ACOSTA -- RUDY Born in Douglas, Arizona on November 15, 1960. He past away on July 22, 2012 of a heart attack. He was preceded in death by his grandma Mary, grandma and grandpa Echeribel. His survivors: father Ruday Acosta; mother Esther Echeribel; partner Michael Harlan; his four legged kids Binky, Stars, Heather and Cody; sister Cheryl; brother-in-law Manuel; nephews Ryan, Nathan and Angelo; brother Richard; nephew Mateo; sister Felicia; brother-in-law Mario; niece Shiala; lots of aunts, uncles and cousins. Rudy graduated from Eldorado High School. He loved gardening and his pets as much as he loved his family. He was known for loving life, a great smile and a huge heart. He will be deeply missed by relatives and friends who loved and cherished his company. Services will be at New Beginnings Church on Friday, July 27, 2012, viewing 10:00am; service 11:00am; and food after. In lieu of flowers, family is requesting donations to New Beginnings Church.

ANDERSON -- ARTHUR MARTIN longtime resident of Tularosa, NM and beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many, passed away on July 19, 2012. He would have turned 90 on August 3. He was born in Ross, Minnesota and later grew up in Grand Forks, North Dakota where he attended school and joined the Army in 1941. He served four years in the military and saw action during World War II in Normandy, Northern France and Central Europe where he served as a communications lineman. He was awarded the bronze star and received an honorable discharge in September of 1945. In 1945 he married Patricia Dotson and they moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma for many years before moving to Albuquerque. His last employment was with Sears Roebuck where he designed kitchens and received several commendations for his outstanding sales in the Southwest region. Andy was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge and a long-time member of the Elks Lodges in Albuquerque and Alamogordo where he achieved the level of Exalted Ruler. His father and mother, Anton and Anna Anderson as well as his wife of 62 years, Patricia, preceded Andy in death. He is survived by his brother, Don Anderson (Jinny); his sister, Ruby Rylance; children: David and wife Jane of Santa Fe, NM, Kristi Crume of State College, PA, and Julie of Tularosa; grandchildren include Kim (Jeff) Gross, Jason (Catherine) Crume, and Kelli (Ryan) Luther; and great-grandchildren: Jordan, Riley and Hailey Gross, Logan, Hannah and Landon Luther, and Jackson Crume, all of Seattle, WA. Andy lived a long and varied life and was especially proud of his family. He was skilled in many areas of craftsmanship, but he loved woodworking and was known for making gifts for family members and taking on projects for various friends and acquaintances in his woodworking shop. A Memorial Service will be held on July 31 at 3:00 p.m. at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe where his remains and those of his wife will rest together. BACZEK -- HELEN LUCIA born November 22, 1921, went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 22, 2012. She is survived by children, Colleen McNamara and husband Gil Libby, Frank Baczek and wife Thane, Greg Baczek, Nancy Baczek and husband Paul Cheney, Mark Baczek, Tony Baczek and wife Charlene, Joanna Baczek, and Mary Reith and husband John; grandchildren, David Greenwood and wife Becky; Scott Baczek; David Baczek and wife, Annie; and Cris Baczek; Candis Cliffcorn and husband, Michael; Amanda Greenbank and husband, Eric; Eryn Baczek; Alison Frumkin; Daniel Frumkin; and Sean Baczek; three great-grandchildren, Sophia, Isabella and Claire; and many other family including her brother Floyd DelGrosso and wife Peggy, sister Grace Giordano and husband Sam and many friends. Mrs Baczek was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; her parents Costanzo and Lucia DelGrosso; brothers, Antonio, Danny, Larry, George and Tony; sisters Chelesta and Leah; and daughter-in-law, Janice Baczek. Helen loved her family and her Italian heritage. She enjoyed cooking and baking for large gatherings and charities. Nothing made her happier than to have family and friends gather for a meal. She loved all children and was always caring for babies and young children until she developed Alzheimer's disease after her 80th birthday. Frank and Helen were members and original founders of Holy Ghost Catholic Parish and loved to volunteer at Holy Ghost School and Church. A Memorial service and celebration of life will be Friday, 7:00 pm, July 27, 2012 at French, 10500 Lomas Blvd NE. BINGHAM -- WALLACE LAMONTE "MONTE" Born October 19, 1938, near Logan, Utah. Died July 16, 2012. A graduate of Utah State, his engineering career spanned nearly 50 years. Monte was a great father, friend, farmer, engineer. He was a mentor to many in the engineering community and always offered help to those that needed it. He enjoyed woodworking, computers and golfing, but not in that order. He is survived by his son Bradley Bingham and wife RoxAnne; daughter Dawn Castillo; grandchildren Josh Castillo, Brandi Vanstrom, Gwen McMeekin and Max McMeekin; two great-grandchildren-to-be; and 11 nieces and nephews. A celebration of his life will be held at a future date and location.

BOULTON -- WESLEY W. Age 63, passed away Monday, July 23, 2012. He was born June 9, 1949 in Fargo, ND to Gertrude and W. George Boulton. Wesley is survived by wife, Lenore; son, Shawn (Monica), Candor, NY.; brothers, Clayton (Marge), St. Cloud, MN., Wayne (Sandy) New Berlin, WI., Darrell (Sally) St. Cloud, MN.; many nieces, nephews and extended family. He was a devoted husband and father, nine year Veteran of the U.S. Navy, Aviation Electronics Technician, retired Telephone Company employee, past member of A.B.A.T.E. Mountain Chapter. Wes was an avid duck hunter, fisherman, golfer and motorcyclist, he will be greatly missed by his family and friends. CHAVEZ -- FRED JR. Born March 11, 1924 in Albuquerque and died July 25, 2012, he was 88 years old. Fred is survived by his wife, Carmen Rodriguez Chavez; his three children: Fred G. (Carol) Chavez, Vincent C. (Linda) Chavez, and Cynthia (Tom) Cordova. Also surviving are two "adopted" daughters: Irene (Hollis) Bond and Marie (Michael) Adkins. Surviving Fred is brother, Edwin (Mercie) Chavez. Fred was the proud grandfather of eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Fred is also survived by his Silva nephews and nieces along with more than one-hundred and fifty members of the Rodriguez "clan" who became Fred's immediate family the day he married Carmen. Fred loved people! Fred was very active in the community. One of Fred's first good deeds was to begin serving as a Scout Leader for St. Therese and MacArthur school scout troops; he served as a Precinct Leader for the Democratic Party and a Precinct Chairman of Police, Griegos area. He was very active at St. Therese, serving as an usher for over sixty years and liked ushering at the 12 o'clock masses. He served on the church's finance committee. He and Carmen received the St Francis of Assisi medal from Archbishop Michael Sheehan for their service to the community. Fred served as chairman of the Post 72 VFW Finance Board and on several frail elderly committees. Fred was an active member of the Fraternal Order of Police and he was a strong supporter of the Brother Matthias homeless efforts. Fred proudly served his country during W.W.II. He volunteered for the C.B. Construction Battalion and was stationed in Guam. He was discharged December of 1945. Having graduated from Browning Business School, Fred loved to work with mathematics. He worked at several different financial institutions, among them was the Fidelity National Bank, the Bank of New Mexico, the New Mexico Tax and Revenue department, and served on the Property Valuation Board for many years. Fred was the State Representative for the North Valley for eight years. He retired from the City in 1986. Fred enjoyed visiting with friends and neighbors, reading his paper, playing poker at the North Valley Senior Center, visiting the nearby casinos, and trading in land and real estate. He was also an avid collector of rare coins and other memorabilia. The Fred Chavez, Jr. family wishes to thank all their friends and relatives for their support and prayers during Fred's illness with special thanks to the Cordova Family; the staff and EMTs at the Fairwinds Retirement Center; Jesse Ybarra; the staff Caregivers at The Beehive Chessman; and health aide, Rebecca Herrera. DO -- XUYEN February 25, 1931- July 23, 2012 Wanting a better future for his young family, Xuyen Do moved his family to United States in 1975. He was a selfless man who put his family first, made many sacrifices and was dedicated to provide his family with a bright future. For most of his years in Albuquerque, he worked at Honeywell Inc. and put all his young children through college. His many friends remembered him as an honorable man and a generous and loyal friend. He will be remembered for his love, wonderful smile, great sense of humor, firm conviction and his zest for life. He is survived by his wife, Thuc Do; and a large family of nine adult children; 19 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. EDEN -- WALTER R. Age 86, passed away on Monday, July 23, 2012. He is survived by Myra Eden; their children: son, Lonnie Eden and his wife, Mary Ann of San Jose, IL; daughter, Judy Weddington of Albuquerque, NM; and daughter, Vicki Wilkinson and husband, Gary of Placitas, NM; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Richard (Barbara) Eden of MN and Larry Eden of MO. Walter was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Earl and Florence Opal Eden; and brothers, Charlie and Carl Eden. Walter served in the US Navy during WWII and later owned his own business, working as a Master Electrician. He was an avid football fan and enjoyed fishing, bowling, and camping with his family. He never missed a hunting season. Walter and Myra were in several square-dance clubs, where he also served as a caller. Walter will be dearly missed by his family and friends. GARCIA -- LUPE M. A resident of Gallup NM, of 30 years moved to Albuquerque in 1953 and became a life long resident. She went to be with the Lord on Monday July 23, 2012. Lupe is survived by her son-in-law Pete A. Nieto; brother, Pete Moreno (Lisa); 14 nephews and six nieces; grandchild, Peter Ray Nieto; great-grandchild, Demitri Joseph Nieto. She went to be with her children in heaven daughters, first Helene Frances and second Helene Frances Nieto; son, Tony (Fox) Garcia; brothers, Alex Moreno (Ema), Joe Moreno (Helen), Santos Moreno, Pete Moreno (Lisa); sisters, Andrea Lopez and husband, Jenny Smoletes and husband, Jessie Brino and husband. She was a homemaker, loved to go shopping with her daughter Helene. GARCIA -- LUPE V. age 72 of Jemez Springs, New Mexico, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, July 24, 2012. She was born on December 12, 1939 in San Ysidro, New Mexico to Felipe and Marianita C' de Baca. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Louis J. Garcia. Mrs. Garcia was a current member of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Jemez Spring, NM. Surviving are her daughters: Drusilla Layton and her husband Steve, Sharon Layton and Elaine Lewandowski and her husband Mike; her sons: Matthew Garcia and Keith Garcia and his wife Jennifer; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her brother: Philip C' de Baca; her sisters: Margaret Trujillo and Alberia C' de Baca; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. GASPARICH -- GERALD E. Age 83, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, died Tuesday, July 17, 2012. He is survived by his four children, Evelyn Turney and husband John of Albuquerque, Barbara Ginn and husband DeWayne of Scottsdale, AZ, Vince Gasparich and wife Karen of Albuquerque, Kevin Gasparich and wife Kelly of Snohomish, WA. He had ten grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Mr. Gasparich was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary. He was a previous member of the Elk's Club, Toastmasters, Notre Dame Sub-alumni and a longtime member of Annunciation Catholic Church. Jerry was born in Gallup, NM, graduated from Kansas St. University with a degree in architecture and moved to Albuquerque in 1955. He worked for the Bureau of Indian Affairs, designing and facilitating the building of schools and hospitals on reservations across the US. The Rosary will be recited on Friday, July 27, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. at French - University Chapel. HARDY -- ANTHONY JOSEPH "TONY" Born in Montebello, CA in 1958, now age 53, he was a longtime resident of Albuquerque since 1970. He went to be with our Lord on Sunday, July 22, 2012 at 6:00 a.m. He was so strong to endure the chemo, radiation, and surgery of pancreatic cancer since Easter Sunday, April 24, 2011. Tony won his battle, and is now free with no worries or pain. His passing was very calm and peaceful at our home, back into the Lord's home. He is survived by his loving wife, Zerina Hardy; parents, Fredrick and Alice Hardy, Baltazar Vigil, Richard Hammond; children, Nicholas Hardy (Sabrina), Danielle Bercier, April Bercier, Christopher Hardy and Nicolle Bercier; siblings, Ann and Harry Landis, Mary Hardy and Michael, Paul Hardy and Amy; numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren. JOHNSON -- MARILYN WYMER Age 54, of Albuquerque, joined our Father in Heaven on Tuesday, July 24, 2012. She was the beloved wife of Dean Johnson and cherished mother of two beautiful daughters, Kristen Johnson and Kelly Johnson and fiance Kristopher. She is also survived by her brother Joe Wymer of Houston, Texas and sister Jackie Wymer Messina of New Hampshire. She was preceded in death by her mother Diana Wymer and father Jack Wymer. Lynn was devoted to her family, church, and above all her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. KEEKER -- MAURICE ERWIN Age 76, of Albuquerque, died on July 24, 2012. He was born on September 6, 1935 in Ames, Iowa. Maury graduated from Ames High School in 1953 and received a BS in Engineering at Iowa State University in 1958. He married his wife Ann in 1957 and they lived together in the Midwest before relocating to Albuquerque in 2001. He worked for General Growth Properties for many years and was responsible for construction of large shopping centers throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. Maury enjoyed working in his garden, playing bridge and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Ann; daughters Elizabeth Till of Los Lunas and Sarah Wyckoff of Colorado Springs; grandchildren Charles and Andrew Till; sister Pamela Burnell; nieces Kathy Fisher and Julie Pike. Maury was preceded in death by his parents Erwin and Arlene Keeker; granddaughter Emily Till; brother Gary; sister Sharon Sanders; nephew Christopher Sticken. No services are scheduled. LEPORE -- LENORE Lenore was born in Abeyta, CO. on 8-8-1923. She was a beautiful person and touched the hearts of everyone she met. She had a smile for everyone and everyone loved her. She attended school until the 8th grade then she had to help with the family ranch. She started working at 18 yrs of age, at Libby's Canning Factory in Eurika, IL. Then became a waitress and bartender till she was 68. She loved her job and worked hard at everything she did. Our family moved to Albuquerque in 1962. Albuquerque was her home for 50 yrs. She went home to be with our Lord and all her family and friends that have gone before her on 7/21/12. Preceded in death by: mother Antonia; father Donicono; husband Joseph Lepore; daughter Yvonne; siblings: Beatrice, Mary, Pewe, Joe Sarah, Don, Ted, Albert and Pat. Survived by three of her children: son Don Lepore; Rita DeBary and Anthony LePore; nine grandchildren, D.J. MILLER -- RALPH TROY Age 93, a resident of Albuquerque since 1937, died July 20, 2012. He is survived by his children and spouses: Roy Miller of Farmington, NM; S. Troy Miller of Collegeville, PA; Jo Ann FitzPatrick of Alb. NM; R. Dan Miller and wife Carol of Las Vegas, NM; John Abbott and wife Cathy of Alb., NM. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his very special friend, Effie Chenowyth. Mr. Miller retired from Sandia National Labs in 1974. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved camping, hunting and fishing. He also was one of the early pioneers of the stock car racing community in Albuquerque. Services will take place at French's University Chapel at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, July 27, 2012. Interment will take place at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe at 3:00 p.m. Pallbearers are Troy Miller, Dan Miller, Roy Miller, Troy Callas, Strail Keyohara, and Richard McAvoy. RICE -- JOHN CHARLES John Rice, Jay or JC to his kin, was raised in rural areas of Arkansas including Dumas, Rover, Booneville, Yell and Desha counties. He was the eldest of seven born into a sharecropper's family. In the early 50's he moved to southern California for a career as a heavy equipment operator. He retired to Russellville, Arkansas in 1975. He loved to hunt and fish and had many good friends in the area. He was also an avid fan of the Weather channel and the Catfish "N". Born in 1925, John died on July 24, at the age of 86. His reception party included his mom and dad, Lottie and Porter Rice; his four brothers, Richard (RH), Bill (Tuff), Bob and Darrell; his first wife, Louise (Lou), of 25 years; his second wife, Marie, of 40 years; his eldest son Dwaine, and his only daughter Melody (Mel). Kin bidding him farewell are his sister, Sue; his son, Darryl; granddaughter, Jo, and great granddaughter, Hannah, all living out in New Mexico; his grandson, Jason and wife Brittany, living in Alaska. John will be greatly missed, except maybe by the deer, turkeys and fish in Arkansas. There will be no memorial service at his request. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service of Russellville, Arkansas.

SCOTT -- SHIRLEY ANN Age 78, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2012. She is survived by her children, Steven Ellis Scott of Albuquerque, NM, Donette Wagner of Albuquerque, NM, Dacia Scott Roberts and husband Rick of San Antonio, TX; and her sister, Donna Alexander of Clovis, NM. She has three grandchildren, Elizabeth and Ellis Roberts, Chad Wagner and wife Julie; and three great-grandchildren, Alexandria, Koen and Penelope Wagner. She was very fond of her extended family and friends and will be dearly missed. Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis; father, Travis Earhart; and mother, Clara Higgs. She was a graduate of Carlsbad High School and New Mexico A & M. She was a faithful Aggie. Shirley was a member of Central United Methodist Church and the Albuquerque Country Club where she enjoyed playing golf and bridge. Mrs. Scott was a retired elementary teacher with a love for students and teaching them to read. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 28, 2012, 3:00 pm at Central United Methodist Church, 201 University Blvd. NE. Private interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
