MILER -- LARRY LEE My father was a simple man who led a very small life. It wasn't without challenges, of those he had his fill, but he chose to overcome them, and he tried to do God's will. He'd write a heartfelt letter, and lived within his means, he loved to listen to music, drink coffee, bike, and read. He never missed a birthday, his was the first card on holidays, he tried to be a true friend and a good parent from far away. He was born October 22, 1950 in Sidney, NE, and spent many years in California, Oregon, Illinois, and New Mexico. He is preceded in death by his parents, Nona and Lee Miler; his son, Aaron Miler, and his sister, LaReta Taylor. He is survived by two daughters, Rebekah Miler-Lyles and Theresa Miler of Illinois, his sisters, Jeanne Pruitt and Louise Sharp of California, and Janet Reed of Arkansas. Two grandchildren, Xian and Aspen Lyles of Illinois, and many nieces and nephews. Since he was such a big Bob Dylan fan, I thought I would close with some words of encouragement from his lyrics. "When you're sad and when you're lonely and you haven't got a friend, Just remember that death is not the end. And all that you've held sacred, falls down and does not mend, Just remember that death is not the end. When you're standing at the crossroads that you cannot comprehend, Just remember that death is not the end. And all your dreams have vanished and you don't know what's up the bend, Just remember that death is not the end. When the storm clouds gather 'round you, and heavy rains descend, just remember that death is not the end. And there's no one there to comfort you, with a helpin' hand to lend, Just remember that death is not the end. Oh, the tree of life is growing where the spirit never dies, And the bright light of salvation shines in dark and empty skies. "
