro, of Houston, TX; Sister-in-law, Ana Campos, of Houston, TX; and Brother-in-law, Julio Campos, of El Salvador.
