LUPE V. age 72 of Jemez Springs, New Mexico, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, July 24, 2012. She was born on December 12, 1939 in San Ysidro, New Mexico to Felipe and Marianita C' de Baca. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Louis J. Garcia. Mrs. Garcia was a current member of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Jemez Spring, NM. Surviving are her daughters: Drusilla Layton and her husband Steve, Sharon Layton and Elaine Lewandowski and her husband Mike; her sons: Matthew Garcia and Keith Garcia and his wife Jennifer; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her brother: Philip C' de Baca; her sisters: Margaret Trujillo and Alberia C' de Baca; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A Memorial Rosary Service will be recited at 8:30am on Saturday, July 28, 2012 followed by a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am at Mt. Calvary Cemetery Chapel, 1900 Edith Blvd. NE.
