BEAUDETTE -- Veronica Meagher Beaudette, 93, passed away peacefully at home, June 6, 2010. Veronica is survived by sisters, Patricia Bently, Petersburg, NY, Genevieve Gaefka, Eagle Bridge, NY, Robert Meagher of Daytona Beach, FL; her eight children Peter T. Beaudette, Robert Beaudette, James Beaudette, Mary Beaudette, Barbara Beaudette Murphy, John Beaudette, Teresa Beaudette Tesch, and Michael Beaudette; 14 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren. All who loved and will miss her greatly. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Paul Beaudette; parents, Matthew and Johanna Meagher; other siblings; granddaughter Hannah Tesch . Her father was a great influence in Veronica's life. In 1913 he was drafted by the and played for the Boston Red Sox as catcher, while at the same time attending Tufts Dental School, he was also an Irish tenor who sang professionally on the radio. He encouraged her to pursue her education and love of music. She went on to obtain her Optometric degree from the New England School of Optometry in 1938, After her husbands military service in WWII they moved from Vermont to Albuquerque where he joined the Lovelace clinic then moved to Raton, New Mexico to raise her family and practiced with her husband, an Ophthalmologist, for many years. She soon embraced New Mexico and its culture. She studied Southwest Archeology and culture and shared this knowledge with her children both on location and imparting information. She was docent at the Indian Culture Center for some time. While working full-time she never missed cooking a full meal of rib sticking foods for eight children. She loved cooking for special events, specializing in pastries. Thanksgiving was like none other. She still managed to never miss a musical event, baseball game or football game of her kids, avidly read non-fiction, and traveled throughout the world. Her favorite trips were to Ireland, the land of her heritage. She was Irish through and through. While living in Albuquerque, she helped to found Casa De Refugio, a home for mentally disabled adults. A dignified and respected woman, she was close to her faith and her children. She frequently opened her home to those in need. Other interests were the opera, antiques and she loved to garden, especially growing roses. The family would like to thank Jane Tidmore for her love and support during Veronica's final years and Molly Lucero her best friend for over 50 years and confidant who shared an interest in traveling and hunting for antiques, and was there by her side to help her in her last days. Rosary will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church 9502 Fourth Street NW, Albuquerque, NM. On Friday, June 18, 2010 services will be held at 9:00 a.m. at the same location. Services will then be held in Raton on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. BRYANT -- Carol Ann Bryant, 73, loving wife, daughter, sister, grandmother, passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2010. Carol was born December 16, 1936 in Prescott, AZ to Robert and Mary Robbins, both deceased. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Robert Hamilton Bryant; daughter, Lisa Kristine Sykes and husband, James Sykes and grandson Dustin Heckroth; daughter, Kim Marie Cheshire, grandsons, Ryan and Tyler Cheshire and granddaughter, Cali Cheshire; two sisters, Susan and husband, Dale Robertson, Nancy and husband, Tim Sullivan, niece, Kelly and Steve Sanders and their children, nephew Casey Sullivan, sister-in-law, Marythelma Brainard, niece, Renee and husband, Ned Gentz and their two children Seamus, and Graham, nephew, Robert and wife Lisa Brainard and their two children, Alison and Jessie and nephew James Brainard and Myriads of family and friends here in Albuquerque as well as Prescott, AZ. Carol graduated from Highland High school in 1954 where she was cheerleader, then UNM where she was a cheerleader and a member of Alpha Chi Omega. She flew for American Airlines for two years, until she married, then she was a sales representative for them for another two years. Her biggest and latest accomplishment has been as a professional artist exhibiting in the Yucca Gallery in Old Town, she is a member of Watercolor Society of NM, SLMM, Pen women, Friday Painters at the Unitarian Church and Carol is the featured artist in the 2010 New Mexico Arts and Crafts Show, her booth will be manned by family and friends. CAMPA -- Debra Campa, loving wife, daughter, mother and sister, age 49, passed away, Friday June 11, 2010 at her home in Alcalde of natural causes resulting from long term illness. Debra was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico and raised in the Espanola Valley. Graduating from Pojoaque High School in 1980, and attended college in Greeley, Colorado. In 1982, she followed in her fathers foot steps and became a security guard with Mason and Hanger for Los Alamos National Labs in Los Alamos, New Mexico. In the years to follow she worked for Cray Research and IBM. She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence U. Finley; brother, Dr. David Finley; sister, Rebecca Lyn Finley. She is survived by her husband, James Campa; daughter, Elizabeth J. Finley of Los Lunas; mother, Betty J. Finley of Arroyo Seco. sister, Marsha Fralick of San Diego, Calif.; brothers, Darryl Finley of Albuquerque, Clarence (Dee) Finley of San Diego, Richard Finley of Albuquerque, Donald Finley of Espanola; and sister, Shiela Gentry of Arroyo Seco and extended relatives. DUBBS -- Clyde Mitchell Dubbs. Clyde Mitchell Dubbs, born October 21, 1933, passed away unexpectedly at home on June 11, 2010. He was preceded in death by his parents Strow and Clesta Mitchell Dubbs, brother Walter (Jack) Barton and sister Clesta Mae Banes. He is survived by his daughters, Beth LeVane (Tim) of Loveland, CO and Meg Burdette (David) of McKinney, TX, brothers Strow of San Antonio, TX and Donald Keith (Betty) of Mineola, TX and sisters Dorothy Townsend of Yuma, AZ, Nancy Greeley of Grand Terrace, CA and Beverly Lee (Jim) of Cape Fair, MO. Clyde was loved by his family, friends, students, neighbors and cats. He was a Korean War era veteran, cyclist and retired Professor Emeritus of Mathematics at The New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, where he taught for 32 years. He is best remembered by his former students for his trademark "vandyke" beard and his personable teaching style. In his own words, "My goal was to generate an enthusiasm for learning in my students. I tried to show them where the value lies in what they're studying and where the joy is in it as well." GALLEGOS -- Guadalupe Gallegos, 93, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 surrounded by her loved ones. GARCIA -- Antonio Garcia Born May 10, 1925 beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather passed into the loving arms of Our Lord on June 11. He was preceded in death by his parents Francisco and Julianita Garcia; In-laws Basilio and Miquelita Anaya; siblings Julio (Grande) Garcia, Inez Garcia, Ramona Fischer, Soledad Moya, and Dorothy Garcia. Antonio is survived by his loving wife, Isabelle, children; Sylvia Burns and husband Norman, Henry Garcia, M.D. and wife Christine, Paul Garcia and wife Helen, Marie Garcia and husband Sam, Gerald Garcia, John Garcia and wife Marisol Esq. Antonio proudly served as a US Marine during WWII. He worked as a machinist at Sandia Labs for 36 years until his retirement in 1985. GHERARDI -- Mary (Bandoni) Gherardi passed away on June 15, 2010 after suffering from progressive Alzheimer's disease the past two years. Mary was born in Albuquerque on June 26, 1922 and was preceded in death by her husband James Gherardi. A "city" girl, she became the ultimate farm wife; feeding rabbits, chickens and cows, working long hours sorting asparagus, hoeing the garden, driving the tractor when needed, but especially making great Italian farm meals. She will long be remembered for her roasts and pasta. Mary had a deep faith and was a long time member of the Ascension Parish "Altar Society"; she also was a member of the Lay Canossian Sisters of Casa Angelica and taught religion classes to grade school children for over forty years. Mary loved butterflies and used them as an analogy of her faith. She would explain that on earth we are like the lowly caterpillar, confined to the ground. In death we enter our cocoon, only to spring forth into a new and glorious life in heaven ever more beautiful and able to fly and float without restrictions of this earth. We are sure she is one of the most beautiful butterflies ever! Mary was also preceded in death by her sister Anita Eskra; and her brother Joseph "Beppe" Bandoni. She is survived by her brothers, Frank Bandoni and Tony Bandoni and wife Barbara; Her children, Kathryn Esquibel and husband Jose', Jeanette Torres and husband John, Robert Gherardi and wife Nancy, and Rosemary Scott and husband Ray; she had ten grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren which she dearly loved. KELIIAA -- Lenora S. Keliiaa, born on April 8, 1922 in Proctor, Oklahoma to Pearl and Thomas J. Scott, passed peacefully in her sleep on June 16th, 2010 in Albuquerque, NM. She graduated from the Chilocco Indian School and the Haskell Commercial Program. Married to John B. Keliiaa, they moved from Washington D.C. to New Mexico in 1950 and lived in Gallup, Dulce and Albuquerque. Lenora retired from the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Her humor and keen appreciation of life was captured in her award winning poems and photographs. Lenora was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and is survived by her children Gloria Keliiaa, John T. Keliiaa, Cassie Keliiaa, Curtis Keliiaa/fiancee Carolyn Rivera; grandchildren David Kupsick, Sara Duquette/husband Andre, Cody Keliiaa and John C. Keliiaa and great grandchildren Christopher D. Kupsick, April Kupsick, Dakota Kupsick, Sierra Kupsick, Arielle Duquette and Olivia Duquette. Lenora is also survived by sisters Jennie Mae Letham, Alice Crawford, brothers Owen Scott, Charles Scott and Sam Scott. She is predeceased by her husband, John B. Keliiaa, parents Pearl and Thomas J. LOMBANA -- Sherry Anderson Lombana, 61, passed away on June 14, 2010, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Cesar; her children Jacqueline Bunkley and husband, Ken of Albuquerque, Sandra Lindquist and husband, Eric of New Orleans, and Philip Lombana of Denver; her grandchildren, Amanda and Christopher Bunkley; her sister, Kay Maize and husband, Steve of Albuquerque and their children Keirschen and Landon. Sherry was born in Clovis, NM and grew up in Albuquerque, graduating from Highland High School in 1967. She earned a BA degree in journalism from the University of Oklahoma, and she then moved to Dallas and worked for the Society of Petroleum Engineers as a Communications and Public Relations Manager for four years. For the next fifteen years she ran her own public relations and advertising agency from home in order to spend time with her family members and their activities. From 1993 to 2008, she was a CRADA Analyst working for Sandia Labs. Sherry was a talented decorator and was often teased about having turned her home into a "folk art museum" with her many projects and collections. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Sherry will be remembered for her dedication to family, her faith and strength, her sense of humor, her pleasure in traveling, her love of New Mexico, and the enjoyment she found in celebrating holidays. LUKS -- Andy W. Luks, age 69, passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2010, in a tragic vehicle accident on Hwy 285, north of Artesia, NM. He lived in Albuquerque, NM for ten years and prior to that lived in Las Cruces, NM. Andy proudly served his country in the United States in the Army Special Forces as a medic. He was a bodyguard whose clients included Elvis Presley. Andy had been Sergeant at Arms for Post Number 99 American Legion in Albuquerque. Andy is survived by his loving wife, Linda Luks of Albuquerque; and Linda's sister and her husband, Sandy Schauer and Bob Anderson of Los Lunas, NM. MCCAMEY -- Raymond E. ("Ray") McCamey. On June 15, 2010, at age 70, Ray passed away at VistaCare inpatient Hospice after a long battle with lung cancer. The youngest of eight children, Ray grew up in Albuquerque, graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1958, married Mary Jane Teel in 1964 and had one daughter, Lori M. Bencoe. Ray enjoyed a long career in the commercial vehicle sales and service industry, first with Cummins Rio Grande (1958-1980's), and most recently as a salesman of International buses and trucks at Roberts Truck Center. He enjoyed his family, cars, trucks and the trucking business, fishing, home projects and the outdoors - especially driving around New Mexico. Ray had a fun, dry sense of humor and a generous heart, always wanting to help others when he could share his time and abilities. Ray is survived by his wife of 46 years, Mary Jane and by his daughter Lori Bencoe and husband Dave Bencoe, and grandson Troy (age 8). He is also survived by his sister Jackie Fritz and husband Lonnie; sister Billie Goodwin; sister Shirley Stott, and numerous extended family members. He was predeceased by brothers, Nelson McCamey and John McCamey and sisters, Geneva Higgins, Blanche Brown, and parents, Bill and Pearl McCamey, also of Albuquerque. His family gives a special thanks to Dennie Jones MD, his Oncologist; Lara Barkoff MD, his Internist; Gerard Muraida, MD, his Hospice Physician, and the nurses and therapists who cared so closely for his needs. He is survived by his daughter Jennie Monet of Buffalo, NY; and son Josh Monette of Belcourt, ND; sisters, Donna Monette, Patricia Riordan and husband Mike, Martha Monette, Anne Monette, Carol Monette all of Albuquerque; brothers, Neil and wife Louanne, Kenneth and wife Irmela of Albuq. and John of Phoenix, AZ.; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Emma Monette. After graduating from Manzano High School, David went on to serve in the US Navy. He later worked for Alpha Omega Dental Labs. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Medical ICU at UNM Hospital for the wonderful care provided for David. There will be a rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at Riverside Funeral Home, 225 San Maeto Blvd., NE 764-9663 and Mass on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. at San Felipe Catholic Church in Old Town. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:30 a.m.

OMDAHL -- Dorothy Omdahl, passed away on Monday, June 14, 2010 at the age of 94. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Jettie Omdahl; grandchildren Jackee Hamp, Jay and Joel Omdahl; nine great-grandchildren; and brother Dick Thomas. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Omdahl, sons Jack and Ron Omdahl; and grandson Jeffrey Omdahl. Dorothy was born in Centerville, IA, lived in several areas across the US, and resided the last five years in Albuquerque. PIATT-GUTIERREZ -- Sophia Love Piatt-Gutierrez of Albuquerque, was born Friday, June 4, 2010. She entered heaven on the same day. She is survived by her parents, Diane Piatt and Justin Gutierrez; great-grandparents; grandparents; aunts; uncles; cousins; and friends. RUSSELL -- Tom E. Russell, born December 31, 1927 in Farmington, NM passed away in Edgewood, NM on Monday, June 15, 2010 at the age of 82. He is survived by his loving wife of 53, years, Jeanie Russell; sons, Mark Russell and wife, Michelle, Gary Russell and wife, Trish, and Monte; daughter, Kathy Adams and husband, Steve; grandsons, Markus and Jared Russell; granddaughters, Marina, Erin, and Dominique Russell; as well as many other family and friends who loved and will miss him. Tom was a member of the Merchant Marines at the age of 16 and then served honorably in the US Army. He was a constabulary in Germany and retired from the University of New Mexico. He was also a member of Calvary Chapel East Mountain. Tom loved his family, and his grandchildren were the light of his life. Services will be held in Calvary Chapel East Mountain, 379 State Rd 344, Edgewood, NM (286-4727 for directions) on Friday, June 18, 2010. SLEMP -- Erika V., of Rio Rancho, died Tuesday, June 15, 2010, after a difficult struggle with colon cancer. She was born in Zweibrucken, Germany on May 5, 1942 to August and Paula Tretter. She is survived by her son Larry and wife Mary and their children Melissa and Matthew; her son Steve; her sister Elisabeth Schdler; her sister Irmgard Gleich; her brother Egidius Tretter and companion Monika Fickinger; her sister Johanna Holzer; her brother Gnter Tretter and wife Lydia; her brother Wolfgang Tretter and wife Hella, all of Germany; her sister-in-law, Rosalee Flanagan of Rock Port, Missouri; brother-in-law Dale Slemp and wife LoAnn of Aurora, Colorado; many, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews in Germany; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews residing in many places in the U.S. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Al; her infant brother, Peter Tretter; brother-in-law Remigius Schdler; her brother-in-law Richard Gleich; her brother-in-law Helmut (Heli) Holzer; her brother-in-law James Hudson and his wife Marie; and her brother-in-law Maurice Flanagan. Erika was a very loving, giving, generous woman. Anyone who knew her would agree that she didn't have to know you very long before she was giving you a big hug. She loved listening to music and watching the birds in her various bird baths. She also enjoyed her newest companion, her dog Missy, who was constantly at her side. She was a wonderful cook and her sons especially enjoyed her German cheesecake. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she enjoyed doing anything and everything with them. In fact, she even admitted that she felt an ache in her heart when she wasn't with them. She especially loved shopping with Melissa and watching Matthew play soccer, a game she loved. In the last year she became a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, where she especially loved to sing hymns, but more importantly renewed her relationship with our Lord. The family would like to express their thanks to the wonderful hospice staff of Presbyterian Hospice. Erika's memorial service will be held at 2:00 on Saturday, June 19, at Asbury United Methodist Church. Private interment of her cremated remains will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery at a later date. ZELLNER -- Floyd Milton Zellner, 89, husband, father, grandfather, and longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away on June 15, 2010. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Wanda; children, Linda Zellner, and Wayne Zellner and wife Donna; grandchildren, Brian Leslie and wife Paula, Wayne Zellner II and wife Amiee, and Craig Zellner and wife Annie, and 5 great - grandchildren. Milton was preceded in death by his daughter Karen in 2001. He was born on September 16, 1920 in Ardmore, OK. Milton proudly served his country during WWII as Tech SGT. with the Army Air Corps. He moved to Albuquerque after his service time where he met and married Wanda. Milton enjoyed sports, auto racing, and in his younger days was a bowling champion. He was inducted into the New Mexico Bowling Hall of Fame in 2000. During retirement, he and Wanda traveled the Continental United States in their RV.
