Mount Taylor Moffett Jr, age 59, a resident of Belen, NM, passed away Monday, September 13, 2010 from prostate cancer. Taylor was preceded in death by his parents, Mt Taylor Moffett and Margia Moffett; and by his brother Eugene Moffett. Taylor is survived by his wife of 39 years, Dolores Moffett; his three daughters; Alesha and husband John Dillander, Lila and husband Lance Major, Aurora Moffett and husband Joe Sanchez; his son Zuriyel Moffett; his four grandchildren; Lithany Devontenno, Kameron Major, Dakota Sanchez and Adalya Dillander; his sister Hazel Chavez; his brother Arthur Moffett; and his uncle, who was a source of encouragement for him, Ben Moffett. Although unaffiliated with any religious beliefs, Taylor was a deeply spiritual man, who believed primarily in love and doing the right thing. He demonstrated this daily through acts of kindness and words of encouragement and guidance. After learning of his cancer he wanted to share these principles that he learned in life. Taylor wrote the book One Plus One. He said, "A fictional story. But I want people to know that our thoughts and feelings affect our lives before and after death. It's the Law of Attraction." We ask anyone wanting to give flowers, please opt for living plants. Since Taylor donated his body to science there will not be a burial. However, a gathering of family and friends will be held Sunday, September 26, 2010 from 12:00 - 5:00 p.m., at 103 East Aragon Road Belen NM.
