BENAVIDEZ, CONRADO J. 47, in Loving Memory and celebration of a life redeemed through Jesus Christ, Conrado James Benavidez Jr., known as "James" or "Papa" born on January 2, 1965 in ABQ., NM., born again by the blood of Jesus on October 5, 2011, and went home to meet his Lord and Savior on Monday, December 24, 2012. He was preceded in death by his daddy, Conrado Benavidez Sr.; grandparents, Silivano and Soleme Benavidez, Juan and Andrea Montoya and nephew, Augustine Reyes all of ABQ. He is survived by his loving wife and soul mate of twenty five years, Emilia or as her "Papa" called her his "Millybug" who together proved to the world two shall become one, until death do we part, really is possible; his loving and caring mom, Jean Benavidez; mother in law, Felicita Lucero, both of ABQ.; three sisters, Beverly Gurule and husband Ernest, Eva Benavidez and Margaret Romero, all of ABQ.; two brothers, Daniel R. Benavidez Sr. and wife Michelle, Lawrence Benavidez and wife Laurie, both of ABQ.; two brothers in law, George R. Lucero of PHX, AZ., Manuel Maldonado of ABQ.; sister in law, Maxine Vega and husband Pete of Denver, CO.; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and one great-great nephew, who he loved and prayed for; Church family, Potters House Christian Center, who he loved and was grateful for knowing; several aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and acquaintances. The family would like to thank Sol Amor Hospice for the care, compassion and dignity they showed Conrado. Special thanks to his nurses Amanda, Joshua and his favorite Jonaska. CELNIK, RABBI ISAAC HERBERT 71, a resident of Albuquerque since 1971, died Saturday, December 29, 2012. He is survived by his daughters, Cynthia Jill Celnik and husband, Chris Werner of Castle Rock, CO; Gitel Celnik; son Leib Celnik both of Louisville, CO; granddaughters Ava Werner and Lisa Streets; grandson Zachary Werner and Brad Streets; wife, Irene Sanchez of Albuquerque, NM; and a large, extended family. Rabbi Celnik was preceded in death by his daughter, Sherri Streets. He served as Congregation B'nai Israel's Rabbi for more than 30 years. Rabbi Celnik was a US Army Chaplain in the 1960's. Isaac was a visionary, pioneering efforts to bring many faiths together. Private family services will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery. CONNELL, REV. LEON 1926 - 2012 Rev. Leon Connell, civil servant, rancher, Minister with the Assemblies of God and family man, died at his home in Lemitar on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at the age of 86. He was preceded in death by his wife, Esther Inez Connell and a son, Garland Leslie Connell. Rev. Connell is survived by his daughter, Martha Dixon and husband, Wayne of Texarkana, TX, sons, Wendell and Bruce Connell of Lemitar, NM; grandchildren, Tammy Salman, Jody Dixon, Leslie Ann Vicente, Jason Connell, Callie Connell and Paige Connell. Also surviving are 13 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and a sister-in-law, Betty Davis. All services will be held at the Mountainair First Assembly of God on Wednesday, January 2, 2013, beginning with a viewing at 9:30 AM, followed by a funeral service at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at White Lake Cemetery in Gran Quivira. Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Edwards, Jody Dixon, Heath Connell, Jamie Moore, Rev. Brian Hubbard and Oral Connell. DANIELS, BILL T. born 2/9/66, died 12/25/12. A loving father, son, and brother, Bill is survived by his son, William C. Daniels, living in New Mexico; his father, Billy G. Daniels, of Albuquerque, NM; his sister and her husband, Teri and Travis Harris; and his niece and her husband, Myla and Bill Southard, all of Ponca City, OK; and numerous cousins. Bill was a computer expert and an accomplished artist. His family has been blessed by the art he so generously gifted them. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends. May you rest in peace as you join your mother, papaw, and other grandparents. Bill is to be cremated and a private memorial service was held at his father's residence and attended by family and close friends.

DAVIS, MARION HASKELL was born in Cold Springs, OK on June 21, 1934 and passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2012. He served in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Davis worked in Los Alamos for Zia Company and Los Alamos National Labs, retiring in 1985. He and his wife moved to Albuquerque in 1990. Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his parents, Forest and Viola Davis; his son in-law, Dan Kew. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Helen; brother, Don Davis; sister, Betty Lakey; daughters, Kimberly Kew, Pamela DiBenedetti and husband Frank, Melanie Virden and husband Russell; six grandchildren, Jerrod Kew and his wife Sara, Ashley Kew, Anthony DiBenedetti, Kaitlyn Orsburn, and her husband Brian, Dan Virden and Zachary Virden; three great-grandchildren, Drake Kew, Milee Kew and Tyler Orsburn. Services will be held at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. ABQ., on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at 1:00pm with Entombment to follow. DUFF, JACQUELIN "JACKIE" BROE Our beautiful wife and mother peacefully passed away on Dec. 29, 2012 at the age of 90 in her home in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was born on June 29, 1922 to Frank and Helen Broe of St. Louis, Missouri. Jackie grew up in St. Louis where, at the age of 20, she met a nice, young man who asked her out dancing on a riverboat stationed on the Mississippi River. From this day sprung an inspiring love story as the two married on April 15, 1944 and remained together happily ever after. Jackie and her husband worked and raised their family across the United States and Europe. At different points in her life Jackie worked as a Secretary to the County Commissioners in Maryland, the U.S. Arms Control Mission in Geneva and later in life she volunteered as a docent for the Albuquerque Museum. She was an avid reader and a passionate participant in the various Catholic communities where she lived. Once settled in Albuquerque, Jackie and Bob became two of the founding members of the Prince of Peace Parish. Jackie was sadly preceded in death by her brother Varley and her two beautiful grandchildren Elizabeth Ladino and Ryan Duff. She is survived by her devoted husband Robert Duff, Col. USAF (ret.) and their four children: The Reverend Michele (Duff) Rahhal, her husband Bill and their children - Robert Rahhal, Michael Rahhal and his wife KC Perry, Chris Rahhal and his wife Stacy Hill-Rahhal and their children Christian and Aliyah; Melissa (Duff) Zink, her husband Tom and their children - Geoff Shelton and Stacey Shelton-Zink; Robyn (Duff) Ladino, her husband Tony and their children - Marie Ladino, Joseph Ladino and Rebecca Ladino; Dennis Duff, his wife Linda and their children - Michael Duff, Lauren (Duff) Dodington, her husband Jim and their daughter Elsa. Jackie was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. The love she showered upon her family and friends will continue to brighten their lives and her spirit will live on through them. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 from 6:00 pm to 7:00pm, followed by a rosary at 7:00pm at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 12500 Carmel Avenue Northeast Albuquerque, NM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 9:00am, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. A graveside service will follow at 3:00pm at Guaje Pines Cemetery in Los Alamos, NM. ELLIS, GLADYS GENEVIEVE Was born March 28, 1923 in Liberty, Nebraska. She passed away peacefully, December 27, 2012 at the age of 89. Genevieve grew up in nearby Sterling and later moved to Lincoln, Nebraska. There, she worked as an executive secretary for the telephone company and a Red Cross nurses aide at Lincoln General Hospital. This is where she met, nursed and later married Harold O. Ellis. Genevieve dedicated her life to God, her husband and children. In 1960 the family moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico. She loved children so much, she devoted much of her time working in the "Mother's Day Out" program at church. Her children's friends and neighborhood children congregated at the Ellis home. She took them all under her wing and they loved Genevieve so much, to this day many of them still call her mom. She loved music, square dancing, travel, scrabble and Christmas. Genevieve is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Harold; her Children: Beth and her husband, Jim; Bob and his wife, Mary; Carol and her husband, Gil; Grandchildren: Claire, Scott and his wife, Britta, Holly and her husband, Michael and Alex; Great Grandchildren: Arianne and Noah. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, January 3,2013, 10:00 a.m. at: Asbury United Methodist Church 87112. HUSBAND, ELIZABETH E. age 96, died at her Rio Rancho home November 5th after a brief illness. Born in Pittsburgh, PA on October 13, 1916, she lived many years in NY and LA and moved to Rio Rancho in 1983. She was preceded in death by her sister, Carlotta Treleaven; her brother, Robert Husband; and her lifetime companion, Muriel Irvin. Survivors include her housekeeper of 30 years and devoted caregiver, Jean Orozo of Albuquerque; Carl Treleaven, nephew, and his wife, Lina, also a devoted caregiver, of Madeira Beach, FL; Bari Nazario, niece and devoted caregiver, of Felton, CA; Rick Husband, nephew of Dallas, TX; Jeff Husband, nephew of Henderson, NV; and Candye Nannini, niece of Wadsworth, IL. A graduate of U. of Rochester and U. of Southern California, she was a high school teacher in LA and magazine editor in NY. For many years she led the Rio Rancho Great Books Club. A memorial service will be held on March 16,2013 at 1 pm at Presbyterian Kaseman Hospital chapel, 8300 Constitution NE, Albuquerque. Interment will be at Forest Lawn in Los Angelese.
