JONES -- Gerald A. Jones (82), a long time resident of New Mexico since 1974, passed away on Friday, July 4, 2008. He is survived by his spouse, Kay Jones; son, Eddy Jones, Jacksonville, FL; daughter, Donna Steel, Kirkland, WA; granddaughter, Miranda Bieker, New York City, NY; granddaughter, Emily White, Edmond, OK. He is also survived by his brothers, Elvin Jones, Verl Jones, and Leon Jones; sisters, Norma Adams and Phyllis Reid; and numerous nieces and nephews. Gerald retired from the U.S. Army in 1965 after serving more than 20 years, and was a veteran of both WWII and Korea. After cremation, his remains will be interred in the veterans memorial vault at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be made to the Guide Dogs for the Blind, www.guidedogs.com
