Archibeque -- Angelica (Angel) S. Archibeque, 17, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on October 7, 2002 with her loving family at her side. Angel is survived by her parents, Gilbert and Cindee Archibeque; four sisters, Jessica, Vanessa, Valerie and Jasmine Archibeque; her grandparents, Emiliano and Charlotte Olguin and Ricarda Archibeque; her niece, Serina Martinez; her nephew, Gabriel Martinez; her best friend, Anita Maldonado; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Asbill -- Smith"Smitty" L. Asbill, Jr., M.D., 70, a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico and formally a longtime resident of Lubbock, Texas, passed away on October 6, 2002 with his adoring family by his side. He was born October 10, 1931 in Tipton, Oklahoma and moved with his family to Morse, Texas where he graduated high school in 1949. He then enlisted in the Navy and proudly served his country for four years in the Korean War. He was a medic for the Navy and Marines and was awarded a medal for his bravery. After being discharged from the Navy, he attended Texas Tech University and graduated with a degree in chemistry. Following graduation, he attended University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and received his medical degree in 1961. He interned at Methodist Hospital in Dallas and completed his residency in anesthesiology at Parkland Hospital in 1964. He then moved his family to Lubbock, Texas where he practiced at Methodist Hospital for 30 years as a member of Lubbock Anesthesia Associates. During his career he sat on the board of directors and served as District Director of TSA, was a delegate to ASA, a member of Lubbock/Garza County Medical Society, and a member of Phi Rho Medical fraternity. After retirement in 1994, he moved to Albuquerque followed by an adventurous move to Fairbanks, Alaska for four years and Hilo, Hawaii for one year before returning to Albuquerque this past June. Even though he loved practicing medicine and traveling, his most cherished love was his wife, Marjorie, his children and grandchildren. Among all his achievements throughout his wonderful life taking care of and loving his family gave him his greatest pride and joy. He is predeceased by his parents, Smith Langford Asbill, Sr. and Lois Asbill. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marjorie Asbill of Albuquerque; his five children, daughter, Lisa Morgan of Aspen, Colorado, daughter, Leslie Prichard and husband, Troy of Albuquerque, son, Robert Asbill and wife, Julie of Bella Vista, Arkansas, daughter, Lea Anne Oliver and husband, Todd of Waco, Texas, daughter, Laurel Kressler and husband, Rob of Albuquerque. He is also survived by his brother, Jimmie Asbill and wife, Marilyn of Mississippi; and 12 grandchildren, Ben, Greg, Briaun, Brishel, Jake, Brooke, Alex, Morgan, Ashlea, Christopher, Cody and Austin. Services will be held Thursday, October 10, 2002 p.m. in the chapel at Resthaven Funeral Home in Lubbock, Texas. Pallbearers will be Troy Prichard, Todd Oliver, Rob Kressler, Benjamin Furstenwerth, Jimmie Asbill, Dr. Billy P. Kincaid, Dr. James R. Moyes, and Dr. George Beck. The family will receive friends at Resthaven Funeral Home in Lubbock, Texas on Wednesday evening, October 9, 2002 between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Burke -- Edward E. Burke, 87, a resident of Albuquerque since 1974 after moving here from Centerville, MA, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2002. He is survived by two sons, Kenneth and wife, Ann and Robert; grandchildren, Jamie Morley, Lisa Tokarski, Stephen Burke and Anthony Burke; one great-grandchild, Kenny Morley; and sisters, Lester Ringer and Lorraine Tennent. He was preceded in death by Anna, the mother of his children who passed away in 1975; and his second wife Gerritdena; his mother, Elsie; father, Edward; and two brothers, Russell and William. Edward served in World War II and the Korean War. He was a fulltime member of the Massachusetts National Guard. Edward worked at the Hyannis National Guard Armory as a Supply Sergeant until his retirement in 1969. While in good health, he attended Asbury Methodist Church. Services will be held Wednesday, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with Pastor Clyde Stanfield officiating. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Stephen and Anthony Burke, Kenny Morley, Nathan Morley, Dave Van Pelt and Lloyd Marrujo. Caird -- Marilyn Frances Barrett Sweeney Caird, born February 14, 1928 in Fairmont, NE, gracefully passed away October 4, 2002, after a valiant fight against pancreatic cancer. Preceded in death by loving husbands, John E. (Jack) Sweeney and Robert S. Caird. Survived by sister, Ruby Patton, Anchorage, AL; son and daughter-in-law, John and Sue Sweeney of Omaha, NE; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Anita Sweeney-Reid and Peter Reid of Rio Rancho, NM; and four grandsons, Pat, Mike, John and James. Marilyn's early years were spent on a farm in Fairmont, NE. She graduated from St. Mary's College, Norte Dame, IN. Following graduation, Marilyn spent 20 years as an educator in El Rito and Los Alamos Public Schools. Marilyn was an active member of DAR and Colonial Dames, as well as an avid bridge player and a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Should friends desire, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society. Visitation will begin on Wednesday, October 9, 2002 at 6:00 p.m. where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Los Alamos. Chavez -- Richard S. Chavez, 76, a lifetime resident of Albuquerque, died October 5, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Connie Chavez of Albuquerque; daughter, Geri Chavez-Maron and husband, Paul E. Maron of Albuquerque; son, Robert M. Chavez of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Damian Maron, Nichol Maron, and Richard G. Chavez; and great-granddaughter, Mikaela M. Maron. Richard was preceded in death by his son, Richard T. Chavez; parents, Pablo and Adelaida Chavez; and his brothers and sisters, Lucy Ramirez, Gene Chavez, Adelia Apodaca, Nettie Reyes Stafford, Henry Chavez, and Raymond Ramirez. Richard was a member of the American Legion. He was a veteran of both WWII and the Korean War. He received a WWII Victory Medal. Droemer -- William John Droemer, 82, a resident of Albuquerque for 54 years, died Friday, October 4, 2002 at a local hospital. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy of 58 1/ 2 years; daughter, Jacqueline Kay Poe and husband, Dick of Angola, IN; son, W.J. Jr. Droemer and wife, Patti of Sealy, TX; two grandchildren, Kimerlee M. Daugherty and husband, David of Angola, IN, and Jesse Taylor Droemer and stepson, Brandon Eagle Droemer of Sealy, TX; two great-grandchildren, Gracen A. and Keaton D. Daugherty of Angola, IN. He was preceded in death by his father; mother; brother; sister; and twin daughters. He was born in San Antonio, TX on April 1, 1920 to W.F. and Theresa Marie Droemer. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 29 years. He then went to work for Rowland's Nurseries for ten years. He was a member of the White Shrine of Jerusalem in Hawaii. He was also a 32 Degree Mason of the Scottish Rite of Santa Fe. He was a past member of the American Rose Society and is a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Services will be held, Wednesday, October 9, 2002, 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Chapel, 1100 Indian School Rd NE with Pastor Ed Strebbe officiating. A military service will take place in the spring, at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, TX, where his twin daughters were buried.

Gonzalez -- Angie Gonzalez was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico on February 4, 1934. She was born again, when she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior in 1969. On October 5, 2002, she went home to be with the Lord. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Henry and Mary Sanchez; brothers, Frank, Rosendo, Arthur, Louie, Joe; sisters, Lilly and Stella; daughter, Cordelia; and son Gary. She is survived by sisters, Lucy Sanchez and husband, Ray, Lena Fischer and husband, Joe; brother, Mannie Sanchez; her loving husband of 50 years, Belarmino"Blackie" Gonzalez; son, Ted, wife, Pamela; daughters, Mary Kay, Vickie Archiveque, husband, Anthony; Annette Garcia, husband, Jim; grandchildren, Jeremiah Saiz, Jennifer, Jeff and Teddy Gonzalez; step-grandchild, Jacqui Garcia Boyd, Michelle and Jamie Garcia and Quinten Archiveque. Angie Gonzalez was President of Christian radio station KDAZ and co-founder of Christian television stations KCHF TV 11 and YTV 61 in Santa Fe and Albuquerque, New Mexico. Angie¯s greatest desire was that all of her family and friends would come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior and experience the blessings, promises and true peace that can only come through Jesus. Gordon -- H. Barry Gordon, 59, passed away October 1, 2002 after a valiant battle against cancer. He is survived by his wife, Lisa Gordon; sister, Pamela Gordon; and was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Gordon, MD; and mother, Beatrice Gordon. He was a resident of Albuquerque since 1953, a marine, and was a graduate of UNM. He was a member of Architectural Woodworkers Inst., Back Country Horseman of New Mexico, NRA, and Rio Grande Mule Assn. He was an avid hunter, and had a great love of the outdoors. He was a mountain climber, spelunker, scuba diver, and past member of the National Ski Patrol. He will be greatly missed by his family and many close friends. Green -- Samuel Green, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on October 5, 2002, at the age of 79. His greatest joy in life was his family and he is survived by his loving wife, artist Maera Green; and his children, Michelle Riesman, Tracy Green, Dori Sue Green Morris, and Marshall Green; and by his daughter-in-law, Sherry Green; and sons-in-law, Bruce Riesman, Alan Siegel, and Tom Morris; and his grandchildren, Evan, and Colin Riesman, Zoe and Sophia Siegel, and Emma and Maya Morris. He was born in 1923 in Vilna, Poland and grew up in El Paso, Texas. He served his country in World War II as a naval officer in the Pacific, attended Harvard University and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. In Albuquerque, he founded Green's Sanitary Supply. He served his community as President of Congregation B'Nai Israel, a founding Director of Western Bank and as a Shriner. Services will be held at Fairview Memorial Park at 4:00 p.m., Monday, October 7, 2002. Lamkin -- Billy"Chigger" Lamkin, age 73, passed away Friday, October 4, 2002 at his home. He was born September 13, 1929 in Holland, Missouri to the late William Marion and Neely Mae (Moseley) Lamkin. He is survived by one son, William T. Lamkin of Colorado Springs, Colorado; three sisters, Ethel Flowers of Albuquerque, Maurine Menne of Memphis, Tenn., Marian Lally of Albuquerque; three brothers, Henry Lamkin of Albuquerque, William A. Lamkin of Las Cruces, Clovis Paul Lamkin of Albuquerque; three grandchildren, Christopher Lamkin, Tamarah Hanson, and Nicolas Lamkin. He came to Albuquerque with his parents when he was 16 years old. He owned and operated Sphinx Manufacturing in Albuquerque for several years. Memorial Services will be held Thursday, October 10, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. in the Fitzgerald Chapel, 3113 Carlisle Blvd. N.E. Lucero -- Henry Lucero Jr., 57, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away October 5, 2002. He is survived by his sons, Henry"Hank" Lucero III and wife, Amy of Arvada, CO and Louie Lucero and wife, Renie of Victorville, CA; eight grandchildren; sisters, Alice Lucero of Albuquerque, Frances Hussey of Lampasas, TX, Carmelita Griego and husband, Leonides and Sylvia Salas, all of Albuquerque; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Caroline Lucero and a sister, Mildred. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Minser -- William B. Minser, age 85, passed away Monday, October 7, 2002 in Albuquerque. He was born, December 12, 1916, in Brockton, Montana to the late Grover T. and Genevieve (Barr) Minser. He is survived by one daughter, Carol Ann Kreuch and her husband, Robert of Bothell, Washington; three sons, William C. Minser and his wife, Marie of Sarasota, Florida, Frederick P. Minser and his wife, Linda of Garland, Texas, Arthur L. Minser and his wife, Theresa of Albuquerque; Seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy (Holmstrom) Minser in 2000. William was a machinist with Sandia Corp. from 1953 to 1983. Private Services will be held at a later time. Montano -- Damacio Montano, 31, a resident of Belen and formerly of Socorro, was taken home on the early morning of Sunday, October 6, 2002. Damacio known to everyone as"Moss" was a Sheriff's Deputy in Valencia County. Moss was known more then just by his first name, he was known by husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and partner. Preceding him in death was his¯ brother, Greg Montano. He is survived by his loving wife of four years, Lina;¯ and his two small children, three year old daughter, Josceline; and eleven month old son, Dereck; his mother, Tomacia McFadden and stepfather, Marion of Wagoner, OK; his father, Joe Montano and stepmother, Maria of Socorro; mother-in-law, Rosario Bolanos; seven brothers, Eric, Joe, Rick, Stanley, Chon Montano, Gilbert Avalos, and Ivan Elery; and one sister, Maria Corley. He is also survived by his vast number of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins, that will miss him as well. Not to forget all the people, friends, and co-workers that he had the privilege of encountering in his short but plentiful life. He will remain in our hearts and will not be forgotten. Moore -- Patrick A. Moore, 48, a resident of Albuquerque for 43 years, died Thursday, October 3, 2002. He is survived by his son, Arlen Moore; daughter, Audrey Moore, both of Albuquerque; one brother, Michael Moore of Carlsbad, NM; four sisters, Phyllis Manns of Dallas, TX, Lois Blanks of Tacoma, WA, Janice Pettis of Sacramento, CA and Corliss Lozano of Bastrop, TX; and great-aunt, Barbara Brautigam of Sacramento, CA. Mr. Moore was a caring father and brother. He loved fishing with friends and family. Mr. Moore leaves behind a legacy of beautiful landscaping in the Albuquerque area. Randolph -- Clara Randolph, passed away on October 6, 2002 following an extended illness. A native New Mexican, she was born in Mountainair, New Mexico, on January 12, 1915, the first daughter of well-known pioneer family, Gus and Effie Mahan, who settled in White Oaks, NM, Lincoln County Territory. She grew up on the"Largo" near Cuba, NM. The family moved to Farmington where she graduated from high school. She came to Albuquerque in 1940 to attend Western Business College. Clara worked at Kirtland Air Force Base during WWII and Atomic Energy Commission, Los Alamos, after her marriage to Eugene Randolph in 1950. Upon return to Albuquerque, she assisted her husband in their plumbing business. She was active in American Business Women's Association for more than 20 years. Clara held every office, serving as President of El Segundo Chapter twice, and was chosen"Woman of the Year" for that chapter in 1979. She received great pleasure in attending Region and National conventions having missed only one during her years of service. She was also a member of Pilot Club, The League of Women Voters, and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Eugene Randolph, was preceded in death by one daughter, Viola Williams. She is also survived by one grandson, Kenneth Williams, his wife; and two great-grandsons; one brother, Joe Mahan; two sisters, Elsie McConnell and Frances Roehl; one sister, Wanda Doss, preceded her in death. Several nieces and nephews also survive her. An active member of Fruit Avenue Baptist Church for many years, Clara loved her Lord, her family and her many friends. She will be truly missed by all. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 9, 2002 in the Palm Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary 1100 Coal Ave SE with Pastor Larry Wills officiating. Interment will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that your contributions be made to the American Heart Association or the charity of your choice. Rutherford -- Robert E. Rutherford, age 79, a longtime Santa Fe resident, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2002. He faced cancer with dignity for the last three years. Born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on December 5, 1922, he lived his childhood years in Bernalillo, New Mexico. He graduated from St. Michael's High School in Santa Fe in 1940 where he played on the State Championship Basketball team that placed second at the National Catholic High School tournament in Chicago, Ill. He attended the University of New Mexico studying Mechanical Engineering prior to enlisting in the military. He served his country during World War II as a decorated member of the Army Air Force, receiving eight Bronze Battle Stars for various campaigns and the Air Medal for meritorious service as a radio operator and mechanic gunner on B-24 flights over the Pacific Theater. He was honorably discharged in November, 1945. He worked for Charles Ilfield & Co., Kimball Foods, General Tire and Montgomery Wards, retiring from Wards as the Automotive Manager in 1988. He attended St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary J. Rutherford; children, Cathy and Jay Stanke, parents of Alexis and Camden Stanke, Mike and Rose Rutherford, parents of Atalie Rutherford, and Patty and Kevin Wagner parents of Kayla and Patrick Wagner. Robert is also survived by his older brother, Phillip Rutherford, formerly of Bernalillo. A Rosary will be held at McGee Memorial Chapel on Thursday, October 10, 2002, at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Church, 1301 Osage Ave. in Santa Fe on Friday October 11, 2002, at 9:30 a.m. followed by interment at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you spend a day at your favorite outdoor activity celebrating Robert's life.

Taylor -- Lois S. Taylor, 86, was born in Albuquerque on February 21, 1916. She passed away peacefully on October 8, 2002. Lois is survived by her husband, Patrick N. Tiley -- Earl Tiley, 75, a long time resident of Los Lunas, passed away peacefully at his home after a battle with cancer. Earl was a Christian man devoted to his walk with Christ and to his family.
