KULA -- Lt. Col. Loren W. Kula, USAF Retired, passed away on September 16, 2010. He was born on September 23, 1932 in Oxford Junction, Iowa to Louis and Florence (Yale) Kula and graduated from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. He married Betty Golden in 1957, and they enjoyed a happy marriage for forty-four years until her death in 2001. A long-time resident of Albuquerque, he entered the Air Force as an aviation cadet in 1953 and retired in 1973. He flew reconnaissance, strategic, and tactical air missions in the United States and internationally, and combat missions in Vietnam. His many medals and commendations reflect his outstanding performance as a pilot and officer. Upon retiring from the military, he was a corporate pilot for Muller Construction and Rust Tractors. He also flew for the Air Ambulance service. He was an enthusiastic member of two barbershop singing groups: the New Mexichords and Duke City Technical Chorus. Loren is survived by his children, Mary Lea (married to Roy Lea) of Arizona, Connie Nowak of Ohio, Greg Kula of Albuquerque, and Lori Mehl (married to Ian Mehl) of Albuquerque; He is also survived by ten grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. His wife Betty; son Steve; and great-grandson Alex predeceased him. A funeral mass will be held at Church of the Risen Savior, 7701 Wyoming Blvd NE, at 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, September 21, 2010. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven cemetery. KYLE -- Willa Dene Kyle was born June 27, 1926, in Detroit, Michigan. She departed this life to be with her Lord on September 17, 2010. She is survived by her husband, Ross, to whom she was married 64 years; She is also survived by two daughters, Rhonda Lovato (Dr. Richard G. Lovato), Albuquerque, New Mexico and Beverly K. Higgason (Max E. Higgason), Corbin, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Kyle E. Higgason and wife Caroll, Cincinnati, Ohio, Erika Lovato, Denver, Colorado, Michael R. Higgason, Corbin Kentucky; She was the proud great-grandmother of great-grandchildren, Abby, Jackson, Caroline and Weston. She was a life long member of the Methodist Church, where she played the violin and sang. She also served her country during WWII by being a riveter and welder in the shipyards in Evansville, Indiana and Chicago, Illinois. She will be missed by all, her love for her family will be enduring. Services will be held on Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at 12:00 p.m., with visitation from 11:00 a.m., to service time, at French ~ Wyoming Chapel. Pallbearers are Michael Higgason, Kyle Higgason, Maxie Higgason, Carlos Gallegos, Larry Gutierrez and Randy Lovato; Honorary Pallbearers are the Goodwill Fellowship class at Grace on the Hill United Methodist Church. LADOUX -- Dorothy Lenoir (Kelly) LaDoux, or "Kelly" as she was more commonly known, and a long time resident of Albuquerque passed away at her home Saturday evening, September 11, 2010. She was born on March 27, 1924 at Minneota, Minnesota. She grew up on a farm near Cohasset, Minnesota and attended Grand Rapids High School in Grand Rapids, Minnesota graduating in the spring of 1942. After World War II, she married Wilfred J. (Frenchie) LaDoux of Marble, Minnesota in July 1946. Together they raised two children, Thomas and Debra. For most of her life she was a stay-at-home Mom but when the family moved to Albuquerque in October of 1970, she found work in a nursing home and in 1978 she decided to pursue a career in nursing. She enrolled at the University of Albuquerque and graduated in May 1980 at age 52. She worked at several local hospitals prior to her retirement. Kelly is survived by her son, Thomas D. LaDoux; daughter, Debra J. LaDoux; and granddaughter Kea M. LaDoux, all of Albuquerque. On Tuesday, September 21, 2010, at 10:00 a.m., the recitation of a rosary will precede a mass in her memory which will be offered at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church. LOCKEMER -- Dwight Lockemer, age 87, passed away Saturday, September 11, 2010 in Rio Rancho, NM. He was born in Gates Mills, Ohio to Dwight A. and Iva Post Lockemer. Dwight was a member of the Elks Lodge and a Jaycee Senator. He is survived by his wife, Lola Lockemer of Rio Rancho, NM; son, Douglas Lockemer and wife Melinda of Rio Rancho, NM; daughter, Karen Lockemer of Aurora, CO; granddaughter, Amy Lockemer; grandsons, Trevor Nielson, Cameron Lockemer, Collin Lockemer. MARTINEZ -- Mary Jane Martinez, 95, passed away September 17, 2010 at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband Gil Martinez Sr.; and her oldest son, Gil Martinez Jr. She is survived by her children: Fred and Theresa Martinez, Frank Bobby and Arlene Martinez, Maria Martinez and Chris Carpenter; Mary left a legacy of 12 grandchildren; 26 great-children; and eight great-great-children. A special thanks to Orlando and Lydia Romero, Julie Seibert, Yvonne Maestas, Jodie Leigh Seibert-Rael, Jason Gil Bear, Joylynn Martinez and the nurses and staff at Zia Hospice for their loving care in her final days. The Rosary will be recited Sunday at 7:00 p.m., September 19, 2010 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 833 Arizona SE, and the Mass will be celebrated Monday at 9:00 a.m., September 20, 2010 also at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church. MOFFETT -- Mount Taylor Moffett Jr, age 59, a resident of Belen, NM, passed away Monday, September 13, 2010 from prostate cancer. Taylor was preceded in death by his parents, Mt Taylor Moffett and Margia Moffett; and by his brother Eugene Moffett. Taylor is survived by his wife of 39 years, Dolores Moffett; his three daughters; Alesha and husband John Dillander, Lila and husband Lance Major, Aurora Moffett and husband Joe Sanchez; his son Zuriyel Moffett; his four grandchildren; Lithany Devontenno, Kameron Major, Dakota Sanchez and Adalya Dillander; his sister Hazel Chavez; his brother Arthur Moffett; and his uncle, who was a source of encouragement for him, Ben Moffett. Although unaffiliated with any religious beliefs, Taylor was a deeply spiritual man, who believed primarily in love and doing the right thing. He demonstrated this daily through acts of kindness and words of encouragement and guidance. After learning of his cancer he wanted to share these principles that he learned in life. Taylor wrote the book One Plus One. He said, "A fictional story. But I want people to know that our thoughts and feelings affect our lives before and after death. It's the Law of Attraction." We ask anyone wanting to give flowers, please opt for living plants. Since Taylor donated his body to science there will not be a burial. However, a gathering of family and friends will be held Sunday, September 26, 2010 from 12:00 - 5:00 p.m., at 103 East Aragon Road Belen NM.

MOLINA -- Alicia Olveda de Molina, 71, of Albuquerque, passed away on September 15, 2010. She was preceded in death by parents Jesus and Feliciana; brother Victor; and sister Josefina. She is survived by husband Domingo Molina; sons, Victor and wife Leticia, Luis and wife Isabel, and Jesus and wife Silvia, Daughters Silvia, Chavira and husband Oscar; brothers, Jose, Jorge, Humberto and Enrique; sisters, Hortencia, Dolores, and Maria de la Luz; and nine grandchildren. MONTOYA -- Sinforosa Ruiz Montoya passed away on Sept 14,2010. She was born Aug 5,1914 in Torreon, NM and was preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, Marcario Montoya. She is survived by her children, Prospero Montoya, Gilbert Montoya, Henry Montoya and wife Louise, Lourdes Garcia and husband Willie, Pauline Garcia, Rita Eberting and husband Darrell; and Mike Martinez Jr., who she raised, and wife, Pat. Sinforosa left a legacy of 23 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday, September 19, 2010 at 4:00 p.m., at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church and Catholic burial on Monday morning at 9:00 a.m. at the same location.
