MALAGON, LYDIA QUEZADA She was 64 years young, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2013. Lydia's desire was to touch the lives of others and plant a yearning desire for them to know and accept the salvation of Jesus Christ as a personal Savior. She especially enjoyed the fellowship of older people from whom she learned valuable lessons and working and teaching the young to whom she could share those lessons with. Born in Denver, Colorado her family moved to California in 1956. She graduated from Menaul High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1967. God placed her in the field of education where she taught in public elementary schools and eventually at Valley Christian School where she taught Bible, English, English Literature, World and American History, and Art for grades 7-12. An avid reader, she loved to travel and visited about half of the United States. Her goal in life was to be of service to others and her heart's desire was to have others see "Christ in me." She married John Malagon in June of 1968 and had 5 children: Michael, John, Eliseo (Ben), Sarah (Nena), and James. She has 10 grandchildren: Alexandria, Michael Anthony, Lauren, Alicia, Rey, John Anthony, Robert, Chantelle, Emily and Alaeya. She was preceded in death by her parents: Leslie Sr. and Virginia Quezada and her son Eliseo Benjamin Malagon.

MCKINNEY, MARY NELL LANCASTER Mary Nell died on June 14, 2013 at the grand old age of 90 in her home in Albuquerque NM, with family present. She was born August 18, 1922 in Albuquerque, NM and had one older sibling, Donald Lancaster. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, T. William McKinney. She is survived by sons, Jeff McKinney and his wife Cathy; Thomas W. McKinney and his wife Gail; Mark McKinney; Patrick McKinney and his wife Valerie; grandchildren, Jessica Shackelford and her husband David; Travis McKinney; Elizabeth Nunez and her husband Francisco; TJ McKinney; Alexandra McKinney; and Luke McKinney; great grandchildren, Sebastian and Sabrina Nunez. As a mother of four busy boys she was involved in PTAs, Cub Scouts, Little League, Babe Ruth and volunteered in fundraisers and served as room Mother. Her hobbies included cooking, baking, ceramics, fishing with her husband, and she established "Can't Be Home for Christmas" for the Albuquerque Fire Department. Lately, she enjoyed the Sanado Women's Club and her "Dutch Lunch Bunch" from the Cottonwood neighborhood where she resided. She was blessed with countless friends, some who've preceded her in death as well as some who now are left here, missing her. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, June 17, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at French Wyoming Chapel. PADILLA, EUSTACIO age 89, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on June 14, 2013, at home with his loving family at his side. Mr. Padilla is survived by his children, Victor M. Padilla and wife, Pamela, Louise Kline, and Marguerite Padilla; sister, Isabel Kozlowski; brother, Edward Padilla; nine grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends at the Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Community. Mr. Padilla was preceded in death by his wife, Marcella; parents, Tranquilino and Eugenia Padilla; and his many brothers and sisters. Mr. Padilla was a member of the Catholic Church and a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during WW II. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 18, 2013 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna Rd. NW by Mrs. Martha Herrera. Final visitation will be Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at the Church from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m., Father Gene Gries, presider. ADKINS, BILLY R. 1937-2013 Billy R. Adkins, age 75, a resident of Albuquerque and formerly of Belen and Los Lunas passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2013. He was born in Putnam, Oklahoma on August 25, 1937. Bill was an electrician who owned B & R Electric; and he loved playing baseball, guitar, camping, fishing, hunting, sports, and being with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arlo Adkins and Vera Henry; his twin daughters, Debra Jean and Donna Kay; and his longtime partner, Lorraine Chavez. BAUCOM, CLIFTON (CLIFF) of Liberty Hill, TX, died June 13, 2013 at the age of 78 years. Mr. Baucom was born February 7, 1935 in Denver, Colorado and graduated from Cheyenne High School in 1953. He was a 30-year Navy veteran, stationed at NAS Miramar, San Diego, CA, serving two tours in Vietnam aboard the USS Constellation. Mr. Baucom was an avid Ham Radio Operator (W6WBK) spending many hours talking to his buddies all over the country. He reconnected with his high school sweetheart, Sandra Smith, after both their spouses passed away. They married in May 2001 and Dad was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in September 2001, developing dementia in recent years, as well. The Baucom's lived in Edgewood, NM for several years before relocating to Texas in 2008. Surviving family members include wife Sandra Neeley Baucom (Liberty Hill, TX); daughters Christine Lang (Leander, TX), Sheryl Hausknecht (San Diego, CA) and Cathy VanBoening (Escondido, CA); step-son Tom Neeley (Florence, TX); granddaughter Chelsea Hakker (Greenland, NH); great-granddaughter Riley Hakker (Greenland, NH); and many members of Mr. Baucom's extended family, in California, Illinois, Indiana and Texas.
