BOWERS -- Theron C. Bowers, Sr., the son of James and Vernella Bowers, passed away on December 3, 2010 after a lengthy illness. Theron, who was called "T.C." by his loved ones, was born on January 24, 1936 in St. Louis, Missouri. He grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas and attended elementary and high school in North Little Rock. At 18, he joined the Air Force and served on active duty from 1954-1967. While stationed at Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, Georgia he met his wife, Ava Marie Hardeman. They were married on March 7, 1959 and had a wonderful marriage lasting 51 years. T.C. worked at the Post Office and managed to raise three sons whom he provided with a good life and a Catholic education in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He also utilized the GI Bill to graduate from the University of Albuquerque in 1974 with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Subsequently, he attended the University of New Mexico and graduated from the School of Law in 1977. T.C. was also a licensed real estate broker for a number of years, working at Bowers and Associates, Real Estate Brokers. For a short time he worked for the IRS in Las Vegas, Nevada. He completed the Dale Carnegie course and later taught at the Dale Carnegie Institute. After active duty, T.C. stayed in the Air Force National Guard and retired as a Senior Master Sergeant after more than 34 years of service. He is survived by his wife Ava Marie Bowers; son Dr. Theron C. Bowers, Jr. and his wife Kay and their five children all of Houston, Texas; son Mark Bowers of Rio Rancho; and son Michael Bowers of Santa Fe; He is also survived by four sisters: Verna Mae Rolax of North Little Rock, Arkansas, Constance Dyer also of North Little Rock, Majoice Bowers of Goodlettsville, Tennessee and Fra Helen Bowers of Tulsa, Oklahoma; as well as a host of nieces and nephews and many other friends and family. A sister and two brothers preceded him in death: Lottie Bowers, James Bowers and Cololsees Bowers. His only daughter, Julie Marie Bowers, passed away in her infancy. Theron was a brother to all of his three brothers-in-law and five sisters-in-law. He was cared for since April by his brother-in-law, Larry Hardeman. The gifts at the funeral mass will be presented by sister-in-law Cheryl Jean Watkins, who was two years old when he married Ava, and Willie Hardeman, Jr., who was eight years old. A funeral mass in Albuquerque will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, December 10, 2010 at St. Joseph's Church on the Rio Grande located at 5901 St. Joseph Dr. NW, across from St. Pius High School. Viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Rosary and eulogy at 10:30. The burial ceremony will take place at the Santa Fe Veteran's Memorial Cemetery on Highway 599 at 2:30 p.m. Donations in Theron's name can be made to the African American Scholarship Fund at the Archdiocese of Santa Fe. CARRILLO -- Paul James "Jimmy" Carrillo, age 55, beloved brother, uncle, and friend completed his journey on earth and entered into eternal life on Saturday, December 4, 2010. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fructuoso and Barbarita Carrillo; and his beloved grandfather, Faustin Gonzales. CRAMER -- Richard (Rick) Cramer, 92, of Texarkana, Texas, died Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010, at his home. Mr. Cramer was born June 3, 1918, in Newark, N.J. He was retired owner of Open Mind bookstore, a member of Science of Mind Church and Gold Wing Road Riders Association, former president of Toastmasters Club and a World War II veteran. He was active in the Senior Centers in Albuquerque Survivors include one son, Richard Stark Cramer of Texarkana; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy and Paul Pace of Texarkana and Liz and Ben Juarez of Fort Worth, Texas; one sister Caroline Jean Albretsen of Columbus, Ohio; and five grandchildren, Byran Cochran of Irving, Texas, Hannah Cochran and Wendy Crowell of Texarkana and Timothy Juarez and Caleb Juarez of Fort Worth, three great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. DAVIS -- Lillie Sue Davis, 64, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother; a woman of unwavering strength, entered the kingdom of heaven at 1:05 a.m. on December 3, 2010. Lillie was born in Lauderdale County Mississippi on April 6, 1946. Lillie was preceded into heaven by her grandfather Richard Gowdy, daughter Janelle, grandmother Mittie Gowdy, sister Georgia Mae Ramsey-Brown, brother Lester Clyde Ramsey, and brother Robert Lee Gowdy. Lillie takes the greatest pride in raising her strong family whom she loves ever so dearly. She enjoys gospel music, taking long drives with her family to capture the beautiful sights of nature, family gatherings, special holidays, and bingo. Lillie has a true affinity for the finer things in life. She takes great comfort from church services, and has a deep and abiding love for the Lord. ESQUIBEL -- Eloisa Esquibel was born in Rio Lucio, NM on 10/7/1924 to Apolinar and Macedonia Rodriguez; she died peacefully at home on 12/4/2010 in Albuquerque, NM. She was preceded in death by her beloved son Gregorio; and grandson Andrew. Surviving children include Susie Trujillo (Joe S.), Sadie Hawkins (Tom), Michael Esquibel (Estella), Juan Esquibel (Evelyn), and Priscilla Sais (Valentin); She is survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; Her immediate family also included Derek, Kathleen, Sarah, and Shana Maes. Oralia was born in Questa, NM on October 28, 1928 to Fermin and Ursulita Herrera and married Michael Gaillour on July 22, 1950. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Gaillour; parents, Fermin and Ursulita Herrera; and sister, Mabel Trujillo, all of Questa, NM. She is survived by her daughter, Vivian Vigil (Chris) of Santa Fe, NM; daughter, Mavis Gaillour Miller (Douglas) of Coppell, TX; daughter, Christine Martinez (Walter) of Albuquerque, NM; daughter, Linda Myers (Pat) of Atlanta, GA; son, Michael E. Gaillour (Cindy) of Albuquerque, NM; daughter, Melissa Owen (James) of Santa Fe, NM; grandsons, Christopher M. GONZALES -- Frank E. Gonzales a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2010. Frank was born in Springer, NM on March 27, 1948. LOOS -- Sister Mary Patricia Loos 1939-2010 Felician Franciscan Sister Mary Patricia Ann Loos passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2010. Patricia Ann, the daughter of Vincent and Maureen Elizabeth O'Donnell Loos was born in Los Angeles, CA on July 11, 1939. Her family later moved to Covina, CA and Patricia attended Pomona Catholic High School, in neighboring Pomona, which was staffed by the Felician Sisters. Upon completion of high school Patricia entered the Felician Sisters Convent in Ponca City, OK on July 10, 1957, and received the name Mary Anthony at investiture. (She returned to her baptismal name in later years). Her career as an educator began in 1960 at St. Philip Neri School in Midwest City, OK. In the years that followed, sister taught in Catholic Schools in Birmingham, AL; San Antonio and Bremond, TX: and in Pomona, Claremont and Arcadia, CA. She served as principal at Holy Trinity School in Los Angeles, CA; Sacred Heart School in Pomona; and Annunciation School in Arcadia, CA. From 1999 - 2005 Sister Patricia served as local minister for the Sisters at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Provincial House in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. In her final years, sister served in various ministries in the Rio Rancho area including assistant to the provincial archivist, receptionist at the desk in the Clothing Room at St. Felix Pantry and as librarian at St Thomas Aquinas School. Sister Patricia will be remembered for her love of the Good Shepherd and for her own shepherd-like love of people. She always made time for others, offering encouragement, comfort and consolation. Her gift of story-telling will long be remembered by family and friends. She had a way of telling stories using her ancestral Irish wit so that a simple event became a hilarious adventure. Sister was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Cecilia Rose Hagerty and is survived by her sister Kathleen Forgette; and numerous nieces and nephews. MARQUEZ -- Crystal Marie Marquez, age 26, died suddenly on Monday, November 29, 2010 in Albuquerque, NM. She was born in Albuquerque and was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Rio Grande High School in 2003. She was active in sports and recently started boxing training. She was a Dallas Cowboys fan. She was preceded in death by her father Michael Mascarenas. MONTOYA -- Leonor Gallegos Montoya, 90, passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2010. Born to Petrita and Juan Gallegos, August 28, 1920, in Albuquerque, she is survived by her loving husband and lifelong partner of 66 years, Jose "Joe" Montoya, her daughters, Gloria O'Dowd and husband Ron, and Marie Baldonado and husband Jim. Also her four grandchildren, Darren O'Dowd, Tara O'Dowd, Yvonne Stubbs, Amanda Cimino and husband Jason, and three great grandchildren Aaron, Samuel and Hailey. She is also survived by her sisters in law, Amalia Gallegos and Victoria Chavez and many other family and friends. Leonor was preceded in death by her parents; her infant son "Joseph"; her sister, Virginia Garcia; and her brothers, Ismael Gallegos and Ernesto Gallegos. Raised in Torreon, NM where she met and married Joe in 1944 and also worked as the Post Mistress for the Torreon Post Office. They moved to Albuquerque in 1950 where she spent the rest of her long and fulfilling life. Leonor was an active member of Our Lady of the Assumption Church where she belonged to the Altar & Rosary Society and Legion of Mary. Her strong devotion to the Lord was reflected in her everyday living. One of Leonor's favorite traditions was to visit "El Santuario de Chimayo" as often as she could. She is greatly loved and will be dearly missed. NEVAREZ -- Tommy D. Nevarez Sr., 83, loving husband, father, grandfather and friend went home to be with our Lord and Savior Monday, December 6, 2010. Tommy was born in Silver City, NM on July 5, 1927. Tommy bravely served our Country in the United States Marines. Tommy loved his family and was dedicated member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. RANDLE -- George W. Randle, 87, born in O'Donnell, Texas, a resident of Placitas, New Mexico since 1960, died Monday, November 29, 2010. He is survived by his sons, Lawrence Randle of Woodacre, California, and Joe Randle and wife, Beth of Las Vegas, Nevada; and daughters, Diann Hay and husband, Elton of Mountain View, California, and Adrienne Randle Bond of Houston, Texas; and grandchildren, Joaquin Randle and wife, Bella of Hayward, California, Tim Casey and wife, Jennifer of San Jose, California, Sarah Bond of Houston, Texas, Robert Schodorf of Las Vegas, Nevada and Jarrett Randle of Las Vegas, Nevada; and great grandchildren, Besa Randle of Hayward, California, David and Mathew Casey of San Jose, California, and Payton Randle of Las Vegas, Nevada. George was preceded in death by his wife of sixty two years, Madeline Ethel Randle. A citizen soldier, George served as a combat infantry officer in the Second World War and the Korean Conflict. SALAZ -- Abel Salaz, Jr., age 88, beloved and devoted father and grandfather, was called to his heavenly home by the Lord, Friday, December 3, 2010. Abel was a life long resident of Cuba, NM. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eufelia Salaz; his daughter Marcelina Clayton; his parents, Abel, Sr. and Celestina; and all of his siblings. Abel is survived by his loving children, Camilla Ramsey and husband Charles, Reynaldo Salaz and Margie and Naomi Salaz-Jaramillo and husband Anthony; son-in-law Louis Clayton; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and other beloved family members. Abel was a man who genuinely loved people, he had a way of making everyone feel special, and was well loved by all in return. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Abel will be greatly missed by all. Visitations will take place on at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cuba, NM. A rosary will be recited at 8:00 p.m., on Wednesday. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., also at the Church in Cuba, NM. Interment will follow at Cuba Cemetery. SHARRAR -- M. Jane Sharrar, 83, died December 7, 2010. She is survived by her sons, Richard Sharrar of Clovis, Clifford Sharrar of Albuquerque and Kevin Sharrar and wife Deborah of Lamar, Colorado; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and many other family and friends. Mrs. Sharrar was preceded in death by her husband Leonard; her parents Frank and Mary Etzel; and several siblings. She was a manager of the University of New Mexico dining halls and was also housekeeping supervisor at the University of New Mexico Medical Center before retiring. THIES -- Virgie R. Thies, 86, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on December 7, 2010. WILLIAMS -- Nancy Breniser Williams passed away on December 6, 2010. She was born January 8, 1921 in Ligonier, Pennsylvania to Hargnett and Nancy Breniser. Nancy is survived by her husband, JK Williams; son, Curt P. Munson Jr.; granddaughters, Nancy Elizabeth and Amanda; three great- grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her first husband Curt P. Munson Sr.. Nancy had a BA degree in costume design from Parson School of Design in NYC. Her first career was in banking in NJ where she was a bank manager for many years. She moved to NM in 1970 and began volunteering at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center as a docent. Her second career focused on her interest and love of Indian arts. She was a talented artist in her own right. Nancy was a skilled equestrian and loved riding adventures with her horse, Cameo. She could also be found square dancing many evenings with her beloved partner JK. Nancy was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Albuquerque, for nearly 40 years. Services will be Thursday, December 09, 2010 at 3:00 PM at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Wyoming Chapel.
