EDEN -- WALTER R. Age 86, passed away on Monday, July 23, 2012. He is survived by Myra Eden; their children: son, Lonnie Eden and his wife, Mary Ann of San Jose, IL; daughter, Judy Weddington of Albuquerque, NM; and daughter, Vicki Wilkinson and husband, Gary of Placitas, NM; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Richard (Barbara) Eden of MN and Larry Eden of MO. Walter was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Earl and Florence Opal Eden; and brothers, Charlie and Carl Eden. Walter served in the US Navy during WWII and later owned his own business, working as a Master Electrician. He was an avid football fan and enjoyed fishing, bowling, and camping with his family. He never missed a hunting season. Walter and Myra were in several square-dance clubs, where he also served as a caller. Walter will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Services will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 10:00 am at French-University Chapel. Interment, with military honors, will take place at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 924 Menaul NE.
