Obituary for LADOUX

Dorothy Lenoir (Kelly) LaDoux, or "Kelly" as she was more commonly known, and a long time resident of Albuquerque passed away at her home Saturday evening, September 11, 2010. She was born on March 27, 1924 at Minneota, Minnesota. She grew up on a farm near Cohasset, Minnesota and attended Grand Rapids High School in Grand Rapids, Minnesota graduating in the spring of 1942. After World War II, she married Wilfred J. (Frenchie) LaDoux of Marble, Minnesota in July 1946. Together they raised two children, Thomas and Debra. For most of her life she was a stay-at-home Mom but when the family moved to Albuquerque in October of 1970, she found work in a nursing home and in 1978 she decided to pursue a career in nursing. She enrolled at the University of Albuquerque and graduated in May 1980 at age 52. She worked at several local hospitals prior to her retirement. Kelly is survived by her son, Thomas D. LaDoux; daughter, Debra J. LaDoux; and granddaughter Kea M. LaDoux, all of Albuquerque. On Tuesday, September 21, 2010, at 10:00 a.m., the recitation of a rosary will precede a mass in her memory which will be offered at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church. Interment of her cremated remains will be next to her beloved husband of 64 years at the Gate of Heaven cemetery. Online condolences can be submitted at www.danielsfuneral.com.
