Lamkin -- Billy"Chigger" Lamkin, age 73, passed away Friday, October 4, 2002 at his home. He was born September 13, 1929 in Holland, Missouri to the late William Marion and Neely Mae (Moseley) Lamkin. He is survived by one son, William T. Lamkin of Colorado Springs, Colorado; three sisters, Ethel Flowers of Albuquerque, Maurine Menne of Memphis, Tenn., Marian Lally of Albuquerque; three brothers, Henry Lamkin of Albuquerque, William A. Lamkin of Las Cruces, Clovis Paul Lamkin of Albuquerque; three grandchildren, Christopher Lamkin, Tamarah Hanson, and Nicolas Lamkin. He came to Albuquerque with his parents when he was 16 years old. He owned and operated Sphinx Manufacturing in Albuquerque for several years. Memorial Services will be held Thursday, October 10, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. in the Fitzgerald Chapel, 3113 Carlisle Blvd. N.E. William T. Lamkin will officiate and interment will follow at the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
